Philadelphia Pediatricians Reviews

"They are really good. I have taken my kids here for three years. I wouldn't take them anywhere else. My children get the same doctor and the same nurses. They are very familiar with my kids. They are detailed in their work. I don't wait a lot at all. I can call them with an issue, and it isn't ignored. They make sure that I get in there as soon as possible."
"Excellent and efficient office. They can always see my kids on the day of if I call when they are sick. No waiting times, no nurses, and you will always see the doctor that you request. Two locations - Center City and Ardmore."
"When our daughter was first born this seemed like a good place. However, the more visits we have to the buck road office the more we dislike it. We are now switching to a new provider after another episode like yesterday--

We had a 10:00am wellness check appt. We got there at 9:45ish and were taken back after only waiting a few minutes. By 9:55 we had height and weight checks done and were in the room waiting for the doctor. After 10 minutes of waiting with a (mostly) naked 15 month old in a tiny 10x5 room with no toys you can imagine how things started to get. At the 15 minute

I went outside the room to walk around to give her something to look at. I asked one of the assistants when the doctor would be coming and was told we were next. Not for another 10 minutes were we seen by a doctor. 25 minutes later!

For the 3rd or 4th consecutive visit we saw a doctor we had never seen before. Our daughter was obviously very rammy at this point while she was being checked out, so I made the passive aggressive comment, "sorry she's a little rammy from being in this room for almost half an hour." The doctor looked at me puzzled and just said, "oh." After her 5 minute check she said, "sorry for the wait" on her way out. As I was setting up our 18 month appointment we were faced with the always miserable desk staff who act like every question or response you give is the wrong one. we've had enough.
"We like them a lot and they are very good. We like the doctors a great deal. we've gone there for a number of years and at any given moment my children have seen different providers there. They have a good connection with them. Originally I didn't really like the office staff very much and I didn't think they were very well organized but they have computerized their operation and the people working in the office are ten times as good as they used to be. The doctors were always good and now the office staff has improved a lot so we are pretty happy with them. We have a very good and established relationship with them and we are happy and probably would not consider going any place else. We have been going here for 15 years."
"We had to wait over 6 weeks to get an appointment. My son's birthday is in

and calling in June to get an appointment for his yearly and school physical around the time of his birthday and prior to the school year starting was unattainable. I had to wait over 6 weeks for him to see the nurse practitioner, not even the pediatrician. We actually got an appointment in September, absolutely amazing! I called and spoke with Dr. Crino told her that my son probably would not be able to start school because I wouldn't have his forms completed in time due to the first available date for his appointment. She explained that it is a busy time for them and she apologized and assured me the office manager would contact me as resolve this issue. I never got a call from the office manager. I then asked if I made the appointment in the spring I would also have to wait because of all the camp physicals that the office was making appointments at that time. I have taken my children to this pediatrician for 12 years. I have never seen a doctor or nurse practitioner at the scheduled appointment time. The most I have waited was two hours and the least amount of time waiting either in the outer waiting room or in an examining room was 30 minutes. Needless to say it is hard to schedule the rest of the day not knowing how long it will take at the pediatrician?s office. The front desk staff has always seemed stressed and too busy to actually want to help us when we come in. It is more like a conveyor belt and we are the products stuck on this endless belt being shuffled here and shuttled there. I have never really felt good about taking my kids here but this office was highly recommended by people at their school when we moved here. The Nurses and Doctors were fine and their knowledge and skills are not in question, it is just the overall experience at the office that was always a headache. I hated having to take them. I dislike having to call them because of the receptionist who answers the phone does not come across very friendly. I also am usually put on hold for more than 5 minutes. That is when you can actually get through to a "real" person. Most of the time it is easier to just leave a message and hope they get back to you within a week. I'm so glad that this was my son's last visit there as he will be 18 next summer and will be able to see my regular primary care physician. I don't know why people put up with this type of service. I mean don't they think their time is valuable? I know my time is important to me and I hate wasting it waiting to see the pediatrician. My advice to young parents...find another office to take your kids to or be prepared to make a visit to the pediatrician an all day adventure. The other service we requested was to get a referral for the chiropractor. My son was told that we needed to call the chiropractor and get the provider number and ALL the codes for the services being provided and they would send it electronically to the Chiropractor. He had been to this doctor before and all the information was already in his file, but they wouldn't even look and get him the referral. This wasn't how it was handled before and I really was upset that I have to do all this extra work just to get a

referral. I feel like the practice is cutting back on resources and the people that are suffering are the patients. Pretty soon there won't be any services provided by doctors. The services and customer service really changed at this doctor's office after they combined with Advocare. I'm just glad that I do not have to deal with them anymore.
"When my son's pediatrician retired in 2007, I researched to find another pediatrician. I was referred to this practice, although specifially Dr.

was actually the 2nd doctor in the practice that my son saw. He loved him and I was very impressed with him. Over the past few years, he has always made himself available for my phone calls and has made my son and me comfortable with the his health status."
"He has seen them through health issues both mundane and unusual. It is hard to describe how wonderful he is. He is the doctor that everyone, including adults, wishes they had. He is sensitive, perceptive and masterfully skillful at communicating with children, no matter what their age. He is so gentle in examining or performing other procedures. He has steered us to appropriate specialists whenever it has been necessary. As a parent, I appreciate his kindness and sense of humor in answering all of my questions no matter how picayune."
"My daughter had been going to Dr.

"The last time I took my kids there was for a wellness checkup. I usually see the same doctor on most occasions. Dr.

is my kid?s pediatrician there. She makes my kids feel comfortable. My overall experience with her has been good."
"She is very organized, thorough and good at making sure that immunizations are on time and complete. She is very good at monitoring nutrition as well. She is very warm and friendly with my kids and is very professional. When we first brought my son home, she diagnosed him with asthma right away."
