Arizona Solar Systems, Inc. / AZSS Services
Jacque and his crew did a wonderful job, for a more than reasonable price. They put in a lot more time than estimated and didn't charge us for it. But they still did the job very quickly and efficiently. They worked cleanly and quietly too. Very skilled and professional. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and hire them again when we need more work.

    ERIC THE HANDYMAN
We hired Eric to redo our master shower after a recommendation from a friend. We discovered issues immediately with this work and had him come back to fix a few things. His fixes were worse than his original work. Less than 2 months after he completed the job we noticed our baseboards were rotting from water leaks and we constantly had standing water in our shower. I reached out to Eric to let him know that we werent happy with his work and wanted him to refund a portion of what we paid him. I supplied several photos showing him the results of his work, including the rotting baseboards. He responded that he doesnt do refunds and he would fix whatever needed fixing. I responded we werent satisfied with his fixes and we wanted some money back to hire someone to fix his work. He then became very unprofessional with his responses and I at that time let it go. We are just now in the process of redoing the shower again at our cost with another company. This was a total redothe entire shower had to be demoed and we had to start from scratch again. This is a list of what Eric left behind. - Tile installed incorrectly (half the tiles were installed the wrong direction) - Cracked grout throughout (his fix was to smear yellowish caulking on my bright white tile) - Broken tile (yeshe installed a broken wall tile) - Chipped tile (he tried to cover up with white epoxy paint) - Step over not installed correctly and would never drain water (he came back to fix by sanding down the metal edging and I believe thats when he chipped the tile mentioned above, it still didnt drain properly) - Shower pan (we paid $700 for this pan) was installed incorrectly causing floor to flex and grout to crack and leak water (caused rotted baseboards outside of shower) - Floor tile not installed properly causing water to never fully drain - Drain pipe not glued to sewer pipe (all of the dirt below the subfloor was wet from drainage over the past year) - Shower faucet/drain installed off center - Shower head not installed correctly (loose behind the tile) - Tile behind shower handle mechanism cut too big and not sealed, allowing water to get behind tile - Exhaust fans not installed properly, insulation drops on our floor every time we run them - Insulation not replaced in attic after drywall work was completed - Wall patching/texturing needed to be sanded down and redone - Wall he painted in bathroom needed a second coat and edges cleaned up

    Metzger's Painting Professionals Inc
Response time for quote was timely, the person arriving at the house for the quote was on time and professional. The cost was very similar to another company I was favoring but would not allow to do the work because the license and bonding information presented did not match the company name, so I chose Metzgers. The work was to repair 1) a long crack in the ceiling between large two rooms (this was the reason to get the work done), 2) two ceiling cracks between light fixtures, 3) crack in a wall between two windows (vertically). Ben (the work supervisor) appeared on the morning of the scheduled work day along with the person that was to perform the work. Ben said that person would perform the work and Ben would be by at the end of the day to review it, then he left. The work was performed, poorly, and the person that did the work left. The cracks were "gone" but in their place were high ridges, where it was very obvious "repairs" had been made. In addition, the texturing was very poorly done as well, as in, very little texturing at all. Ben never returned, He never called. He never returned my calls. The appointment was 12/11, before the holidays, and I needed to paint the ceiling because company was arriving 12/23. So because there had been no response, I sent an email 12/19, with multiple pictures documenting the poor work before I painted. I then painted and proceeded to enjoy the holidays. In my email I stated I would not be available to have the repairs fixed until after 1/7, so I did finally get a call to reschedule for 1/10, with a new repair person. Ben and a person that Ben said was the best in their company came out. Ben gave directions and left then the new person attempted to make the repairs look good. The main crack between the two rooms still is very obvious that repairs were done. After attempting three times to get the ceiling to look like the surrounding ceiling I surmised that they are just not capable of doing proper drywall repair. Ben did return at the end of the work (because of the quality dispute), but told me that was the best they could do. If I were a teacher and had to grade the quality of their work, I would give them a C- or D, barley acceptable by industry standards. I have other ceiling repairs to do but I will not be calling these guys back. Ever.

    Skillset inc
Awful. The project was 3 months past the deadline before we finally decided to cut our losses with this company who continued to give us empty promises with zero regard for our time. Additionally they were not properly licensed to take on this size job. We lost over $40,000 to this company after taking into account the time we lost and the repairs we now have to make due to their poor work. The biggest issue we are facing is having to put on a brand new roof after paying them $5,000 to give us a new one to begin with. The person they hired to install the roof had no idea what they were doing. Would not recommend.

    Dry Star Restoration LLC
We are in mid process. The dry out is done and awaiting approval from insurance for repairs to begin. Abbie has been fabulous with keeping me informed and the boys, Justin and Steven were really nice/personable and thorough with their explanations. My place is now dry and waiting to be repaired.

    Handyman Connection - Phoenix
Very well. Handyman Connection's Mark Clay was very professional and courteous, made very useful suggestions and selected paint that matched the nearby walls very well, was neat in laying out the work and cleaning up each day, and overall maintained an excellent rapport with us. See the photos: A: just after drywall and some prior unused internal shelving were removed, and B: completed project. We are very pleased.
