Concrete Driveway Installation reviews in Philadelphia

  •    Provider name locked. , owner of Provider name locked. & Masonry, was the first to respond to my phone call after I unsuccessfully tried to get a response from another contractor who was prominently displayed on Angie's site.  Provider name locked. came to my0 home early on a Sunday morning and assured me that, as the owner of the company, there were advantage in using a local contractor such as he.

Our job would be repaving our driveway, from the patio to the street.  Also, removal and repaving of two sidewalk blocks.  Despite the early morning, Provider name locked. was most pleasant and although his company did not offer a Senior Discount, he made up for this in other ways.  For example, he advised my wife and me that instead of requiring a concrete depth of six inches, it would be more than adequate to have a five inch depth --saving us $300.  Also, adjacent to the driveway was a small garden wall that Provider name locked. said he would re-cement -- at no additional cost.  After Provider name locked. submitted his written estimate and while waiting for our work date, someone crashed into the garden wall and demolished all but a few bricks.

I called Provider name locked. to ascertain if there would be additional charges.  He kindly said he would repair the wall and even bring in additional bricks if needed.  He said there would be no additional charges.

Our final job: Approximately 570 square feet removal and replacement of five inch thick concrete, four inch thick on sidewalk.  This included a three inch stone base.

I was impressed with his patience in which he answered all my questions regarding the curing using fiber mesh and the sealing.  We also talked  about caring for the finished concrete during the winter.  And it was obvious from his smiles that he was dedicated to his work and delivering a finished job with a "cream" concrete finish.

His five man crew worked diligently and were pleasant and polite.

  • I am still getting compliments on the quality of work!  Provider name locked. is a nice man, excellent businessman, and has great customer service skills.  It was a pleasure doing work with them.

  • The service went well. My son supervised their work and said they worked very hard and did a great job. The technicians were very professional and good to work with. They were efficient and great at cleaning up after themselves. They made sure to pour a lot of cement which is important for a new driveway. Provider name locked. was very nice to work with as well. My only concern is that there was a small crack in the cement and I am waiting to see if they can come back out to repair it. There was also a retaining wall that was orange that they were supposed to paint but they forgot. There was just some confusion on that so I cannot blame him for that. He did one extra thing for the railing to support it better with a cement block. I was very pleased with the cement job, overall.
