Body Piercing And Tattoo Shop reviews in Portland

  • I am 58 years old and I have never done anything like it and I don?t need any other tattoo. I thought, I am going to just do this!? It hurt like a dickens, just so you know. It hurt crazy, what?s with that! My daughter has them all over her body and I think she?s crazy. He has a little shop. I was sweating. It took less than an hour to do the tattoo. They numb your skin. There is actually kind of a chemical surface numbing, so we just sat there and visited for 10 minutes. He does a drawing and then it is just like an electrical shock across the eyebrows. Of course, they looked terrible at first and then they healed.

Oh, my gosh, they are awesome! It is awesome for old ladies whose eyebrows no longer want to look good anymore, it no longer works. I did get a lot of references because this is something that is not just a furnace. He?s actually an artist, very personable, easy, affordable. He does two treatments. In the future if I needed more work, I would do it. When you get a certain age as a woman, the eyebrows don?t grow in as much. He said just trim them down low, he wants to see the natural arch. You can actually tattoo over hair. Then he drew on it and I looked at it. I said, ?hey, that looks great!? It was $495 for two treatments. I don?t have any concerns, there is no unhappiness. I mean it hurt, but he warned me. He helped out with a little pain meds and kind of a cream afterwards. He is not a doctor, but it was clean, it was clear, it was efficient. I liked it!

He was relaxed. He picked the color and I wasn?t sure of it from the bottle. That color is one of the compliments that I get the most of, it is the color is perfect for me. I might have picked one that wasn?t as good. He knows when he puts it on, that when it heals it actually gets a little bit lighter. I wouldn?t have known any of that. He picked the color even though at the time I wasn?t sure, but it?s perfect. Most of the compliments I get, is that it looks natural. I just want to roll around in my wheelchair without penciling on eyebrows at 92. He says it just a great little time saver for women, because they can get up and run out the door. They don?t have to worry about that part of their makeup care. He was right, it was great.

It's a beautiful waiting room with paintings that he has done. He has a nice working area where he keeps you away from the waiting room. He calls back immediately. Actually, you do a pre-consultation. I would have not done it the first time. I went in, he showed me the place, showed me the equipment and we talked about color then. Everything was above what I expected. He answers right back, the questions that you worry about. If someone strings you along, your apprehension remains and you no longer have the courage. He called me, he explained it and then he said come in. He got me in fairly quickly, so that some of those apprehensions that make you not take this route. You have already seen where you are going to be, what it? going to look like, the chair you?re going to sit in, how he?s going to do it.

So, on the day when I made the appointment, I was ready and I was excited. I had a pre-tattoo meeting, then he does the tattoo and a follow up. I think he was very competitively priced, he wasn?t overpriced at all. The amount seems large, but not with three visits. His response is immediate. Immediate on the phone. I got in to see him within a week. Which was awesome because had it strung out another 2 or 3 months, I might have not wanted to do it. He made it seem so easy and it wasn?t this dark, scary place. Which by the way I have been to with my daughter. I have been to tattoo palors, oh my gosh! This isn?t like it. This is a tattoo for grown up women. It was well lit, the location is odd, he is near a pet store. I love the pet store, so that doesn?t matter. It?s beautifully done, he is very professional, he?s quick and it wasn?t as scary as I thought it was going to be.

He is very knowledgeable and he has done this for a long time. Being an artist, he was very comfortable with the drawing part. He understood that faces are not symmetrical, they are a symmetrical and he warned me that they might look different. He follows the bone structure of the face. He has it all. The tattoo actually fades, so I will be going back. It just takes a couple of months, what it does, your body heals and he puts on too much at first to really get it imbedded. He said, this is a work in progress, it might take a couple more times to get the look or the density that you like. It wasn?t scary, he was completely capable and it may require additional services from him. Of course, I will go back to him.

  • Tattoo by Cory. Long wait, which I expected from prior reviews. They were happy to set up a design consultation, and make requested adjustments on the day of service. Shop was clean and staff were pleasant. No attitude despite the fact that this was my first tattoo. Instructions were clear, healing time was minimal and the work is very pretty.

  • I went in without an appointment but was helped within a very few minutes. Even though I am an old lady (63), probably not the usual customer, I was treated very well. Laura Jane first tried to find the original hole so she could enlarge it but the back had grown together. She asked me if I wanted to re-pierce it and I said yes. I was asked to fill out a bunch of paperwork to make sure I really wanted to do this. This shop is very clean and meticulous about clean instruments and preparing the skin surface before piercing. Aftercare was fully explained with urging to come in if I had any questions or problems. I purchased a pair of studs with high quality posts for both ears which are not irritating the new piercing or the old at all, unlike many of my previously purchased earrings that need to be removed by the end of the day. I was very pleased with the experience and plan to return to buy more earrings!
I have no idea when this shop opened so the and quot;home buildand quot; year below is the year I visited it.

  • It is down town in Portland. They are incredible. They are really good. They are incredibly professional. They couldn't be any cleaner. They have skilled professionals that have been working there for years. They develop a relationship with their clients. They are beyond sanitary. They have every kind of piercing you could ever want and I am sure most people would freek out at and I would freek out at myself. They are the only place my friends have gone. They have anchor piercing that tuck into your skin and all that and she just has a little jewel showing or what ever. It is a medical procedure and they treat it like it is a medical procedure. THey are very good at what they do. Their prices are reasonable. I got my nose piercing done there six years ago and it has been perfect. I will go there again.

  • We went in, got an appointment and they were able to take us in about 15minutes later. They were very willing and patient to explain to us the whole process; pricing, risk and health care follow up. It was overall a very good experience. They were great.

  • They were great and I give them and A rating. I just really liked their artist and they were really responsive to what I wanted. Getting a tatoo is not something that you do lightly. It is something that is there forever so I worked with my artist with a lot of intention. He drew a couple of different pictures of what I wanted until we finally agreed on something I was happy with. He took a lot of time to make sure he was representing the image as best as he could. He did a fantastic job and he went the extra mile.

  • I went into Beauty is Skin Deep for a consultation, and to make an appointment when I could get a ride since it was a 40 minute drive from where I live.  I have had this procedure done twice before by other technicians, but they no longer do permanent makeup. I had a refer for Joyce Bamburg, but it was not a current referal.  Joyce Bamburg pressured me into getting the treatment that day.  She said she would be taking before and after picures, which is actually the law, but she did not take any pictures. The first two times I had this work done it was a breeze.  With Joyce it was extremely painful and I was left bruised and bloody. After the treatment healed, my eyebrows had missed spots and tattooing outside my browline.  When I asked Joyce to repair her work, she told me she would but I would have to pay her. There was nothing professional about Joyce Bamburg or her work.

  • I went in to get an estimate and Amy was able to tattoo me right then. She was quick and her work was exactly what I wanted. It only took 20 minutes so I was only charged $60 instead of the $120 they charge for a whole hour.

  • I talked to one of Donna's clients and she said the same thing happened to her.
