Pet Cremating reviews in Pittsburgh

Phillip deserves beyond an A+ rating. When we lost our beloved cat, we took him to Oak Crest on the recommendation of a family member. The service we received was exceptionally professional and genuine. It was important to us that our pet be cremated on his own rather than in a group and that's exactly what we got. Phillip treated our pet with dignity and respect, no differently than a human would be treated and this meant so much to us. We received genuine sympathy and accommodating service. While ideally we would like to never need these services again, when the time ultimately comes we will be returning to Oak Crest without hesitation. I cannot say enough good things about Phillip, this is a great organization!

They were incredibly professional, caring and lovely through the whole thing. The dog that they worked on the previous year has been there multiple times since he has to have continued blood work because he almost died. The last time we were there they were very supportive. It is a hard thing to have to go and do and they were very good about it. The price includes cremation and whatnot.

ETERNITY PET IS JUST INCREDIBLE.  COMPASSIONATE CARING PEOPLE WHO KNOW THESE LITTLE ONES ARE A PART OF OUR FAMILY.  THEY ARE OUR FUR-CHILDREN.  EVERYTHING WAS HANDLED WITH KID GLOVE CARE.  THEIR ATTENTION TO DETAIL IS INDESCRIBABLE.  THEIR KIND WORDS HELPED IMMENSELY.  I JUST CANT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THE PEOPLE AT ETERNITY PET.  IM VERY IMPRESSED AND I DONT IMPRESS EASILY!!!!!!!

Our female cockatiel, Pumpkin, was with us for 14 years and was a large part of our family. When she died last Thursday, my wife and I were totally grief stricken.  We wanted to have her remains cremated so we could keep her with us. Last Friday, we took Pumpkin to Hunter Funeral Home and met with Mr. William Hunter. He treated us with dignity and Pumpkin's remains with respect.
Mr. Hunter brought Pumpkin home to us yesterday, three days after we had left her in his care. Our home is thirteen miles from Mr. Hunter's funeral home.
Pumpkin's ashes are in the beautiful cherry wood urn that Mr. Hunter provided. It rests on our mantel.  We are at peace thanks to Hunter Funeral Home.

A lot of my animals were older. I would take them there to get checked by a vet and if necessary euthanized. They are very nice people. I used to call and order my dogs food when he was on a special diet for his kidneys. They are very nice people. There were no problems. I have used their emergency hours during the night when a problem cropped up and in the day for regular checkups. They are not the specialists but they are very good general veterinarians. I've liked them. I've called them for advice and they are very nice and helped me.

She was very professional and eased the pain of a horrific euthanization (see my review of VET TO PET). Deb had my dogs ashes ready in 2 weeks as promised and handled the entire process in a professional and respectful manner. I had used her services years ago as well.

Had to put my dog down on August 15th.  Mr. Hunter picked her up from the vet's office that evening.  He had her cremated and delivered her to me the following week.  The service provided was impeccable.  And being that it was a horrible time for me, losing my beloved dog of 14 years, it was comforting to know that I didn't have to worry.  I knew a couple days ahead of time that she was goiing to have to be put down and immediately called Mr. Hunter.  He was recommended by our veternarian.  The phone was picked up immediately and the arrangements were made right then.  It was a great worry lifted.  And let me focus 100% on my last days with my dog.

Exceptionally well. Mr Hunter was immediately available, explained the process, and options thoroughly. Delivered remains personally and so professionally. Took care to assist in the selection of an appropriate urn, I would recommend highly.

We called and left a message late at night with no pre-arrangement, and our call was returned early next morning. Arrived for transporting as agreed. Explained all services, options, and prices. You can add or subtract options as you desire, with no pressure. Arrangements completed as agreed, with grace, during a sad time for our family, and we appreciated it very much.
Excellent small, local business meeting a sad but important need. The owner was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and respectful. A kind woman. Delivered a personalized service and experience.
Would recommend in a heartbeat to anyone seeking these services.
    Thank you.

Bill Hunter was extremely kind and sympathetic when picking up Panda and was very gentle with her.  He brought her back to us a few days later, and again was so very professional and kind.  We were very happy with everything he did.
