I had an extraction, bone graft, tissue regeneration and implant placed by Dr. Haghighat. I am so pleased with the work and the staff. I was extremely nervous about the procedure as I’ve had much trauma with my teeth including a long ago car accident. Melissa, the dental tech, and Dani, office manager, were so compassionate. They really put me at ease and made the whole process much easier. They were very accepting of my fear (and tears). Dr. Haghighat is excellent, clearly proficient and professional. He takes pride in his good work. I am so thankful I had this team to guide me through a rough process. They are a great team. Love them!!

Very prompt appointment scheduling, most interactions courteous if a tad gruff. Dr Smucker was quick and to the point and gave the right diagnosis. A little old school in bed side manner and practicing philosophy.

It's always been top notch service. I was referred to him be an ER doctor after a serious accident and stayed through many maladies. He is a GP but is also my diabetes physician. He has referred me to excellent specialists for cancer and joint problems. My wife has being going to him almost as long as I have and she is very satisfied too.

Satisfactorily as far as the providers went. I have a couple of problems with the building itself. One is that the heat there has been inadequate for a number of years, and for someone who often has to wait there an hour or two for transportation, it is difficult to sit around in the chilly surroundings with no choice. Also, recently they've put a coded lock on their public washroom. I was able to get the code but now must have it with me if I want to enter the washroom. I always do use the washroom there because of the long waits for transportation, and this lock on the door makes that more difficult. The doors to the washroom aren't wheelchair accessible either. But the staff people are cheerful and helpful, and the building is bright and looks well designed.

Do NOT choose Dr. Uppal as your primary care physician! My wife left her office in tears this morning. She needed a refill prescription for anti-anxiety medication that she'd been taking for years and Dr. Uppal recommended therapy. Both of her parents have recently passed away so, yes, she's tried therapy. The grand irony of the whole situation is three years ago, Dr. Uppal had absolutely no misgivings prescribing me Valium for my frequent and very real fear of flying. Whether it's a crisis of career conscience for having ridden the Pfizer train for the lion's share of her career or just a pure heartlessness in the face of someone in psychological need, Dr. Uppal needs to take a profound inventory and seriously requesting if she's in the right profession. My vote is an unequivocal "No."

This is the health clinic where I go to see my PCP. It has always been easily available, minimal waiting time, and friendly staff. I have not had a major health incidents so cannot speak to that but I have full trust it would be handled professionally.

Upon the second visit she was just very dismissive of other health conditions and seemed like a completely different person. She even challenged my rare condition. She claimed to be knowledgeable about my condition, but upon that second visit she didn't seem familiar at all with said condition.

I don't belong to Kaizer, but witnessed all of this over the past two days as I assisted a friend who has been suffering severe pain after a Kaizer surgery. 1. As of yesterday there was more than a two-month delay before she could schedule an appointment with a gastroenterologist. 2. Filling a prescription yesterday afternoon the pharmacist told her to call the phone number on the receipt for instruction in use of an inhaler because he didn't have time to provide her with adequate instruction. Kaizer had just reduced his staff by 25%. 3. At the Beaverton hospital, she could not be admitted because all rooms are full. She'll be kept in Emergency Room facilities until she can be released to a residential care option. However, working with this higher acknowledgement of her pain, her wait for a gastroenterologist visit is now down to a week. I don't see how this could be worse.

After years with Kaiser Permanente, we switched to Providence for primary care when our health plan changed. We've been surprised at the general lack of efficiency (e.g., medical records, on-line communication, referrals, wait lines at the lab), and feel that we're getting fair care for simple issues, and not very good care for complex problems. Recently, it took 2 months to complete a referral because staff repeatedly did not correctly forward the required referral information. We've tried two practitioners at PMG with not great results and plan to move OHSU about which we hear consistently good reviews.
