  • They did a good job with some minor corrections needed.  Came back in a reasonable length of time and finished as we requested.

  • I have used Angie's List several times to find contractors and I rave when I get great quality and service. I found Provider name locked. Brothers on here and they had great reviews and lots of experience with older homes. I met with Provider name locked. , one of the owners, on 11/3/14 and we discussed options for improving my basement space. I was excited because Provider name locked. was consultative and had some good ideas. But, a month later, I still don't even have a quote! I have followed up several times with Provider name locked. by email checking on status of my quote. Provider name locked. 's response to me on 11/13/14: "Thanks for the email! Yes, I was just looking over your drawing today. I should be putting together an initial quote shortly--either this week or early next week." Provider name locked. 's response to me on 11/21/14: "Thanks for the email! No, I haven't made full progress yet. I'll pull the final estimate together as soon as I can." Provider name locked. 's response to me on 11/25/14: "My apologies for the delay. we've been remarkably swamped the past month. It is close to the top of my list to put together." I finally told him don't bother and I'll find another contractor. And he's one of the owners! Really disappointing and incredibly unprofessional. I'm not sure he even wanted the job and didn't have the courtesy to be up front with me.

  • Provider name locked. is a pleasure to work with. He gave us an initial estimate over a year ago. When we decided to go ahead with the project this summer, he spent a lot of time with us talking through the plan and updating the estimate. Provider name locked. has a strong background in carpentry, and handled all the framing, stairs, and custom bookshelves and wood tub surround himself. He did a fine job soliciting bids and managing subcontractors. We had a few small problems with the tile and concrete work, and Provider name locked. followed up with them immediately and did what he could to fix the problems to our satisfaction. Overall, everyone's work was high quality, and Provider name locked. was instrumental in helping us achieve the aesthetic we were wanting on a reasonable budget. He is extremely friendly, kind, sensible, and responsive. Perhaps the only thing we wished to change about Provider name locked. 's business practices was the billing aspect: he doesn't provide as much detail about costs as we had expected. We knew the individual broadbrush costs of the plumber, electrician, HVAC, drywall, painting, tile, etc., but no details about the bulk of the job's cost (which consisted of Provider name locked. 's labor, management, permits, plans, lumber, demo, windows, doors, egress window digging, etc.). It turned out to be fine, since his bid wasn't too far off from the actual cost (except for changes we made knowingly). That being said, I can't imagine having gotten such a good result along with such a pleasant experience from anyone else. I highly recommend Provider name locked. , particularly if you don't want everything about your project to be completely standard. It was a great experience to collaborate with him.
