  • I initially called Hearth & Provider name locked. about replacing or fixing a gas fireplace in my home which is broken.  The person on the phone was very helpful in telling me how to obtain the information on the existing unit (the brand, the model number, etc).  I took pictures of the label in the old unit and went directly to the store.
    I went to the store sometime in September and spoke with Provider name locked. , who talked to me about a few different options to replace the unit.  It's an old unit, which probably needed updating anyway, so I was happy to go with a replacement rather than fixing it.  He presented me with two options that would fit the current space and the general pricing.  He tried to upsell the higher priced one, but was fine when I said I would think about it and call back with my decision.  Everything was fine up until that point. 
    Two days later, I called and spoke to Provider name locked. again.  He remembered me, but couldn't remember what prices he had quoted me for the unit I wanted to get.  I told him what he had quoted me (I had taken notes at the store and wrote it down).  He said he would have to call me back to confirm the price.  I gave him my cell phone number.  Around a week later, he called and left a message. 
    When I called him back a few days later, I again spoke to Provider name locked. .  He claimed that he had tried to call me several times (he only called once) and at that point couldn't remember the question he had for me.  He asked me if he had asked a question in his voicemail.  I told him that he did not, he just left a message to call him.  He asked if I could come into the store at that moment.  I said I was unable to go to the store.  So he again told me he would have to call me back.  I spoke to him on Wednesday October 15.  He asked when he could call again, and we arranged that he would call me on Friday morning, the 17th of October.  He assured me he would call.
    I was a little hesitant at that point to even go forward with Hearth & Provider name locked. , given the lack of professionalism.  But if he had called me when he said he would, I would have gone forward with the work.  But of course he did not call and I have not heard anything since.  I would have given the entire experience an F, but they were initially helpful, so I gave them a D instead.

  • I was impressed that Provider name locked. was willing to take 5 minutes to explain things to me, and to help me solve the problem myself rather than booking a service appointment.  He saved me time and money when he easily could have booked a service appointment and charged me for his time.  He even called to follow up and see if I was able to get things working.  This reflects very well on his character and his business practices, and he will absolutely be my first call if I ever have another issue with my fireplace.

  • The staff, from the office manager Provider name locked. to the owner Provider name locked. and his 2 colleagues effected a prompt inspection, resolution plan and reasonable estimate for their work.  They executed the project promptly and efficiently.  They even added color pigment to the concrete to match the existing color of my deck at no additional cost and cleaned up like they were never there!   Their professionalism and knowledge of my job and toward me was commensurate. Most of all.... NO LEAKING!  I would recommend them in a heart beat!
