    Todd Ulmer MD
my wife was relating to her obgyn that i had ongoing pain in my right arm and neck. Her doc said "i know just the guy for your husband. He specializes in shoulders and is great". Well he was right. First he had my neck MRI'd to eliminate that as a source and then the shoulder. One of the four shoulder muscles had torn loose. Did the surgery just before christmas.  Interestingly dr ulmer had me wait several weeks to start physical therapy. I had a buddy whose doc had him working his shoulder after 2 weeks. The therapist said the updated view was to let the reattached tendon get it's initial set before starting p.t.. All my interaction with dr ulmer and his staff was A+,but the thing that cemented my high opinion was a comment by the therapist. He was surprised early on by my degree of mobility and lack of pain-i had stopped taking meds 2 days post op. The therapist went on to say in clear and direct terms that physical therapists can tell the top notch surgeons from the not so good because the really good surgeons have patients that experience less pain, have greater mobility sooner and generally recover quicker. In contrast lesser surgeons muck around more creating more trauma resulting in tougher, longer recoveries. He said that these patterns repeat over and over in patients. Also, even though both dr ulmer and the therapist told me i would only get 85-90% mobility back i have full range of motion except that one where you put your arm behind your back an lift as high as possible. And i will get that back too. Anyway, in summation dr ulmer is an ace.

    Rebound Orthopedics
The best experience ever! We had xrays and a MRI. The MRI was a little inconclusive (not done at the Rebound Clinic) Dr. Colville read it as good as he could, told us that my daughter probably tore her labrum. As it turned out she tore her rotator cuff, labrum, biceps tendon and a couple more muscles in her shoulder. The surgery took about 1 1/2 hours. After 3 months of rehab she has pretty good range of motion and is now starting to lift weights. Our hope is that she will be back to playing volleyball in June. Dr. Colville is friendly and polite he has a great bedside manner, but most of all I believe he is a fabulous surgeon. I would recommend him to any one who needs shoulder surgery.

    Orthopedic/Sports Medicine Ctr
They were very friendly on the phone and told me to visit their website and print off the new patient paperwork. Finding the building wasn't to hard and they even had a parking lot! When I arrived there I gave them my new patient paperwork and I had to wait less than 1 minute. They brought me back to the exam room five minutes early. It was awesome! Then within 2 minutes another nurse came in and i walked ten feet down the hall and had x-rays taken of my knee. I was then brought back to my exam room where I must have waited less than 5 additional minutes. Dr. Joseph Schenck then saw me for my exam and diagnosis. He spent over 30 minutes with me examining my knee and explaining my diagnosis. He then gave me several options for treatment. I picked physical therapy which he gave me a referral for. He gave me several names, but the one I went to is up one floor in the building. It was super convenient and they were equally awesome. I would definitely recommend this clinic for anyone who want good care by experts who care bout you and value your time.

    Back in Motion
They have the ability to really listen to what needed to be taken cared of. They address the cause not just the symptoms. They are very professional. They have good bedside manner as well. They make you feel very comfortable in there and I have had great results. They are really thorough. The owner of the clinic also is the chiropractor for the Portland Winterhawks and the local football team too, the Portland Timbers. He is very professional. He has been chiropractor and sports physician for the Olympic teams. He is very well experienced and trained.

    The KOR Physical Therapy
I love the facilities at the KOR. They have a wide variety of options for physical therapy....machines, massage, accupuncture. Chloe is an extremely knowledgeable therapist and the receptionist LIsa is one of the best behind the desk personel I've ever had help me in ANY business. I go to the KOR periodically for help as I have old age bones and issues. I work with Chloe for a few weeks to get back on track then she sends me home with exercises to fit that particular problem I'm having at the time. Then when another age related issue pops up, back I go. Just as we have to take our older cars in for maintenance repairs, I have to do that same thing for my body!
I would recommend the KOR without hesitation.

The physical therapy is really great. The people are really nice. The only problem is they do not have enough people. It is hard to get appointments. My first appointment took almost a month to get in. I really like my doctor and the office is really good. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They have a high turn over because they pull students from the medical school. Sometimes I have to wait an hour.

    Stride Strong Physical Therapy-Sellwood
I met Alice at the Holiday Half race on December 15th where she did some quick but very effective treatment on my leg. From there, I decided to make an appointment for further treatment. Have seen her 3 times so far, and the pain has been greatly reduced with no decrease in my weekly mileage.

I sit in front of a computer all day and has taken a toll on my body.  I was having severe pain in my sciatic nerve and I went to him to try to get this resolved.  Since seeing him this pain has gradually been receding and my range of movement has increased. He also gives me certain exercises to do after each session to try and help.  I went to a few different medical practices to try and get this taken care of and most just wanted to throw pills at my problem.

    West Portland Physical Therapy Clinic
These folks are awesome. Warm, professional, highly skilled and delightful. I went there after pulling out my back and pelvis and having an er doc abuse me. They were sensitive and able to find the problem and treat it successfully. Its a lovely atmosphere and very comfortable.

I highly recommend this program to anyone that wishes to increase their memory, focusing ability and over all brain functioning. With Darren's exercises I was actually able to grow new brain cells and increase my overall effectiveness. Becoming more efficient helps save time in my day. His program also helps people with ADD, ADHD and he works with many atheletes that are wanting to increase their focus and better their game.
