  • The office staff is slow with responsiveness, referrals and they do not properly communicate information from other doctors.  We will continue to use this office as we really like our doctor.

  • My experience with her was fine. I think they are very knowledgeable. The staff is pleasant and they are close to where I live. It makes a big difference.

  • I saw Dr. Barot for severe anemia, which required IV infusions. I went once a week for 7 weeks, and each week the side effects kept getting worse. I was having joint pain, edema, back pain, loss of muscle function and a pain in my right side. I told Dr. Barot that I thought I was having a reaction to the drug. He kept making excuses, like my right side was hurting because of the way I was sitting in the chair. Hmmmm, the only time it would hurt is while I was getting the infusions, same time into the treatment and every week it got worse. I did consider stopping the treatments, but at this point my iron was too low and I would have needed a transfusion. On the last treatment I ended up having a BAD reaction - Provider name locked. , swelling, redness, difficulty breathing. They had to reinsert my IV, give me steroids, benedryl and call my husband to pick me up! A few weeks later when I went in for a follow-up, Dr. Barot had not even put the reaction in my records (the reaction happened AFTER my treatment, during the 30 min. wait time to leave) and he refused to acknowledge that it was a reaction to the iron IV. I believe he did not write it in my chart because he would have to report the reaction to the FDA. He makes a lot of money off these infusions, at the expense of his patients. On a side note, the phlebotomists in his office do know know how to put in IV's very well. I will admit that I have terrible veins, but it took them 2-4x to get it right EVERY TIME I went in.
I will NEVER go back to this doctor. And, by the way, the treatments didn't work, iron was low 2 months later.
