  • They arrived promptly, did their work and cleaned up after they were done. They also provided the brick to fill the openings. The work was very professionall done.  Getting in touch was more difficult, I suspect, because this is a small business, one or two man, and the owner does not return phone calls as fast as most people would like. Once we connected, all went smoothly.

  • This was to be a multi-phased job, starting with pointing at ground level, than moving to the chimney inspections, possible repair if required and attenton to restoring flue mechanisms.
The quality of the work is excellent, the new mortar perfectly matched the old.  I was surprised, however, at the small amount of linear feet of work was completed - but I was not on-site to understand
how much old mortar needed to be removed, before the new mortar could be applied - hence my opinion is less than objective.
In view of the quality, and apparent knowledge demonstrated by the owner, I attempted to contract for additional work - at least two calls went unanswered.  The contractor was clear about my work being fill-in, as he was working on full-house pointing projects - and I accommodated his delay on the first phase, and expressed a willingness to work with Provider name locked. on subsequent phases.  Work was paid in a timely manner - I have no explanation for the disappearance following the initial work.

  • An inspector required a liner be installed in a chimney in order to vent a gas boiler properly (this according to some recent building code changes is supposed to prevent mortar deterioration when a newer furnace is installed and no longer vented in the same stack).  Provider name locked. came out, inspected the chimney to confirm it was a reasonable procedure, and then forwarded pricing for stainless steel as well as a less expensive liner option.  I went with the stainless, he showed up on time and banged it out in a few hours.  I've dealt with lots of contractors and Provider name locked. is just up there.  Solid dude, reasonable pricing, reliable, clearly knows what he's doing in a pretty niche industry.
