"I had two separate extended warranty contracts with this company for an 10" Electronic Tablet and an Electric Toothbrush. Both failed in the warranty period" and they honored the warranty at full purchase price. They provided a return shipping label and immediately sent me a check for one and an Amazon.com coupon for the other based on my choice. Exceptional service.

"The entire process from start to finish was excellent. Price was right, the communication was spot on, and the warranty I purchased was GREAT value for the money." Has to use the warranty on my RV and the RV repair shop handled ALL communications with the warranty company. The repair shop in fact said this was the best experience they have ever had with an extended warranty company. I am appreciative in that I am referring my friend to you for his extended warranty as well. Good job, great price and a professional staff.

Before you make that big-ticket purchase, whether it be electronics or a home appliance, be aware that you’ll likely be encouraged to buy an extended warranty to go with it. But are they worth the money?

Angie's Answers

First, call your insurance company and tell them you do not want any proceeds paid to the contractor under your policy as you are not going with them.  This way they can not collect money on your behalf.  Insurance will typically have you sign a form for release of funds anyway but this is a good extra step to make sure your signature isn't forged.  Second, call the contractor and tell them you will not be needing their services afterall.  Did your husband pay a deposit?  If so it may be non-refundable.  Then follow up with a certified letter.

An email as well doesn't hurt but some states don't yet recognize email as a form of communication for legally binding documentation.  This may have changed and I'm sure more states do recognize them as I haven't followed that topic elsewhere as much as I used to.  The contractor's office should be local.  A sure fire way to ensure they got the message is to deliver the letter to the office of the contractor and have someone at the office sign a duplicate stating it has been recieved and read.  There's no arguing whether they received it or not by doing that.

Hopefully you've learned your lesson about high pressure sales techniques and storm chasers looking for a quick buck.  Some people find out a much harder way.  While these guys may be legitimate you should always do your homework on a contractor before signing the contract.  Unless you have water running out of the house and the work has to be done on the spot it's not so much of an emergency that it can't wait until the next day.

Consider going to library an reading Consumer Reports rating on home insurance companies in your area.  For affordabilty elect the highest deductable you can stomach.  This will lower your premioum, I went thru Costco, they and Sam's Club can be a valuable resource for home and car insurance. Shop on line with your needs to save money.  Unless you have major assets forget large policy. For your gutter and roofing needs see my blog.

Warranty Company reviews in Philadelphia

Poor service. Did not honor their warranty. Failed to return my laptop and failed to honor my warranty. We are filing a claim with the FTC, and BBB, and small claims court.
They said they were goign to repair my laptop, but instead they sent us the hard drive and never sent us anything like this.
Their actions with us are thuggish. We will never trust them. All their support are in India and have no support whatsoever. Nothing was said to us that was honest. We will NEVER use them and we are cancelling all our warranty we purchased with them.

She came in and did a consultation and provided me with a report on what I need to do to increase interest for potential buyers. It was very detailed and professional. I had the option of making the changes to my home ( getting rid of some items, re-arranging furniture) but I was too busy with work to do that so she came in and completed the project in a day. She added some additional touches to make my home more inviting. I received an offer on my home in 10 days and eventually had a bidding war! Would recommend using a

to anyone looking to sell quickly!

They are a utility provider and they offer disability to enroll in their appliance service and they bill you each month. You log online and you enter in your work order for the product you signed up for. You just go online and set an appointment date that is available. It is an appliance warranty company. It is kind of like a home warranty. You can put on different appliance, but it comes through my utility provider. I pay a flat monthly service fee. It covers my washer, dryer, and broiler. I pay $25 a month for all three of those and if I have a problem, I just give them a call and they would send somebody out. I have been using them for about six months. It is a fair price for what you are getting if you got over equipment. They come out and do what they are supposed to do. So, I cannot give them any fault. I never had any issues with them.

It took actually hours on the phone to fix a very
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
problem. Each person I talked to told me something different... Finally I asked for a manager and was told that the manager would tell me the same thing.
But the manager fixed the problem immediately. There seem to be many 1st level people that need more training in customer service.

If there were a grade higher than "A",
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
would get it! We have warranties on all of our cell phones. They sent a replacement phone for my daughter along with a prepaid shipping label, so it was very easy for her to have all her data transferred to the new phone and send back the old one, even while away at college. They were able to temporarily change my address so it was sent directly to her at college a few hours away from home. The phone rep understood that it's a safety issue for her to have a phone while away at school, and offered me that option. I didn't even have to ask! They shipped the new one so quickly, she got it before I was able to open and read the shipping tracking email! My Galaxy S4 suddenly developed a serious battery issue a couple of days ago - it gets very hot and swells and the phone shuts off if I try to use the internet, even when at 80% power. Online research showed that Samsung has been aware of problems with that battery model. When I called Samsung, they wanted me to send in my battery and if their testing showed it as defective, they would send me a replacement. This could take several weeks, during which time I would not have a phone unless I purchased a new battery anyway. I then called
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
, and my new battery will arrive for free by the end of the week. I also had a warranty on my Oreck air cleaner. The handle on the filter snapped, making it almost impossible to remove.
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
sent me a free shipping label and Fed Ex picked up the box from my home while I was at work. Within a few days, I had a check refunding my purchase price. I recommend

to everyone I know and will use them on all of our electronics and cell phones from now on!

Think twice before buying a
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
plan at
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
. The
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
sales and management staff promise that if our 60" tv breaks for any reason, even including lightning hits they will replace the tv no questions asked

This could not be further from the truth. After calling
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
when the tv died, it took them three days to even get a work order to the local repair shop that they selected. (Alltronics
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
SC). Then began a 25 day saga of excuses and
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
. They would say their computers were down, then they blamed the local repair facility, We were forced to make daily calls to both companies when we asked why we had to be the middle man between the two, a

rep said "It's your tv, it's your problem" !!!!!

The repAir techs said
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
refused to replace the tv.
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
said Alltronics refused to condemn the tv. Then Alltronics would say they needed parts but
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
would not approve the parts purchase

Then we supposedly reached a man in management at
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
and complained about how long this was taking. He told us there was no time limit in their contract and it could take months and there was nothing we could do!

The local
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
manager waited for over 20 minutes on hold over several phone calls and then began to get the same
Philadelphia Warranty Companies Provider Name Locked
and excuses..... The computers were down, they couldn't find the work order, the parts were never requested by Alltronics, and so on

Arrogance, rude communications and total lack of any customer service

We will never buy a warranty plan again, especially if

is behind it
