  • Excellent service provided. The owner, Roger Spohn, answered my call, scheduled the appointment, arrived on time, provided valuable advice, completed the requested services (which included a slightly different but better setup to enable me to use a single remote to operate my A/V system), and demonstrated how everything worked. After he was done with the requested service, he also "cleaned up" the wiring to make everything appear much cleaner and take up less space behind my console. When you call The Home Theater Doctor, you're going to get Roger; he's been in the business almost 40 years and his experience and wealth of knowledge was reflected in his work. Finally, he charged me what I believed to be a very reasonable fee for the work and service provided. Highly recommended.

  • It went excellent!  From the first meeting (took a little longer due to travel on my side for Thanksgiving holiday), he was very professional and made me feel comfortable.  I purchased Polk In-ceiling speakers (he suggested the square ones for better look and installation).  
    Scheduled for him to come before New Years so I'd have everything ready for a NYE party.  Took a little bit longer than expected, but well within the window he suggested (4-8 hours and he was right at the 8 hour mark).  The wiring both behind the TV, as well as behind the receive and other equipment was cleaned up by him.  Additionally he drilled a spot of the sub cable and placed my subwoofer in an out of site place.
    All the speakers sounded great and looked just as good.  It took me a bit to get the outside speakers to work, but that wasn't related to his install (needed to play with the zone 2 settings on my receiver).  
    When it comes time to install a TV out on the patio, and any other speaker work, he'll be the first person I contact and refer my friends and family to!

  • I would recommend Roger in a minute.  Knows his stuff, and very easy to deal with.  He mounted 2 65 inch TVs for me and wired them up to my DirecTv, and neither job was a cakewalk.  He also wired my entertainment system into one of the Tvs.  His pricing is very fair.   Everything has been working great, and when I get the TV for my back patio, I will be giving Roger a call.  You should, too - you will not be disappointed.  Thanks again, Roger.

  • Dave was great to work with from first contact. He was very communicative about what the job would entail, and offered advice before I even asked him to do the work. After initial contact, he was open to speaking on the phone or texting (more convenient for both of us). I scheduled the job, and he arrived at exactly the agreed upon time - he also texted me when he was on his way. He and Trevor showed up, confirmed the work to be done, and he asked if I was still good with the price before getting started. I was immediately impressed when the first thing they did was lay drop cloths and padded blankets in the work area. They got to work and the install came out fantastic - clean and precise (even cleaned the tv screen). You would never know they were here except for the new TV hanging on the patio! They also spent the time configuring all settings on the TV and the Directv. I will happily recommend their services to friends and family!

  • It gives you most the sports channels that you want. The only thing is out here in Arizona our college team is on what is called the Pac 12 Network. They don't have Pac 12, but they may have it here since AT&T bought them. I would not use them in the future.

  • Excellent service.  Gary arrived, actually ahead of time, even in the rain.  He went right to work on diagnosing the issue.  It's clear he knows what he is doing.  He climbed to the roof of the RV to inspect the dish and to make adjustments.  Very professional and efficient.  He made sure everything was working before he left.  I highly recommend this company.  Great job.

  • Extremely overpriced and poor value.  My bills have continually risen with no improvement in service or content.

    I am seriously looking into becoming a cord cutter.  Phone is overpriced for VOIP service.  Television service/choice and price is lousy. They provide dozens and dozens of channels that are worthless or offer programming of little value.  Charge extra for High definition service that merely duplicates what they offer in standard definition service.  This isn't 1998, everyone has HD TV's.  No excuse to charge extra.

  • Tim contacted me immediately and was able to get out the next day.
    He made the repairs to our satellite connection and offered many valuable tips and lots of information as well.
    He had the signal going through in no time.
    I also needed 5 phone jacks installed and wiring repaired.
    Due to time we made a separate appointment for that.
    Again, he arrived as agreed and had the work done by the time I got there.
    His work was first rate, professional and he goes beyond what's needed.
    Any future needs for us, there's no question who we're calling.

    I signed up online for a Costco Member special.  When I did that, DirectTV never asked for my Costco membership number or if I was even a Costco member.  Concerned I wouldn't get the $200.00 Costco Gift Card, that was part of the Costco special, I emailed DirectTV to verify that I would get it but they NEVER responded so I called DirectTV directly.  The "customer service" agent said that I would get it in 6-8 weeks even though I never gave them any information and he didn't show it on my new account.  Besides this, I also wanted to have my order corrected because they were to install 4 tv's but they only had 3 on the system.  This is when things got REALLY bad.
    After explaining the mistake that was made, the agent put me on hold.  He came back and told me that he CANCELED my account and was going to setup a new one with service for 4 tv's.  I told him he shouldn't have canceled it because the Costco order had expired and that the new account date wouldn't offer the same deal.  He said, "Ya...sorry about that.  There's nothing I can do."  I then asked to speak to his manager.  Unfortunately, things only got worse!
    The manager got on the line and told me that his agent shouldn't have canceled the account and that it was true that he couldn't give me the Costco special that I had but that he'd give me a $200.00 Visa gift card.  I said that was great as long as I got the same package that I had signed up for with the special.  He hesitated so I told him I'd read him the prices, off the email I got from DirectTV, confirming my order so that he could match it.  I read it to him and even offered to email it to him for his review. 
    After giving him the prices on the Costco package, from DirectTV's own confirmation email, the manager said he couldn't give me that package.  He'd give me the same package but the new cost was $30.00/month higher.  I told him that wasn't acceptable.  He said he couldn't do anything else.  I told him that was unacceptable and I wouldn't pay the higher prices.
    Upset at how DirectTV handled this, I contacted Costco.  They gave me the DirectTV customer service number just for Costco customers and told me to call them and if it wasn't "handled to my satisfaction" then to get back with them so they would know how DirectTV handled it.
    Reluctantly, I called the DirectTV number given to me by Costco and spoke to another customer service agent and his manager.  After much "dancing around" the manager finally  told me they'd give me the deal that I had originally signed up for.  I told her that, after all I'd been through and all of the time that I'd spent trying to resolve THEIR mistake, I expected something in the form of compensation for the trouble.  She offered nothing.  When sounding suspicious about what I meant regarding "compensation", like I was going to sue them, she asked for an example of what I wanted.  I told her I'd appreciate an extension on the 3 month free movie package (which was part of the original Costco deal I signed up for).  She said "no".  She said there was nothing she could do.  I told her I'd rather go to DISH than do business like this and that I would be reporting this incident to Corporate Costco in Issaquah, WA.
    As it stands now, I have several calls into Costco's corporate offices.  I did receive a call back from them but I wasn't able to take the call so they left a voicemail saying they'd like to speak with me about how one of their customers was treated.  I'll be calling them shortly.
    As I told DirectTV, and Costco corporate, I have everything documented including each phone call, whom I spoke to, and the date of the conversation, as well as,  all of the emails from DirectTV listing and confirming my original order.  This should be a very easy case to remedy and yet DirectTV has done NOTHING, including a complete absence of good customer service or remorse.
    I'm posting this so other's are aware how DirectTV operates.  They may say that they are committed to "excellent customer service" but my case proves that this ISN'T the case.  As a Costco member I expect, and have found with this one exception, that their products and services are rigourously vetted to guarantee high quality for members.  Unfortunately, this is NOT the case with DirectTV!
