Ice And Roof Snow Removal reviews in Pittsburgh

I called on a Friday morning expecting them to say that they would come out sometime the next week when it would be safer and snow might have melted off the roof. Instead, a worker arrived in just over an hour. He shoveled an area outside to place a ladder, then climbed to the roof, shoveled off snow, found where a large ice dam had formed, and then spent about four hours hammering and chipping away at it. The owner showed up during the project to make sure it was going well, and then also called in the evening to be certain the problem was solved. Despite being an emergency call, the final bill was far, far less than I had expected.

would benefit from a more experienced staffer checking up on their work at the end of the day or the next day. This did not cause huge problems for us, but we did notice a difference in some of the quality of the work done by the junior staffers.
MIlberg is not cheap, but after being a homeowner for awhile and using contractors up and down the price scale, we've found that the cliche is true - you get what you pay for. We prefer to pay more to get the experience and skill that, in Milberg's case, money can buy. (If you don't do that you will end up paying for it to be redone anyway.) Also, we found that Joel would offer suggestions for less expensive ways to approach certain things so that we could make financial choices. He was also able to find deals on materials for us in some cases.
When project costs extended beyond the costs estimated, this was due either to change-orders we made as the projects progressed, or to issues that arose that could not be anticipated, which is, unfortunately, part of renovating a nearly century-old home that has not been well-cared-for in the past and has hidden quirks.
I wish I could use MIlberg again. Unfortunately, we have moved out of the area and now have to find someone else that can live up to the expectations Milberg has established. We had some work done on our new home that made us miss Milberg terribly!!! Please open a branch in Eastern PA!!!

We had a leak in our roof and could not determine where the leak was located.  Fran Bott, the owner, came out and analyzed the roof problem - we had an older flat roof that had several cracks.  He provided 2 estimates for 2 types of applications, we decided to replace it with a rubber roof with a 20 year warranty.  Mr. Bott scheduled the crew (including his son) and oversaw the work.  Through my work, I have some experience with rubber roof applications.  Bott Roofing performed excellent work with great attention to detail on the flashing, and vents.  They tied it into the existing shingle roof very well with little chance of a similar leak occuring in the future.  Mr. Bott followed up with several calls to ensure the leak was addressed and to ensure we were happy with the final product.  We used his team later in the summer to repair our roof ridge vents (on another part of the house).  After the heavy snow in early January, we had his team come out to clear snow and to address roof ice.  This is a great firm with a hands-on owner who really cares about the work his teams perform.  When it comes to roofers, lots of guys claim to be experienced and claim to be good at doing the work, but when you need for them to follow up, you can't find them.  Bott Roofing is not a "fly by night" firm with minimal experience.  Mr. Bott is a no-nonsense roofer who cares more deeply about his reputation than about making a quick dollar.

Came back from Christmas vacation to find the driveway and walkway pcaked with snow (and ice in some spots).
I called Rich after seeing his ad on Craigs list for snow removal service, he asked for a descrption of the property and quoted me $50 to do the job.
He showed up the next day at the promised time and cleaned the snow from the driveway and the walkway. He had to use an extra bag of salt because of the ice buildup from me have driven over the snow. Rich didn't charge me extra though it took extra time and salt to do the job.
I am very happy with the professionalism, price and punctuallity - I've asked Rich to come and take care of snow removal on a regular basis from now on.

It was great. Because we used them for the remodel and because we used them to find out floors, which turned out beautifully, that horrible winter we had some ice built up in our gutters and they helped us; water started to leak through our windows. They called someone who was out to our house within a half hour. They got up on the ladder and broke the ice; there was no damage to the house because they came so fast. We see them as our contractors from now on.

Meredith Home Improvement is an excellent company to deal with. The entire job went smoothly beginning with the quote request all the way through installation.  Ty was extremely responsive to all my questions during the quote phase via both email and phone.  The install was only 3 weeks after I accepted the quote and only took 1 full day and 2 hours the following morning for completion of 3 roofs.  The installers are very professional and polite.  The clean up of the roof and yard was incredible.  I have a dog and do not need to worry about him stepping on debris or nails!! I would definitely use Meredith Home Improvement in the future and will recommend them to friends and family.  It's nice to deal with a reputable company and not have to worry about being taken advantage of.

NIKO is a commercial roofing contractor operating on a national scale.  It is a small company that specializes in custom work and historic restoration.  Occasionally, they do residential work.

They are extremely professional and will provide service beyond the scope of most residential contractors, but they are expensive.

They were punctual. They did a good job. They charged me exactly what they said they were going to charge me. I had no problem. Once they did that, I had no leak in my family room. My family room was leaking because of the ice. The workers that came out were good and there were no problems at all. I actually recommended them to others. I would use their services again if needed in the future.

They came out promptly and took care of things. They worked with us very well and we were very pleased with their response. They also added some heating cables. They are expensive, but they do give you value for your money.

The ice build up on roof and guttes that I had water coming in through two light fixtures. It was Sunday and I hoped that I could at least get help on Mon. or Tues. before the next storm. I called Hindmarch Home Inprovememts and left a message. Less than two hours later, John Hindmarch called. He was at another job but would come by after he finished the job he was working. He called again to let me know that he was on his way to my house. He arrived and he and his brother, Jeff, walked all around the house. Got out a ladder and went up to look at the problem. John told me exactley what I knew. I had a BIG ice problem! John explained what should be done and how. The price he gave me was more than fair. They began the work. The roof ice was so thick, it slid off the roof in sheets! They put up ice melt and soon water was running off the roof and the water stopped dripping in my kitchen. Next they began work on the gutters. the ice was at least four inches above the gutters. It took almost five hours for them to chip out the gutter ice using ice melt and tools. Then they shoveled all the ice away from the house so it would not melt into the foundation. When the work was finished, John said that he would stop by the house the next day and check the roof. I was/am very pleased work the work done. I will call the company again for service. They did an excellent job.
