Joe was very easy to work with, and helped us to mange buying our first house from a family member. He walked us through the entire process and helped to coordinate everything that we had to do - from the original meeting discussing our needs to the home inspection to the final paperwork necessary.

We closed on time and he gave me an accurate estimate of the amount of money I would need to bring to the closing. Other loan officers low balled the number which would not have been helpful the day of closing.

The process was simple and stress free. After agreeing to terms on the initial mortgage, the individual handling my mortgage actually called back several times over the next few days with ways he could get me a better rate. This showed me that they are really looking out for your best interests.

I have to say that I am throughly impressed with the level of service and professionalism I received from Evan. I am a single mother of 1, I started the mortgage process about 9 months ago with my local bank I jumped through hoops to get the information that was required from me, two days before my closing date my loan was denied. I was mortified, through the advise of my realtor I contacted American financial. They where amazing!!! I was able to close on my home in under 30 days! They where efficient, thorough, informative and professional. They treated me with respect and were 100% honest with me through theentire process ( much different then my local back who kept me in the dark and didn't return a phone call) I have since recommended American Financial to my friends and family and will continue to do so. American Financial is a company who puts their core values into everything that they do and ensures that their clients are put first. I am proud to be a client of Evan's and will be a dedicated customer and advocate for life. Truely a great company and a wonderful experience!

The application process was all done online. It was easy to accomplish and upload documents they would like to collect. They act fairly timely. The fund disbursed timely. Email communication was easy as well. From the beginning to the end, I probably only spoke over the phone with people only 4 times - once to the appraiser, twice to the loan processor, and once to the notary who handled the closing.

Second refinance with this company.  They are extremely professional, responsive and do their best to expedite the process and make it as painless as possible..  All staff that I was in contact with (whether by phone, text, or email) were exceptionally helpful and patient with all concerns and queries.

Every aspect of dealing with this company was excellent. They kept me aware of what was happening every step of the way and provided the product I wanted at a great rate. When my realtor suddenly became nearly impossible to reach, Greg exceeded my expectations in taking care of things my realtor really should have been doing. I can't think of a single thing he could've done better. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We found Mark Milburn through Angies list, due to his already great reviews, and had a really great experience!
Since it was our first home, we met with Mark when we first started looking at houses to talk about an amount for pre-approval. Mark didn't push us to spend more than we were comfortable with just based on our debt to income ratio. He really listened to us as we described our financial situation, and spent over an hour explaining the process to us.
We loved Mark, but couldn't over-look shopping for rates when it came time to finance our home purchase. However, in talking to several banks and brokers Mark came back with the most competitive rate, in the most timely fashion.
Mark has been such an asset throughout our closing process. He is exceedingly helpful, friendly, organized, and timely. We were always able to reach him with questions, and he always took the time to make sure we understood his answer.
Buying a house can be really stressful, but it helps a lot to have a great team working with you. I would recommend Mark Milburn, hands-down, to anyone looking for a home loan!

Exit Mortgage pre-approved the home buyer for an FHA loan. We entered into a sales contract, on March 27, 2015--for a closing on May 26, 2015-when the buyer's apartment lease is up. In the meantime, we did our due diligence. The buyer paid for an appraisal and home inspection and I, the seller, made all the necessary updates/changes/repairs to make the home FHA loan compliant, about $3K out of pocket. The changes/repairs were approved, but the closing company wasn't giving us a firm closing date...they kept saying, it'll be around when we said, May 26. I prepared to leave my home and on May 17, I spent another $500 to move all my belongings out of my home and put them into a storage locker ($170/month)...thinking that was much cheaper than store my stuff there than to pay a $450 mortgage--which I wouldn't be doing anymore after May 26. May 19, my realtor calls me and tells me the sale is most likely going to fall through because the buyer can't get a loan. This was confusing because she was already pre-approved for a loan. Apparently, Exit Mortgage didn't look into her student loan debts that were coming out of deferment. Which should've been the first thing that came up on a simple credit check.  I've wasted thousands of dollars because Exit Mortgage Llc completely and utterly failed to do their due diligence...the very specialty work they were hired to do. Absolutely incompetent.

Joe Pappas kindly helped walk us through the entire home buying process and helped to facilitate the sale between my family member and my wife and I. He was extremely nice, and extremely helpful. He was able to explain the entire situation, including helping us work on the sales price. He was a joy to work with, and we would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to purchase a home.
