    These guys were great! Came to my place, packed up all my things. Stored them for the 2 months it took us to find a new place, and then delivered and setup everything. Would definitely use them again in the future!

    Good at first, then terrible. The estimator and packing crew were fine; then our move was, in our opinion, mishandled on several levels that caused us time, money, and much aggravation. Among other things, the company mixed up our two shipments, though they had been separated and noted by the estimator and then by the movers at pick up. This resulted in additional costs to us that could have been avoided because the two lots were not separately weighed and thus weights were almost certainly over estimated. After delivery, the staff did not always return emails or phone calls. The damage claim, although paid in full with no argument, was delayed several weeks after the promised date.

    The movers were friendly and prompt. My only issue is that some of the furniture that was wrapped in plastic should probably have been padded a little better. There was some minor damage, but nothing too serious.

    First time we showed up with movers and couldn't get in the unit.  Called and no one called back after we left at least 10 messages in a mater of 2 days.  Cost us over $400.00 for movers we didn't use and a rental truck. 

    Second time when they knew we where moving and

    would no longer need storage which was this past weekend.  Our monthly fee was prorated and they locked us out because they wanted the full months rent even though we would have been out mid month.  We are currently locked out and again showed up with movers and truck with no access to the units. 

    Again no one called us back or answered the calls.

    We have been paying for our storage with New River for over 3 years and get treated like this.   If they do not have our unit unlocked by the end of today and we have proof the units (2) @ 135.00 with a $27.00 late fee past the 5th which has been paid prior to this weekend our only option would bring the proof of payment and have the police there to make them unlock our units.

    I even called Friday to make sure everything was fine and no locks on units because of the previous lock out when they knew we were moving the last time.  I guess they are forcing us to stay with them and pay instead of letting us have access to our belongs.  

    Calling them today so this can be rectified but not confident if we show up again with movers and truck the units will be unlocked.

    Simply Moving
    This was the first non-corporate move I made in over 10 years, so I had to secure all of the vendors myself (vs my company's relocation services).  After considerable amount of research, I hired Simply Moving, largely because they had such good reviews.  After my experience during the move from my storage unit in New Jersey to my new home in Arizona, which went very smoothly, I hired them to pack and move my household goods from my condo.  Both experiences were extremely positive.  They were timely, always stayed in touch with me to give me an update on arrival times, and did an excellent job caring for all of my belongings.  

    My only recommendation for anyone looking to use them is to ensure you have someone come to your home to provide you with an accurate cost proposal.  I did this, at the recommendation of Simply Moving, and I'm glad I did.  Carlos came to my home and prepared the estimate in front of me.  We scheduled the packing and loading dates and times, there and then, and I didn't pay a penny extra than what I was quoted.  The team that packed in loaded, in NJ, led by Walter were excellent as were the delivery crew, led by Yuval.  (Make sure you have enough cash on-hand for tips!)  At the end of each experience, the crew lead ensured I spoke with his boss at the main office and, each time, I was asked about the experience and if there was anything more they could do.  With no hesitation do I highly recommend Simply moving for any type of move, small or large, local of cross-country.  Thank you.

    Soft Touch Movers LLC
    This debacle apparently originated with my call to their office, after I purchased the Angies List deal. I booked the move, and they observed that I had used them to move in 2014. They did not ask, however, if this would be the same move, and they didn't ask me how many rooms, how much furniture, or anything like that, and apparently they told the crew that we would only require 3 hours. (In 2014 they assisted us with a move in which we had already packed our belongings in PODS.)
    When the crew arrived, it was clear that we had two full truckloads, which they were apparently not emotionally or nutritionally expecting. The attitudes declined throughout the day.
    We were moving a 1950 sq ft house full of furniture and belongings. We had a home office with a lot of files in it (i.e. 40 boxes of files) but if you visited our house before we started packing, you would have found the place spacious and well-kept. I mention this because the crew made frequent complaints about how much stuff we had. Our housekeeper was present throughout the move, and one of the crew members said to her, in Spanish, "You need to tell your boss that he has too much stuff."
    The 3-man crew was ridiculously slow in their work, yet not careful. It took them 4 hours to load the 27-foot truck the first time, and almost the same to unload across town. The second load took nearly as long. (We also had them take a couple appliances from the new house to Goodwill, on their way back for the second load, and they took almost an hour to accomplish that task. At the end of the day, we had paid for a total of FIFTEEN HOURS to load the truck twice and move a 1950 sq ft house.
    What's worse were the results. We did not have any breakage, but we had marked our boxes carefully, and during the second load the crew seemed to just stop trying to put boxes in the right rooms. This caused us tremendous work and inconvenience in the days that followed.
    We had given a good review to this same company in 2014, which made this experience even more disappointing.

    Soft Touch Movers LLC
    They called about a half hour prior to their arrival to let us know they were on their way. Very prompt, courteous and professional. Scott and his crew got right to work and wrapped all my beautiful furniture with blankets and stretch wrap to protect it. They were very careful not to damage anything and even laid a runner at the front door and taped blankets on the sides of the door frame to avoid bumps and such. Super professional. I've moved many times, including a number of corporate moves with the large national moving companies and these guys were every bit as professional and conscientious, if not more so than other companies I have used in the past. I will be using them again to move me from storage to my new home in a few months. Thank you Scott & team!

    Move Smart Moving
    We got up front pricing, no surprises!  We had them scheduled them for 3 hours but went over and were billed in 15 minute increments.  No gas surcharge, no 3 steps surcharge!  It was amazing.  not only was pricing fair and straightforward, they guys that moved us were AMAZING!  They were punctual, professional and SUPER careful with our stuff!.  I have never used a moving company before and was very hesitant, not any more! I will use these guys every time!  I fully recommend them!

    Was very pleased with the professionalism and timeliness of this company. The move went incredibly smoothly. They wrapped my furniture with great care and gave me a great deal on the pads that I elected to keep. I will definitely use them again in the future should a need arise. The only reason I gave them a B on price as opposed to an A is that there was an additional charge based on my service area which I was not expecting. Had I called prior to purchasing their moving deal, I would have found this out ahead of time, so it's really my fault. Not a big deal and I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to friends and family - very satisfied.

    Everything turned out well. I thought they were very careful with our belongings and did what we asked. Nothing was broken. Everything turned out how I expected. The price was a little more than we expected but it was more involved than we anticipated. They didn't waste any time.
