Dog Grooming reviews in Pittsburgh

We were dissatisfied with our experiences with various groomers in the Pittsburgh area - then we discovered Claws and Paws! Marcelo grooms our standard schnauzer to look like her show dog parents! We have always been pleased with his work, his kind treatment of Maggie, and the conditions of his shop. Maggie loves him! Marcelo exemplifies a professional groomer who knows how to please his customers. We highly recommend him.

It went wonderful. Kim called before she was arriving. It is so nice not having my dog upset leaving to get her hair cut. I have already set up a schedule with them to have her groomed on a regular basis. It cost more than other grooming places but it was worth it not having my dog upset.i would highly recommend them.

Sandy was fantastic! She took time to meet with me and my cat before she started her work. It took approximately 2 1/2 hours, but that was because there were many matted areas on our cat. I could tell she was very passionate about her work and I was impressed that she has a certification from the National Cat Groomers Institute of America. When I came back to pick up our cat, she explained everything that she did, and also is a first time customer gave me a comb and a brush, and went over how I should care for a long-haired cat to avoid matting in the future. I would highly recommend Sandy!

We don't go all that often. I sorry I can't remember the cost. They're an A down the line. They have a good cost, they care, and they do a good job with them. We've used them several times, we just don't go often.

We take all of our pets here. We have been going to them for many years. They really take care of us. I will always use them again. The vet treats them like their own. They have always been very nice to us and very honest to us. They treats our pets with respect, even we have had to have a couple of pets put to sleep they have always treated us well. I stayed there with her during the procedure. The facility is a great first impression, they kind of know us, some of the girls whenever we come in and they notice us.

This is our second monthly appointment and we are totally satisfied! Mike and his wife, the proprietors, have created a wonderfully warm, cozy, calm, and efficient operation, which both of my dogs seem to enjoy. The cuts are marvelous, and they really do cater to the needs of the dogs and the desires of their owners. We are taking their advice in getting their nails trimmed every two weeks instead of once every five weeks, to avoid any problems (scratches to daddy) and to keep them comfortable. They both smell and look great! Their employees are really kind, seemed to like our pets, understand their quirks, and handle them well. It only took approximately two hours for the two dogs, as opposed to five hours we had to endure "crating them" at a local chain pet store (which was both more expensive and less consistent in the haircuts!). Woof, woof... oh that's just Gracie and Brewster thanking the awesome groomers at Precious Paws! Looking forward to our next visit...

It was 75 bucks to do everything with the dog. The only thing I don't like is that they use to be in a place with a real big parking lot and they have a real tiny one now it's about 15 feet and it's near a real busy highway.

They are excellent. They are very reasonable. The dogs like to go there. They are cheaper than most groomers. The dog is small, it's a Yorkie. He really likes them, he's a bit nervous and they are good with him. Quality is great. If they are busy they call you back, very hard workers and responsible. My pet is happy to go there. These people started up on a shoestring and have consistently improved with time. I really like them very much.

Today was the 3rd time I have had my dog groomed there and it is as good a place as other groomers in the east end of Pittsburgh and a lot less money. What it is not is a fancy place in a very upscale Shadyside or Point Breeze location. Romeo is always happy to go there and judging from his body language when I drop him off and pick him up he must be well treated. The people that run the place and the people that work there are lovely. I have been very pleased and I gave them all A's and one B.

My review is from years ago but was doing an excellent rating for my current groomer and saw this group listed. It brought back all my horrible feeling seeing their name. I used to bring my little dog all the time to this groomer. However, after years of bringing my dog there, when he got old he got tumors. I advise the Pet Salon of his tumors but it must not have been communicated to the actual groomer. She call me and refused to groom my pet. She acted like she thought we had abused him. When I explained, she still did not want to groom him. When I told the manager, he did apologize but tried to make excuses for her. I never went back and never will. They were heartless!!
