AInitially, I called Todd to replace our reverse osmosis drinking water system. He gave us a range of choices and prices. We chose a Alkalizer system custom manufactured in Tempe. He installed it quickly and professionally. We are very pleased with this system thus far. He also replaced ten shut-off sink/toilet valves that were inoperable due to hard water deposits. We had a leak under the kitchen sink and found that it was the disposal. He replaced that which fixed the leak. In addition, we had water damage from a previous leak by our refrigerator. He opened the nearby damaged cabinet and adjacent wall to find water and mold inside. Todd handles water damage, mold removal and restoration. We had him remove the damaged wallboard and cabinet and treat the mold. It is an involved process which took about one week. The area was repaired to look as it had prior to the damage. He matched the texture on the wall, the paint color, grout and veneer/wood on the cabinet.- STEVEN S.

BAfter some difficulty, I was lucky enough to get an opportunity to have my service request managed by Chris Cathey. Chris was very, helpful, thoughtful, knowledgeable and thorough. He made me feel that I did, indeed, select the right home warranty organization, OneGuard. Additionally, Bryce Larson who manages the Authorization Dept, took the initiative to call me to be sure that I was well taken care of and a happy customer. OneGuard is lucky to have these two employees who are definitely concerned about their company's good reputation and that their customer is happy with the service provided. I chose Choice Home Warranty for the price and the friendly sales person who handled our enrollment. But I knew I made the right choice when I filed my first claim about a month after joining. The service agent, who was just as friendly as the sales person, processed my claim quickly and gave me the name and telephone number of the plumber who would be assigned to me. The plumbing company called me the same day and a plumber was dispatched the following day to check out the problem we were having with our garbage disposal. He was unable to repair it and, instead, replaced it on the spot with a new one, no questions asked. For me, Choice was certainly the right choice.

BRepairman was scheduled between 1 and 5 p.m.; I had to call just prior to 5 p.m. to verify that he was still going to show up. He did show up circa 5:30 p.m., reviewed and diagnosed the problem, and said he would not be able to fix the machine until the next day. The next day he again showed up at the latest possible moment, fixed the leaky valves but said the washing machine foot problem could not be replaced. (??) Repairman was pleasant, polite and appeared to be mechanically competent and efficient. Communications regarding time of appointment were inadequate.

AReceived very prompt scheduling of a technician to inspect and repair my dishwasher. Repair done quickly and efficiently - he tested the unit and was done in less than an hour. Very courteous and obviously highly skilled. Would call them again for any appliance issue I have.

FWe have a SubZero refrigerator that came with our house we purchased in 2010. The service wanted a $55 payment for the 'service call' so I provided my credit card number. The repairman missed the 8-11AM time but called to ask if they could come late. Here is where things went bad. After diagnosing the issue as a disconnected line (it must have vibrated loose) the sales pitch came in - "you know you need to clean your coil EVER TWO MONTHS." Well I do clean the coils with a high powered electric blower about ever 12 months. I declined the service and had to hang up the phone since I was at work. My wife said that he would do it for "free". He blew this stuff into our refrigerator condenser coil for "free" then charged us a $233 fee for the "service call."
Here is where I think this service was shady,
1) Pre charging a $55 for a service call
2) Completing the service by not just fixing the problem but trying to upsell
3) After not accepting 'no' for the upsell, doing it anyway for free then handing us a $233 bill for the service call
The service was not as described either. I never talked to a person named "Jamison Tobias". I was referred to a place called "Appliance repair".
To me there seems to be a bunch of SPAM listings on Angies list that are listed as "Sub Zero Repair XXXX", please do not schedule an appointment if they identify them as "appliance repair."

BThey were prompt, but the one of the problems that we had was he said that they were going to part on Saturday of 4th of July weekend and they couldn't get the part faster. I ended up waiting like two weeks to get the part to California, so it was like I was without a dish washer for two weeks which I really wasn't happy about. He was professional.- Rev Michael H.
