    Affordable Home Remodeling
They were very flexible to do the initial quote, and worked around my family's schedule. The work was done on the exact days they specified. The team was professional and skilled. I would recommend them to others in the Portland area. This is the second house I have used this company to replace all of the windows on our home. They also helped with all of the paperwork to get our Energy Trust refund processed - so helpful!

    GreenSavers
I hired Greensavers to do some weatherization and to install a heat pump system with ducted and ductless components. I've had nothing but problems, and communication from Greensavers has been imprecise, slow, and evasive. First, they installed the wrong outdoor unit. What I asked for, and what they specified in the quote they gave me, was a Mitsubishi 42k BTU system, of which only one model exists, which was a HyperHeat model. They instead installed a 40k BTU system without HyperHeat. When I pointed out this error to them, they required me to pay extra to get them to install the unit they had quoted in the first place. On top of that, the unit they had installed wasn't working properly. Then when I brought up the constant clicking and popping and creaking noises from the indoor units, which was loud enough to wake me repeatedly all night, every night, whether the units are turned on or not, they were slow in responding on trying to take action. Consistently, they would wait until the very end of the day on Fridays to reply to my emails, and even if I answered within 2 or 3 minutes, it would be the next Friday again until they replied. On at least one occasion, the person they were sending out to try to fix the problem never even showed up. Then, after almost 4 months of slow back and forth communication and no resolution to the problems, they've simply stopped responding to me. The last time that they came out to try a fix was in mid April, and I let them known on April 19th that the problem still existed. They haven't replied to any of my contact attempts since then, and it has been a month and a half. Here we are now, half a year after the system was installed, and there are still problems that Greensavers has acknowledged, but is refusing to make right. This is after they installed the wrong unit and made me pay extra to get the unit I needed (and that they quoted) installed instead.

Working with Green Savers from start to finish proved to be a great experience. Everyone I dealt with was knowledgable and courteous. Meghan impressed me with her skills and attitude. I couldn't be happier with the finished product. I would highly recommend Green Savers for your next project!

    Revival Energy LLC
I can not say enough about the team at Revival Energy! I have been working with them for 4 years now on my 90 yr old Portland home. Ben was my introduction to their work with an energy assessment. I wanted to seal up all the drafty areas of my home and install central A/C. During the assessment, Ben quickly identified that my furnace was producing dangerous levels of carbon monoxide. I really liked his statement, if this were a public building, it would be condemned. In their busy season of November, they put me as a priority and installed a new furnace in under 2 weeks. While I dont recommend this approach to get your furnace quickly, they recognized that I would have no heat and did their best to help me. I then installed A/C the next year. They did a very smooth install of a very efficient central A/C (Rheem prestige). With further house work, we had to move the A/C. This seemed simple to me, but I didnt realize it would take them almost 8 hours. That refrigerant removal and refill is a slow process, by necessity! A few weeks after the move, I just didnt feel like the A/C was working well enough (and in the hottest part of the year no less!). Their office staff and specifically the co-owner, Jim Ballman, fielded multiple, multiple phone calls and emails. Robert, their lead service tech and co-owner, came to my house to check it out. Luckily, the Rheem Prestige has a panel that reports error codes. Im so happy I had this model installed, thanks to Ben! Refrigerant was low and rapidly addressed by Robert. As he got the refrigerant filled, Robert patiently answered all my sniggling questions. He was very gracious, and a very sharp fellow. I am so thankful for their patience, hard work and expertise in their field. It is very hard to find a quality company like this. Please treat them well, they deserve it!!! Thanks so much to Jim, Robert, Ben and all the office staff.

    Revival Energy LLC
I did a lot of research on furnaces and had estimates from 5 different companies. Revival was the cheapest and they did a great job with the project. There were a couple of changes. From the original estimate, and Brett was quick in offering discounts in line ith those changes. Revival was also the only company that offered a 3 year guarantee on their labor. All-in-all it was a pleasure working with them.

    GreenSavers
Greensavers consultant was prompt, did a thorough analysis, and had a lot of interesting observations about my house. Ultimately, Greensavers quote was significantly more expensive than another company's, and would not have been able to go ahead for several months (as opposed to several weeks), so I didn't use them.

    Josh Lowe's Dr Energy Saver
Very well. Their examination of the problems, the cleaning, restoration and correction of problems and the installation both of spray and blow materials were professionally handled. The crew were a friendly and courteous group.

Ben is an incredible communicator! He broke down some of the more complex heating and energy concepts by using a familiar 'every day' analogy that I could understand. NEVER ONCE did he try to 'sell' me on ANYTHING, he gave me a TON of information not just about the issues my home has but also what to look out for when choosing a service professional to perform the necessary work. I CANNOT say ENOUGH about this young man's professionalism, depth of knowledge, and communication skills. I got an EDUCATION and an ACTION PLAN out of this deal!

    Revival Energy LLC
Ben arrived on time and seemed friendly, professional and knowledgeable. HOWEVER, after few weeks, we feel he was more of a salesman than anything. Which is fine, really, as that's what his job was. But, he said that he could save us a few hundred dollars by not having a professional mold analyzer come out as he could see we had "white and black mold". We had a mold remediation contractor come out and he said that it was actually illegal to label something as "white and black mold" and felt that that was a scare tactic. Apparently, only when it is analyzed, can that determination be made. "Black mold" is a misnomer, and some that appear black are actually harmless. While we do have visible mold, we now feel he should not have used the terms he did, and possibly he said that just to get us to sign us with his company quickly. In addition, Ben said to please ask any questions, and while he was responsive for a few questions, he answers dwindled down to one line of "Sounds like a plan" when that didn't answer my question at all. So, I wrote again, with several questions on the 17th, and never heard back. Yes, there was a holiday, so I gave him extra time to answer, but still nothing. So, I switched professionalism and responsiveness from As to Ds due to the above and we won't be using Revival.

The crew took down and replaced the window dressing hardware and drapes on the inside as well as the awnings on the outside. The crew arranged to have both windows painted prior to installation and came back on a dry day to paint the outside.
