    Manning Chiropractic and Wellness Center
I was hesitant to employ the services of a chiropractor for some time, but I am very pleased with my choice of Manning Chiro. Treatment is ongoing and provides relief through both spinal adjustments and soft-tissue therapy. Dr. Manning explains the process and techniques clearly and ensures your comfort through each step. The entire staff is friendly and accomodating, and the message therapist (Nicole) rocks, both literally and figuratively. Highly recommended, for two and four legged patients alike.

    Therapeutic Massage by Mary Ann
I have been seeing her regularly since June and have felt so much relief I have already purchased several gift certificates for loved ones. She will travel.with her table and has also recommended a natural spray that is helping my pain and doubles as a nasal decongestant. I can' t say enough about how happy I am to have found her! I.have even considered appraching my employer to have come for a holiday wellness chair.massage treat. If you need relief call her ...she will find the spot that time forgot!

    Smith, Jack
I met Jack Smith over 9 years ago when I had a herniated disc and two pinch nerves in my back. There have been many episodes since then when I have had to call on Jack Smith for help. Each time he has had the "healing touch" and the "magic hands". He is always professional, has a strong sense of care and committment to each client's unique set of issues. The massage is designed for each individual- not a set proceedure. He exhibits knowledge about the body parts and their relationship with the abiltiy to communicate that easily. He is prompt, resourceful, open to new techniques, strives to learn and apply the new learning, and mentors new massage therapist. He stays current on the work with magazines, meetings, collegues, and others sources. He often relays information about alternative or traditional products, uses aroma therapy, sets the enviornment for healing and relaxation, uses a gentle voice and promotes a feeling of comfort and ease for me and I believe each client. He always, always helps me to feel some relief in pain even in the height of discomfort. At work, about 3 years ago we had a special "chair massage and learn day". Several people who never tried massage did and subsqently went to received treatment with Jack. As you can tell I recommend him highly for his experience and quality work. I feel that he is gifted as a true "physican "in the healing sense and want to share that expertise with everyone, so others can benefit as well. Yes, it cost money but so do medications, doctor visits, and pills. There is an added benefit with Jack Smith. You get treatment for the whole body - not only the area or region which hurts .I know that he works in many dimensions of massage. He does work at the Ronald McDonald House Hospice, indiviudal therapy, sports figures, couples, and just the everyday person. Jack Smith has a wholistic approach to massage for relaxation, pain, and prevention. He is a massage therpist with wide range of experience, exceptional talent, care, and skill.!

    Smith, Jack
I met Jack at Allegheny General Hospital approximately 8 years ago, and I had my first treatment session. I was extremely satisfied with the treatment, received excellent results, and I have been working with Jack on a regular basis ever since.

    The Center for Pain Treatment
Highly recommended! Gentle, noninvasive, and highly effective. I came in the first time barely able to stand up and they really helped me. Work is performed on a massage table, one is clothed, and the main emphasis is on finding and releasing trigger points in the myofascia. It is not like traditional chiropractic, although there is a chiropractor available. Treatment takes about an hour, and the effects, so far, last for me at least a week.

Upmc Pain Evaluation & Treatment Institute
I was treated with contempt as a drug-seeking patient (I am not). The first words out of Dr. Bernstein's mouth was "I don't prescribe." (The resident was fine, gentle and respectful.) I went through a lengthy evaluation --several visits. Although I called the clinic repeatedly, it took several weeks to learn that I was not admitted to the pain management program. I was informed in a one paragraph letter telling me I could have PT with an intern, no specified reason, duration, or taking into account my medical history. I called several times to find out how the decision was reached and to get my evaluation. So far, 2.5 months on, I have not received it. I could not get past a receptionist. This was a humiliating waste of time, and Dr. Bernstein in particular was worse than dismissive. The other professionals were fine, once I got to them, as far as I know, but because results were never communicated to me I am in the dark and my pain is much worse. I took my business elsewhere.

    The Center for Pain Treatment
Richard is the type of person designed to be in health care. He's caring and attentive. A friend recommended him after my long time chiropractor stopped being effective on my maternity hip problems. Richard doesn't "crack" you like a standard chiropractor. He gently pushes and prods. I don't know exactly how it works, I just know that I got relief from my pain when the old doctor failed. Richard also gave me exercises to help me throughout the remainder of my pregnancy. I've seen him subsequently for other issues and I appreciate the fact that he doesn't need me to keep coming back time after time after time. He's very interested in helping me to help myself with exercises and even fixed up my shoes to keep me "even" to avoid the hip trouble I was having.
