  • When I was first referred to Dr. Provider name locked. , he recommended epidural injections for my herniated discs in my lumbar spine and left the medications up to my PCP.  The first round, at the surgical center per my request, was without incident and provided me with a lot of pain relief.  The second round he decided to do in his office.  I was extremely nervous but it went fine.  The final round, again in office was so painful they had to stop the procedure and reschedule it for the surgical center.  He is very skilled as far as procedures go.

In terms of remembering what treatment he suggests and what he discusses with you during consults, he doesn't remember.  A typical office visit runs like this: Once you are called back, office staff take you to an examination room where you sit on a chair next to a desk with a computer on it.  A tech (or some type of medical person) comes in to take your vital signs and asks what you are here for.  Then the doc comes in.  You would think that the first person to talk to you would communicate with the doc about what was discussed but I don't believe that happens in this office.  He sits at the computer, types notes, yells at his staff about the computer (not in a mean way, just loud), and asks how things are going.  Sometimes, his medical staff sit at the computer and type while he stands and discusses treatment plans.  The epidural injections weren't working as well for me on the 2nd and 3rd round so, during an office visit, he suggested multiple things to help me with my pain (a home TENS unit, an orthopedic consult, and several other things).  It took me 3 months of office visits to get the TENS unit because he never remembered we had talked about it.  I never got the orthopedic consult.  He never addressed my thoracic complaints.

  • This was my third treatment in three years. I was able to get my appointment on about 10 days notice to get it in 2010. The doctor and his entire staff are friendly and efficient. The wait was short. I was in and out in about two hours. All three treatments have been very effective, lasting between 3 and 9 months, which I understand is exceptional. I will definitly use Dr. Araini's services again for this chronic problem.
