  • Quality and speed was excellent. All windows and doors trimmed and flashing installed on all windows and doors & other areas such as where siding met roof shingles. All seams neatly caulked. A couple of minor disagreements negotiated to my satisfaction. Good clean up at the end of each day.

  • My experience with A Cut Above Exteriors’ installation of HardiPlank lap siding on my 1931 home was impressive. From the Sales Consultant Jason’s project assessment, design suggestions, scope of work, cost, and final project agreement, to the Project Manager Sam’s handling of the complete project, who was always available for every question, to the Project Leader, maestro Nikolai, this home improvement project could not have gone more smoothly. The crew’s work ethic, arriving punctually every day, their attention to detail, repairing patches of dry rot, and Nikolai’s design ideas to improve the aesthetics of my home, as wells as the paint job by Vladimir and his crew, far exceeded my expectations. Throughout the project everyone was friendly, communicative, and professional. I also ended up replacing my basement and garage windows using Renewal by Anderson that A Cut Above Exteriors is associated with. With their array of services, along with their expertise and professionalism, it goes without saying that I highly recommend A Cut Above Exteriors.

  • From start to finish, Scott and his team did an amazing job with our house siding project. At our first meeting, Scott gave us some ideas to modernize and upgrade our 70’s ranch style home, ideas for what siding to pick and different ways to install it. He also recommended that we get new gutters, and referred us to a great company. In addition, he brought Chris, the project foreman, over to meet us before work commenced. Once the work began, we were so impressed by the quickness, efficiency, and tidiness of Chris and Diego’s work. Every morning, Chris would touch base with me before I left for work. In the evening, he would do the same with my husband when he got home. We really appreciated the communication. It can feel invasive to have someone working on your home every day, but Chris and Diego were so nice and easy to be around. By the end of our project, they felt like family. My husband and I both really enjoyed chatting with them. In addition to the design advice that Scott gave us, Chris also came up with some very pleasing solutions to some of the odd things that tend to pop up, and he came up with the best idea for framing our windows. He was patient and respectful while we took the time to make up our minds about some of the options, and even rigged up two design options for window trim so we could see what it would look like. Scott was attentive as well, and was always just a text away when we had questions. We are thrilled with the job that Chris, Diego, and Scott did, and I would highly recommend them if you need your house sided.

  • Right from the start you will feel very comfortable with Oleg. He will listen to what you want then ask questions and offer suggestions. In our case he pointed out some repairs I could do myself to save money. He offered up other suggestions that would save us money while still getting the look we wanted. He is very thorough while doing the initial walk through. He explained everything that needed to be done and how it will be done. The estimate I received was fair and had every detail we talked about with no hidden surprises. So, we decided to go with M Brothers to do the whole house siding. Once you are on the schedule, they show up at the scheduled time and go right to work. During construction, they will ask before doing something that might be out of the ordinary. They do all the little details that make the end result spectacular. At the end of the day they will clean up and leave the site like they found it. These 3 guys do the work of a crew of 10. I could not believe how much they got done each day and how fast the job went. I see other construction crews hide from the rain, not these guys, they are prepared to work in all conditions. We had some struggles with choosing colors for our new siding. All 3 brothers were very helpful with their suggestions and patience with us while we were trying to figure all this out. We now have the best looking house on our street thanks to M Brothers Oleg, Alex and Eric are professional, courteous, respectful and very skilled at what they do. They take great pride in their craft and their work definitely shows it. They will treat your house as if it were their own. You will not be disappointed in choosing M-Brothers Construction!

  • Jaime from Lifetime Remodeling Systems came to repair my siding. The water from a drain pipe was flowing backward and caused the wood around the siding to rot. Jaime patiently explained to me what was wrong and how best to fix it. After he gathered the materials needed, he proceeded to make the repair. He took pictures for the before and after and he invited me to inspect the job when it was finished. The new drain pipe extension with a 90 degree angle, new wood, new siding, and the new paint looked absolutely beautiful. I totally recommend Lifetime Remodeling Systems for all your siding needs.

  • We were disappointed by the quality of the work. When we brought up concerns Greg minimized them, having some "fixed" in a way that didn't look much better, to the point that we got frustrated and stopped asking for fixes in our eagerness to end the project and do touch ups ourselves. They didn't walk us through what the final effect was going to look like at all and we ended up surprised by decisions that were made without consulting us, such as trimming the corners of the house, what the window trim looked like, etc. The siding installation was fine but they didn't seem to take much care in the finished look. The painting was the worst, they didn't sand anywhere first, did a sloppy job, and then insisted two coats had been put on in places you could clearly see the old color underneath. When someone was sent out to touch it up, they still missed spots. They convinced us to add insulation and led us to believe it would be foam, then used blown fiberglass-maybe there was a reason for this, but again, we weren't included in the choice. Oh, and it started two weeks late and took almost 6 months to finish. The house looks better than it did before, the workers at the house were nice and Lindsey in the office was good at keeping us informed of the schedule where she could, but we were left feeling taken advantage of. Greg sold us with his initial enthusiasm and what we thought was a good deal, saying he wanted to "put a sign in our yard and use our house to get more jobs," but I wouldn't recommend them and they certainly didn't leave a sign.

  • A house-painting estimator had given me a heads-up that a corner board of my siding appeared to be rotten and should probably be replaced before they painted my house. This posed a challenge, because the refrigerant and electrical lines of my ductless heat pump system both ran right over this corner board, with not a lot of room to spare. So, the HVAC company that installed the heat pump was going to need to send out their worker to loosen or take down these lines, at the same time that the SFW workers came to fix the corner board. My SFW project manager helped me figure out how to do this: Find out which company was scheduled farther out ahead, and schedule with them; then ask for the exact same date with the other company. The HVAC company was scheduled out farther ahead, so SFW Construction scheduled their team to come on the same day that I had booked with the other company. As it turned out, both of the men that SFW sent to work on my project were very highly experienced. Once they began removing the corner board, I was in for a surprise: The corner board was far more seriously rotted than it had originally appeared to be, and there was some framing damage below it as well. (See attached photos; framing damage was at bottom corner of cantilevered section of house.) The workers also noticed that adjacent siding had been applied without a vapor barrier below it, and that there appeared to be possible moisture damage around a nearby window. They asked my permission to remove more adjacent siding so they could remediate these issues, and I agreed. Fortunately, the area around the window did not yet have rot, so they applied an anti-fungal coating and put in appropriate moisture barriers. They repaired the rotted framing ends by cutting away the rotted parts and putting in new wood. Some other reviewers have complained about the fact that SFW does everything on a time and materials basis, rather than giving the customer an exact quote ahead of time of how much the job will cost. Well, they specialize in repairing house rot, and with that kind of job, it is often literally impossible to see how much repair work will need to be done until the damaged area has been torn apart. That was certainly the case with this job. (Ten years ago I hired another company to fix siding rot elsewhere on my house ... when I was getting bids for that job, more than once, I had someone look at the job, tell me they would send me a bid, and then accidentally-on-purpose forget to send the bid--probably because they did not want the risk of promising a certain price and then having the job be more extensive than expected.) This repair job did cost more than I expected it to, but I felt they knew what they were doing and did high-quality work.

  • Great company to work with. We had a leak that was thought to be in the roof, but kvn was able to diagnose that the issue was actually our siding/window. They fixed it and no leak ever since. Thank you guys!
