    VIKING Masonry Inc
Viking Masonry was amazing! In our home's lower level, we had a brick fireplace with a hearth that was uncompleted. Viking Masonry not only matched the old brick perfectly, but finished the curved edge on the hearth beautifully. They were punctual, professional, and precise. Their work was extraordinary and they were efficient. They also cleaned up the area wonderfully. Thank you Viking Masonry for a beautiful job!!

    Randalls General Construction
We hired Randall after checking reviews on Angie's List, Nextdoor and checking the BBB. There was nothing but praise for the work he had done for people. We came to an agreement on price and the work started fine. After a short time he started showing up less and less and the project drug out. We kept giving draws every time he asked for money until most of the work was paid for, though not complete. On July 27th Randall asked for another $1000, thank goodness it took a little while for my wife to get a break so she could write a check, when she took it down to him all of his tools, etc., were gone. He left the job unfinished (about 75% complete) and when we gave him notice of abandonment he replied by email to sue him but we wouldn't get much from a defunct company with no assets. The stucco was not finished, the door that was installed was not sealed around frame (open to the elements), electrical unfinished, water faucet not installed, screen pool cage frame and screen not replaced, holes in wall not repaired, balcony rail not complete, balusters not compliant or grouted, gutter not reattached, lights in pantry and under balcony not installed, trim around kitchen window not installed, French door hanging loose, hinge screws not tightened, and none of the painting has been completed. Then there is the damage to other items from not protecting them while work was performed such as stucco globs all over the poos deck, the pool deck drain is blocked by stucco and or concrete, pavers brick missing (don't know where that went, it was there when work started), stucco and grout left in the yard what was St. Augustine. I am sure there are things I missed, but this shows Mr. Anderson is not of the same character as he was at some point in the past.

Stephanie and Par did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, and they did it beautifully. The crew was always respectful of us and our property. Randall is true craftsman. Our expectations were high and they exceeded them by far.

    James Marquis Masonry
the first project was the front of the house. Although it was a big one , this part of the job went good. The second phase was stone coverage for a big fireplace and a bar. This part of the project was not as good as the first stage as Jim Marquis installed the hearth crooked. Also it was supposed to be in 2 pieces and he put 4 pieces instead. He said he will fix it and will seal all the stones when he will come back for the 3 rd stage. The 3 rd stage was for a smaller fireplace and was a smaller project and had an all different ending. That Monday morning Mr Marquis came to do it, he was in very bad mood and sending nasty text message requesting water access that he had and complaining about anything. That same morning my neighbor called me to notify me about his bad temper and mouthy behavior . After a couple of attempt to call him , he kept texting to avoid any voice contact. I went to the job site as he was pulling out of my property to pick up some parts. I address a few words to the 2 workers that were there to notify them that the Hearth for the small project was too thick and very inelegant.I also complained about the lack of protection of the new travertine pavers as mix concrete was on it without cover paper.I showed them an old hearth for them to compare and they recognized the big difference in thickness. I told them i will wait for Jim to come back to debate and see for options without worrying too much about it. They told me "good luck" and they also mentioned the terrible mood of their boss.2 minutes later, Jim Marquis called me when i was on the job site and kept yelling using a dozen of time the "F" word and claiming that this small job was" ******* him off" and that he did not want to do it and he hang up!!!. At that point i talked to his 2 workers and ask them to wrap up. i did not want a moody guy running the project as i knew how it would finish, messed up and bad!!!. Jim came back like an excited maniac and took all the stone materials i paid for and left without saying a word . I gave him 50% of the fund to do that project that he never performed.I requested he drop the material back and accepted via text message but he never did and it was 2 months ago.He never finish the project, never seal the stone from previous work and never refunded the deposit.Completely dishonest!!! Mr Marquis lift weight as a hobby and as a Physical therapist, I suggested Mr Marquis to stop using steroids as it has a direct effect on his behavior.Trust me, you can see steroids are part of his routine. Over usage of steroids will bring a high level of aggressiveness . After looking on the county clerk of court record, I saw the previous arrest he had for battery. Also I noticed that some of his former customers went through a similar conflict with same consequences and left negative reviews on the BBB.It is sad to see people ruining their lives with drug.Honestly, Mr Marquis can do some nice work but his temper is destroying him.By precaution , I installed some camera around the house and notified the neighbors.

    Harrison Masonry
I asked Mr. Harrison for a quote to install a brick face on my new garage. I sent him a drawing and a photo of the existing brick on the house (to match). He gave me a quote of $1,275. I asked if the brick would match the existing brick on the house and he said "exactly". I accepted his proposal. 3 days later he called to confirm my address and in the conversation he asked if the material was on site. I said no and asked if he had ordered it. He said that his quote did not include materials. I reminded him about his statement that it would match "exactly" and he said that the finished install would match the existing install not that he was furnishing materials. He said that I would have to buy the materials myself. Harrison might be a good guy and he may do good work but his business practices are terrible.

Let Brice Do It Concrete & Pavers
Brice did a fantastic job!!  This is the second time we've used him.  First time was to fix another contracts bad work.  His work was so good we were inspired to expand our original plan.  Brice worked closely with us on the design to ensure it blended well with the existing pavers. He was well versed in what type and color of pavers we already had on the ground (we had three different types).  He and his team were very professional and tidy in their work.  We've had dozens of people stop and make comments on how much the additional work improved the curb appeal of our home.  We plan to use him again!

    Orlando Brick Pavers, LLC
The crew is efficient, quiet and skilled. I barely knew the crew of 3 was here...no music, no breaks, jjust working quietly but together. All the work is done by hand, including excavation. The pattern is beautiful. This company is family-owned and operated...has a good reputation. I don't think I will use anyone else. Next project is my brick driveway.

    Tom Easton Construction

Work went very well. Contacted Mr. Easton and set up a time to meet. He was on time, very professional, and showed me photos of past products, as well as providing the address of a project he was working on nearby so I could see the work. He also had catalogs available, though in our case we had already narrowed our stone choice down.

We asked for pricing with several options, which Mr. Easton did in a very complete manner. Most of our correspondence was via email, which was convenient. Once pricing was finalized, we agreed on a first and second choice of date to do the work, depending on their current schedule, material availability, and our upcoming vacation. They were very flexible. Mr. Easton emailed a few days later asking to start on the earlier of the dates we had picked. He had quoted three days to do the work, and that is exactly what they took, so it was nice to see the new stone on the house before we left for vacation. The stone material ordered/delivered was very exact, with very little left over (I am pointing that out as a positive thing).

Stone was delivered and staged the day prior to work starting, so there was not a great deal of startup time prior to their beginning work when they arrived the next day. The work proceeded very efficiently. Mr. Easton's son really is somewhat of an artist in laying up the stones and making cuts (cultured stone is not colored all the way through, so I imagine badly placed/angled cuts would spoil the whole effect), so everything looks very nice. The attention to detail was very good; they provided bonding agent under all new stone/mortar/stucco, and I noticed at the end that they had finished out the edges of the stone with a brownish mortar, rather than the gray that they set most of the stones in, which makes the finished edges around the garage very nice. Stucco work was very good, straight lines and uniform thickness. They did a good job of blending the stucco pattern in where new met up with existing. As noted above, I had had a previous contractor come in and provide a foam/stucco band which still had a kink in it after three tries. Mr. Easton's crew removed that band and installed a new stucco one which makes me sigh with relief every time I look at it.

As for jobsite conduct, they were very professional. They don't wear uniforms or anything, but they introduced their crew so we knew who they were. They did have a radio, which was kept at a reasonable volume while working. The jobsite was cleaned thoroughly at the end of each day. This was one of the few jobs I've had done at my house where there was literally nothing to pick up when they left.

At the end of the job, we did not find anything that needed re-work. We did ask for a couple of small additions mid-work, once we saw how nice the stone and stucco were turning out. These were accommodated in the original job time frame and were very reasonably priced. I would certainly have Mr. Easton and his crew back to perform additional work at my house.

    Tom Easton Construction
I was a little surprised at how much they charged but then he quoted half the price of the nearest competitor, I guess these guys get paid a lot an hour.  I can't argue with the price.  He was a lot cheaper than anyone else.  He did a good job.  He was always here when he said he would be.  He was easy to communicate with.  Everything was great, I was just surprised at how much it cost to do stone work.
