  • The treatments are definitely helping.  This is a major thing for diabetics.  He doesn't cut my nails too short either.  I like his staff and everything is going very well.
  • Initially, Dr. Provider name locked. seemed professional, taking an x-Provider name locked. to determine whether or not there was bone involvement...although it was fairly apparent it was a garden-variety cyst (was she looking for more billings?) After looking at the x-Provider name locked. she determined it was a cyst and needed to be aspirated. She proceeded to prep my toe for the needle aspiration by first spraying it with cold spray and next injecting the toe with novocaine. (I thought this was pretty extreme prep for a mere needle stick; I have had a breast biopsy w/o novocaine!!) And this is where the problem started. After an incredible amount of cold spraying, follwed by the novocaine injection, my toe immediately swelled to 2x its size and turned white. She left the room waiting for numbness to ensue so she could continue her procedure. I questioned the nurse/assistant why my toe has reacted so weirdly and alarmingly, and she assured me it was just "getting numb." I have had novocaine, other local anesthetics, and even general anesthesia in the past with no negative effects. When Dr. Provider name locked. returned to the room, she thought nothing odd about my toe, aspirated the cyst (she did send it for a culture, but I never heard of the results.) She put a bandaid on it and said to cover it with a bandaid and neosporin and it will be fine in a couple of days. I returned 2 weeks later, with an obvious wound that was not healing well, and she prescribed antibiotic for 10-days and told me not to get the wound wet (bad needed to be cleaned daily). After 10-days it was still hurting and not healing, and I called for an Rx refill, which she authorized for 1 week. After 10 more days, returning to the office I was instructed to let the wound dry out! I knew this was incorrect wound-healing treatment and subsequently went to the St. Provider name locked. Wound Healing Center. (On my first visit to the wond center I was advised that I may be faced with losing my toe!!) I can't provide every detail here, but essentially what she did was she froze the tissue on my toe with the cold spray, essentially creating frostbite and leaving me with necrotic tissue that took 14+ weeks to heal and numerous trips to the Wound Healing Center and more billings to my insurance carrier! It will still be several more months until I can put my foot into a dress shoe! I have no underlying health circulatory issues, diabetes, etc., am not a smoker or drinker and am not aged. This was to be a beautification effort to be ready for sandal weather, and it turned out to be a major, major ordeal because of misuse of tools of the trade.

  • Dr. Provider name locked. and her staff are very thorough in her examination and treatment of foot problems. Her bedside manner and her expertise are the best in the business. Her staff is understanding and compassionate. From the very beginning of my treatment for toenail fungus and the eventual removal of my toenail was painless and prompt. I was very apprehensive about having this procedure done and was so relieved when it was over. The entire procedure completely painless. My praises for Provider name locked. and her staff are of the highest caliber.
