Clock Repair reviews in Pittsburgh

  • With much trepidation, I took the tabletop clock to Paul. He fixed it at a very reasonable price, based on my past experiences with clocks. Plus there is a year guarantee on the repair, which is a great and unexpected bonus! I did not meet Paul but his wife Judy was very nice and she make a house call to check out the grandfather's clock. She also brought back the tabletop clock, which was great so that I didn't have to worry that I would drop it. Home visit went well. My two companion clocks are working well! In terms of location of repair, then, I checked off service provider's location, because there is no option to say the work was done both at that location and at my home.
  • Paul's Clock Repair is the best when it comes to clock repair. My wall clock would not run more than 0ne week at a time and was constantly stopping. After his repair the clock returned to full 31 day operation and it is keeping excellent time. I live in the North Hills of Pittsburgh and traveled to the South Hills to use this vendor. It was really worth the trip. The work was done on time at the price quoted. I'm absolutely delighted with the service.

  • Called Paul's Clock Repair and they were able to perform normal maintenance and adjustments to get the clock working and and the chimes chiming again. Everything about dealing with Paul's Clock Repair was professional. They were timely and also shared some tips for properly resetting the clock if necessary.

  • Paul  and his wife seemed knowledgeable. They were here 1/2 hour. I wish they had noticed that the grandmother clock was running slowly before they left. $250 seemed hefty to me but I am not up on clock repair costs. This included the $35 off  big deal I had purchased for $25. They also took a Seth Thomas mantel clock back to their shop for repair.

  • As stated above, the problem was quickly diagnosed and the repair was done in a timely fashion. Very friendly. Would not hesitate to use again. What was great was that we were able to purchase a discounted coupon to go towards the cost of repair. We also found out that this clock was much older than we thought. The clock runs great now and has not stopped!

  • They called the day the day before to confirm the appointment and also called on their way to our home to say they would be arriving earlier than planned. They inspected the clock and were able to fix it in our home. Paul educated us about our clock when he was finished. We were very pleased with their service and are happy to have our clock working again.

  • I had had Judy come in 2002 to tune up the clock at an earlier address and was glad to find they were still in business.  (Judy is Paul's wife.)  Judy picked up the phone the first time I called and made an appointment for a house call the following week.  She phoned the day before to reconfirm, then in the morning of the visit to tell me she would be early.  In addition to getting the clock going again, she gave me helpful advice about having the cabinet re-finished.

  • Judy was always prompt.  Calls returned on a timely basis--very professional.  I was very happy to have my clocks working again.  Judy came to the house and was able to repair one on the clocks here.  The other large clock had to be removed.   It was repaired quickly and returned to my home.   I was very happy with the service I was provided and the quality of the workmanship.  I would highly recommend Paul's Clocks if you are in need of a clock repair.

  • It went fine. He was very friendly. The service was timely, they were in and out. They were a little pricey. They say they give free estimates, but he said the free estimates are only over the phone. They charge $200 for a house call.

  • Paul's Clock Repair is the perfect Angie's List find -- the kind of service people one hopes to find on here! Small, trustworthy, reasonably priced, quick turnaround time, fast responses, professional. I ended up purchasing another grandfather clock from them, that was hanging on their walls from the turn of the century. Family owned and operated.
