  • I’m not one to write reviews for companies, but Donhauser plumbing truly deserves an “atta-boy” for the service that John Donhauser has provided over the years.My entire family has been using Donhauser plumbing for 30+ years and have referred others to this company. During this entire time, John has always provided excellent service at a fair price. Our calls are returned promptly and he always shows up on time when he tells you he will be there. From entire home copper re-pipes, a slab leak, water heater replacements, to leaky faucets and minor repairs, he has always provided great work for my family.   • From A-Z, these guys are the best! We had what ended up being a labor-intensive and somewhat complicated natural gas installation project (moving gas lines, install gas equipment and gas hook-up). From the moment I called their office, every bit of the experience was pleasant, efficient and exceptional. It was a multi-step, multi-day project. Barrett (and Cody) were pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful in determining the best course of action. When we were unable to find the correct parts, Barrett went out of his way to visit multiple shops so he could get the job completed (rather than me waiting days to research and order the parts online). He even came back out same day so we would not have to schedule another service call. We felt the prices were very reasonable, especially after learning not a lot of plumbers would take on such a big "gas" project. Grade: A++

  • At the beginning, he quoted me $1,300 for everything and then he changed it to $1,000. I did not pay him for this work and a lady from the office called and said they would have to call the police because I did not pay. I am not paying him for work that he has not even done.

  • The flexible propane gas line on my camper developed a leak. I tried to remove it and botched the job, twisting up the copper gas line lead pretty good. Vitaly (the owner) responded to my weekend message on Angie's list in less than 24 hours (message was placed on Sunday, he responded Monday early morning!). He arranged to meet up the same day and arrived less than 2 hours later. Despite the work being on my RV and not in the house (and despite it being hot), he figured out the parts needed, and got the job done in under 2 hours. He had a great attitude. Totally professional. I highly recommend using him.

  • I called and explained our situation in detail. I had detected a leak the day before and the city had shut the power off. After the receptionist talked to the manager "in further detail" they said they could get a technician out and do same day fix. The SW gas repair technician had already diagnosed the leak. When the crew arrived at the site they refused to do work without a permit because the gas had been shut off. They knew the gas was off with the first call. Then told me they could not get a permit until Monday and the gas would be turned back on Tuesday and left. My husband went online and got a permit in three minutes. I called and they said a crew was already busy. They manager Jason was rude and appeared to by lying about the process or totally ignorant. It was clear that they did not have anyone competent to fix a simple gas leak and we lost 8 hours on a Friday and now a weekend without gas.

  • Tim was cordial and prompt. He asked me if I was having any issues and the two minor issues I was having he offered to fix for a very high price (including the supposed 10% discount for Angie's List customers). I declined. He then flushed my water heater.
    He really didn't go through any type of checklist or inspection. He did not inspect all hose bibs around the house, he did not inspect gas lines, he did not inspect emergency shutoff valves, and he did not dye test all toilets. All of these things were stipulated in the "Comprehensive Plumbing Inspection" offer for $39.  
    Finally, he obviously did not check the top of the water heater (to insure the unit vents properly) because the next day when I went to dust off the water heater, I was SHOCKED at what I saw. He missed that the top of the water heater was leaking and oozing insulation. There was corrosion all over the top and at each connection point. I wish I could upload pictures. After his inspection I was under the impression my 4.5 year old water heater was in fantastic shape, but now I know that it is completely faulty and I have to replace it.

  • I had a wall mounted hot water heater installed several years ago but it was never installed quite properly.  It had also developed a minor leak.  I've had two different plumbers check it out in the past and after doing minor maintenance, they each recommended something different for improving the installation.  Finally I contacted the manufacturer of the wall mounted heater for qualified plumbers for their products.  One of the companies they recommended was Quail Plumbing.  Since I have had quite positive results with Quail on past major toilet plumbing repairs, I contacted Quail.  They sent Mark who had helped me so successfully with my toilet plumbing problem.  Mark went over the wall mounted heater with me and discussed what needed to be done and why.  Mark needed to order parts that were left off the original installation but were necessary for the unit to function properly. 
    Once the parts arrived, a time was scheduled and Mark arrived promptly.  Mark finished the necessary installation and repairs on my wall mounted heater.  Mark discussed what needed to be done.  Mark suggested I purchase a flow kit descaler so I could easily clean out/descale my hot water heater on a yearly basis myself.  Then Mark went through each step with me (waiting while I wrote myself instructions) so I could easily clean the unit each year.
    I discussed with Mark a future kitchen project I want to have done.  Mark explained to me what would needed to be done and quoted me an approximate price.
    I will definitely use Mark and Quail Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs.  The price was what Mark had quoted me originally and I am happy with the final results.

  • While on the roof, Nick noticed that there was insulation on the condenser coils AND that there was a hose bib gas leak.  Yikes!  He immediately called Southwest Gas.  Then Nick crawled through our extremely small attic to search for a duct leak.  Sure enough, a joint had come loose and was sucking in insulation.  He triple secured that leak, and crawled out to meet the SW Gas repairman who replaced the failed gas hose bib.   Nick cleaned the condenser coils and an interior permanent filter, closed everything up and was on his way.   We're VERY glad we called Day & Night for routine maintenance, otherwise we might not have discovered all these other issues until it was too late.

  • 'From phone call to signing the credit card receipt this company was excellent. The service tech Ray was one of the best people I've met that has come to our home to work for a service company. Everything was explained clearly and done neat and clean.
    People in the office in scheduling ans billing were very friendly and helpful.  Nothing bad to say at all.

  • Initially it was determined a week earlier, that the thermocouple needed to be replaced. After that was done by Day & night Tech, the water heater stopped working again. Kary, the office manager, scheduled Justin Harrah, a plumber, to come out as soon as I received the gas valve from the manufacturer. The part was under warranty. I called Kary on Sat. morning @ 11am. She scheduled Mr. Harrah to come out by 3pm. She told me, because of the troubles, there would not be a weekend rate for the repair. At 2:45 Mr. Harrah arrived and by 3:10 the valve was installed & working perfectly. Mr. Harrah then waited an additional 20 min. to make sure it was working properly. The attention to detail by both Kary & Justin was outstanding & far surpassed expectations. These professionals are responsible for a great experience in a difficult situation. As a result, I will not hesitate to use Day & Night Plumbing again.
