  • On the first day, Mr. Provider name locked. and his wife arrived early and spent roughly 5 hours sanding the interior wooden frames around 7 of the windows in my home using a combination of hand sanding and an electrical sander.  This creates a lot of dust, obviously, but I was prepared in advance by covering all my furniture with plastic drop cloths.  I also would suggest sealing off each individual room to limit the amount of dust - you will have to wipe down the walls.  This is expected and did not mind. He and his wife are pleasant cheerful folks - very nice, no complaints there.  I was disappointed after they left when I went to clean my windows when I noticed numerous minor scratches on a number of windows due to the electric sander.  While most were minor they were noticeable to me. There was one window with a scratch on the glass the entire vertical length of the window - this scratch was more noticeable.
The second day they arrived on time began vacuuming the dust from the wood then staining the wood. Mr Provider name locked. applied the stain I originally selected. He asked me to look at the first window he did as he was not happy with the color of the stain.  I agreed and he proceeded to the nearest Home Depot to pick up a lighter stain. Upon his return we realized this lighter stain was much better. Neither of us mentioned any of the tiny scratches on the first windows.  I wanted to wait until he was done to mention them but when he was on the last and seventh (7th) window with the more noticeable scratch he said nothing so I interrupted his painting to point out the problem.  While he apologized I still wonder if he would have said anything to me.  At first he was a little vague on a solution.  I explained the glass was free of any imperfections prior to his arrival that weekend and now it was damaged.
I did write him a check for $500 that day for the work he did do.  That was fair.  He said he wanted to come back to see how the stain looked once it dried - I said he and I would resolve the damaged glass issue at that time but instead I offered to pay him an additional $50 for a total of $550 instead of the original $700 quoted price.  I put the two coats of polyurethane on myself
I am pleased with how the wood looks now - as it was severely dried out and water damaged before he got started.   If you hire him, he will be on time and will be a hard worker - but you must watch his work. - I suggest taking detailed before and after photos just in case there is a problem.

  • Despite the fact that no actual services were purchased, I appreciated that Provider name locked. was professional and patient throughout the whole job assessment and estimate process.

  • Provider name locked. arrived by 9AM each of the three days and worked continuously the entire workday.  He is a quick, efficient, and thorough worker.  He answered all of my questions as he worked.  Any additional problems were pointed out and choices were presented to me.  The dining room looked super when he finished the wallpaper removal and painting.  The upstairs hall was another tough job, but ended up looking as if nothing was ever wrong with it.  The kitchen's ceiling patch is perfect.  I was very pleased with every job that he did for me and will not hesitate to call him again.
