  • Making the decision to put Mischief to sleep was heartbreaking. Being a large, older dog with bad hips and hind legs, it is difficult to get her in the car to go to a traditional vet. We were afraid of causing her additional pain, and I didn't think I'd be able to hold it together emotionally in the waiting room of a traditional vet for that heartbreaking final visit. A mobile vet was the perfect choice.
We made the appointment with Dr Provider name locked. , and she arrived precisely at 10 AM when she said she would. I was in the backyard saying my final goodbyes to Mischief when she pulled up. I think she would have done the euthanasia anywhere, but Mischief insisted on climbing in to her truck (we had to help her up a little). Here is how the procedure itself went: Dr. Action injected Mischief with a shot full of what I think was Valium. It calmed her, and caused her to relax and lie down (she was still fully awake at this point). Then a second shot was given. This one put Mischief into a deep sleep - she was snoring and looked really peaceful. At this point, if you don't want to stay for the final injection, your pet is completely asleep and won't know if you are there or not (I chose to stay, but not everyone may want to). The final injection is inserted directly into the heart, and stops the heart from beating. There's no pain for the dog (the owner is another story), and it looked very peaceful. In fact, I didn't even know the exact point Mischief passed, except for the fact that Dr Provider name locked. put her stethoscope away and stopped listening to Mischief's heart.
Dr Provider name locked. was very professional and compassionate. She answered all of our questions, and explained what was going on each step of the way. The entire charge (including body disposal) was about $235. I suspect this is higher than a traditional vet would charge, but it's so much less stress on you and your pet. No awkward waiting room visits, no having to walk out of the vet's office in tears after the procedure, no additional stress on your pet. It was worth every penny not to have to take Mischief to a traditional vet's office to have this done. If you have a dog that hates the vet, if you hate taking your dog to a traditional vet, or when you have to say that awful final goodbye to your Provider name locked. , I highly recommend this service.

  • No appointments taken, but I walked in near the end of the vets' lunch break (1:30) and there was almost no line; we were seen very quickly.
Dr. Provider name locked. Park was =wonderful=. Prompt, friendly, super professional--filled me with confidence that we'd get through this.
She suggested a barium swallow and an X-Provider name locked. , and check back a few hours later. The clinic apparently is very well-supplied, because all this was done on-site and with a lot of efficiency. When I returned at five, Dr Provider name locked. was able to show me the dozen X-rays they had taken every 30 minutes, which she felt showed that my guy still had some earplugs in him.
Even though it was near closing time, she suggested that they make him vomit to see what came up... she gave him an emetic and up came another ear plug and two of those little felt disks you put under table legs! Who knew!
Then some anti-nausea medicine for the little guy and we were done. She suggested we come back tomorrow for some more looking to see if he still has those last two earplugs, or any socks, screwdrivers or car doors inside of him.
All this for $331!! The exam, the X-rays, the barium, the emetic, the two visits with me... just an incredible value!
I have NOTHING bad to say about the vet we've used in the past---they're great too, but they were all booked up today and I felt I needed to find somewhere else to get my guy in faster... so thanks Agie's LIst for pointing me to Provider name locked. Vet Clinic!
But yup--great clinic, nice facility, FIVE vets so you'll be seen quickly... INCREDIBLE prices... can't say enough about these folks, and Dr Provider name locked. in particular! I and Tookus thank you!!

  • Our dog Provider name locked. was a 10 year old beagle Provider name locked. that we had since he was 6 weeks old. He was diagnosed with osteo sarcoma early in August 2014 and passed away around 1am September 11, 2014. To say we were heart broken would be an under statement. Our vet recommended Provider name locked. and I called Provider name locked. that morning. She is a kind and beautiful spirit that we fell in love with. She treated us and Provider name locked. like family and I would recommend her to anyone.
