"We hired for our wedding at the Forest House and could not have been happier! A true professional, " made both us and our guests feel comfortable and at ease. During the preplanning process he was responsive, personable and easy to work with, any and all of our questions and providing recommendations and perspective throughout. He was easy to schedule time to meet with or to communicate with by email or phone. The day of the wedding, he kept the party moving along. My husband and I teach west coast swing dancing locally, and therefore many of our guests were dancers. Additionally, we had a large family presence of non-dancers. We were looking for a DJ who could balance our diversely skilled crowed and excelled. I literally cannot say enough good things. He is a master of his trade, and I'm still getting compliments from guests who attended. You cannot do better than this guy!

On our very busy day, my new wife and I arrived at our venue
to meet the 200 guests in attendance... The party and music ensued and we had a
great time.

However, sometime ...More during the course of the night, I got word
from both the venue and our wedding planner that the owner of
Promotions ( ) had called and insulted both the venue owner
and our wedding planner because I had forgotten to give the DJ the envelope I
had in my pocket with the $400 cash they requested.

(owner of ) had threatened "If I don't get my $400 now, I will
shut this F****** B**** down now!!" and continued with "you have 10
F****** minutes... starting now!"

Well, my bride got wind of this before I did and spent 45
minutes of HER night trying to
figure out what the issue was.

Later that night, she told me that at one point when she
asked for DJ / DJ M Three to play our requested dance music, he rolled his eyes and asked "and who
are you?” to the only women in the building wearing WHITE!

In addition, Prestige he had called her cell phone
several times and sent both our cell phones threatening and lewd messages.
At the end of the day, whether I forgot to pay or not, that
kind of treatment and service is just not ok and is unacceptable and needless
to say we DO NOT recommend

We met with several ...More times prior to our wedding and the final result was fun, flawless and an amazing party! He played all our favorite songs at the right times and read the crowd perfectly keeping them dancing all night long! In addition to the reception, also worked with me to help prepare and edit a digital piano recording so that I had personalized ceremony music as a gift for my husband. He is very passionate about his craft and was an absolute pleasure to work with. There are a lot of important decisions in wedding planning and choosing the right DJ is essential so that guests have a good time. Choosing was the one choice we never worried about and we were completely confident from the moment we met him that he was the perfect choice for our day. Thank you for everything you did to make our day so special! We would hire again in a heartbeat!!

I told them about the event, how many guests, and the size of the tent we borrowed. He made suggestions on the table size and what would fit comfortably (round vs rectangle tables and chair style/color). He texted me pictures, emailed a quote and several phone calls, emails back/forth to finalize the plans. It was nice to arrange this somewhat informally ...More as I was pressed for time so this worked for me (versus going to an office, signing, etc). We planned for 150 guests and his suggestions were spot on. They arrived and set up the tables where we wanted them and placed a stack of 8 chairs on each table. (We did not pay or request set-up as this is extra). The linens were plastic wrapped, looked and worked perfectly for coverage. The day after, three employees arrived (one was the owner) and they loaded everything up. Extremely professional and very nice guys. This is a family run business. I plan to use them again for my daughters graduation in the spring.

The actual house that is makes for a beautiful reception location especially with the daytime light coming in through the windows. The purpose of this review is to inform other potential customers of our experience so they can know what they might expect should they book this venue. They representative ...More was very friendly when my daughter and her now husband toured the house and during the planning meeting that followed months later. Issues arose though once the last payment was made. During the planning stages my daughter asked about taking home food that was not consumed during the reception and it was explained that food on the buffet had to be thrown away that was on the buffet but food in the kitchen could be packaged for her to take. When I asked the wedding director about this at the reception she told me she had never heard of this and all food was to be thrown away. I asked if she would check on this for me since we had 12 guests who could not come and I didn't want to waste unserved food. She did not get back to me so I found her later and she said they threw everything away. I then asked that she not throw away cake that had been sliced but to please box it so we could take it with us. After asking two more times it was thrown into a heap in one big box. Aside from the cool treatment I received from the wedding director, others beside my husband and myself, notice the staff was very unfriendly. The woman who poured beverages in the bar area seemed put out by requests for tea or soda (the only drinks she had to pour). We received another call this morning from a guest asking about the unfriendly staff. We were also surprised to see that the flowers on the buffet were not what we ordered. At you are required to use their design service and spend a minimum of $425.00 on buffet flowers. In an early meeting my daughter showed the designer the color of the bridesmaids' dresses (light pink0 and listed the flowers for the bouquets and church arrangements. Again, pink. white and a touch of yellow in the center of some smaller flowers. The designer told us that she would stay with that color scheme as well as put it in writing. Instead the reception flowers were bright yellow with some white and included giant sunflowers. This did not suit the color scheme or the fact that my daughter and several bridesmaids are ballet dancers and definitely wanted a romantic feel with pink and white. We were told at this planning meeting that the reception flowers would be boxed at the end of the reception so the would be easy to carry and would travel well in the car. At the conclusion of the reception I asked about the flowers since they had not been removed from the buffet table. The wedding director seemed shocked that I planned to take them then told me they would not be boxed and we could have them as is. We thought maybe she planned on using these same arrangements for the evening wedding especially since they didn't suit our daughter's taste. This is something to keep in mind if you are planning a wedding there. They were large and awkward to carry and transport. Another guest saw this and told us they had their wedding at and flower issues as well. That bride told her final guests to take whatever wanted of the flowers but a sever came up and said she planned to take them to her church her the next day. She was then upset that guest did indeed take arrangements with them. Finally, it is important to know that employees do not help with anything at the conclusion of the wedding. Remaining family and guests must carry everything from wedding to cars and pack it themselves. This is awkward because people are in formal wear and it is important to note their parking lot is gravel so ladies must careful so their heels are not ruined. Again, a beautiful place for a reception but many things to consider before you book this place. My husband and I owned a restaurant and were surprised by the behavior of the staff, the disregard of my daughter's reception flower choices and the waste of unserved food. People who hire the services of this establishment shouldn't be treated as we were. We wanted to inform others of this experience so they know what they may face. I hope employees will read this and perhaps reconsider how they run their business.
