Sample Pediatric Opthamologists Reviews

"Although he is a pediatric ophthalmologist, I want to let others know that Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
is also a specialist in adult strabismus. He performed a surgery on my eyes, and straightened them completely. After 28 years of having this problem, and going to other 'strabismus specialists' who did not listen to me, or my needs, finding Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
was like finding water in a desert. I cannot tell you how much his operation on my eyes has changed my life. My sight is great, and my self-confidence is through the roof. I cannot recommend him highly enough. This doctor is a miracle worker. I want to clone him. :)
"Overall, happy with the exam but make sure you book 6 months to 1 year in advance. Plus had a problem with incorrect birthdate in system so my daughter's date had to be changed after waiting appro. 7-8 months----they had her scheduled to see a non pediatric optomologist and told me she couldn't come in as expected. I was very unhappy. The young lady at the appt desk was very nice. She tried many times to assist me................eventually she was able to get me in on a cancellation."
"I was first referred to "Dr. Z" by our pediatrician for our son. Our first reason for seeing the doctor was that his tear ducts were still clogged. The second reason is that we have a family history of congenital glaucoma and wanted to make sure that he looked healthy. Our first appointment was when he was just a 8 months old. The office is small, but run very efficiently. I found it very reassuring to see quite a few little ones. The appointment itself was quick, but the "Dr. Z" explained every procedure and why it was being done. Everything looked good, but she wanted to see us again at a year if the tear ducts remained closed. Fortunately, they opened so he had a recheck at age two. This appointment was a little longer complete with his eyes being dilated to check for the glaucoma. Everything was fine. It was quite a relief. We could not be happier with "Dr. Z." We have also had possible pink eye scares and the office was extremely terrific about squeezing us in. "
"He has done two surgeries on my daughter and she sees him every year. I like his personality and that he does his follow up calls on time and he doesn’t have a nurse call me, he does it himself. My daughter has an appointment with him again next month."
"Dr Granet is excellent. The only thing I do not like is that his practice forces him to make appointments every 15 minutes, but he takes far longer with each patient and often runs late.. sometimes more than an hour late. So take something to do/read - he is worth the wait. He diagnosed my daughter as having "insufficient convergence" which causes her some vision difficulties, but is easily remedied by eye exercises, using software that is quite fun."
"My mother and father go to him. I was referred to him because of my diabetic care. He has excellent bedside manner. He is a sweetheart. The only problem is that you better get ready to wait and wait and wait. So many people want to see him. If your appointment is at 1pm they will see you by 4pm. It is a long time and you should take a lunch. His availability is very poor. You have to make an appointment with him 3 months in advance. He is really in demand. His office is very crowded. There is never even a seat and their are a bunch of screaming kids running around the place. The staff is very friendly and they try to help you out as much as possible. You can tell that they are always overwhelmed. My mother was supposed to have an appointment today and she didn't have time to wait for 3 hours so she canceled her appointment. He is very kind. His communication is excellent. He explains everything to you. He takes pictures of his eyes and shows you the pictures. He shows you what a normal one should look like and what your's looks like. I don't appreciate his waiting time."
"Overall I would say that the appointments went fairly well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had no trouble with billing or insurance. Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
was efficient and effective. My only complaint would be that Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
seemed a little cold in his bedside manner especially for someone working with children. We have decided to see another pediatric ophthalmologist because of his bedside manner but I can't say anything negative about the effectiveness of his treatment. "
"One morning my 2-year-old woke up with a sudden eye turn that was dramatic to say the least. I have some friends at the vision school and they said call Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
(the son, not the senior
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
). Best thing I could have done. After the front desk heard the problem, they got us in within the week. I really thought it might be a brain tumor and that was a possibility. Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
did an extraordinarily thorough examination of my son and ordered up an MRI to
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
out the scary stuff. Initailly all the places that did pediatric MRI's were booked for 6 weeks, but the nurse at Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
's office knew we would be tereified to wait that long and found us a cancellation and got us in 2 days. Nothing was found on MRI, so we proceeded to patching to see if it would clear up on its own. It did not, so we scheduled surgery.
The pre-op consultation was excellent. His assistent met with us first to go over everthing he would be doing, all our questions everything. The correction went great. Our son is now 1 year post-op and his eyes have been perfect since that day. Our follow-ups are great as well. Dr.
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
is great with children, it is obvious he knows his stuff, he is professional, answers questions, and makes you feel at ease. His whole office is set up for children and his staff are excellent. Multiple bathrooms, tables, tv with cartoons, and toys (if they dialate eyes you will be there 30 mins so this is good stuff). The whole office staff made a stressful situation a little easier. Thank you!
"I called around 1:00 to see if they could see my son and they were able to squeeze him in at 2:00. We got there and had very little wait time. The staff was all very nice and made sure my son felt ok about what was going to happen. They dilated his eye and the Dr. took a good deal of time peering into my son's eye looking at the
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
and retina. He concluded that he had a mild scratch on the eye but didn't need to be patched. The Dr. wanted us to come back in a week for a followup appointment to re-check the retina. The Dr. did a great job (using model of the eye) explaining to us why getting a
Philadelphia Pediatric Opthamologists Provider Name Locked
to the eye could cause a problem with the retina. I felt that we were really well taken care of and was very pleased that they were able to see my son just hours after his accident.
"It takes five months to get a pediatric opthomology appointment here. So, it's basically not even an option. I had my appointment scheduled for the past five months. It was supposed to be the day after tomorrow. Something came up and I can't take my daughter and they said that the next appointment is in October. And they are rude in person and on the phone. They do not care if you patronize their practice. At all."
