"I asked to make an appointment to go over the results of a CT scan to monitor a nodule. The person asked who ordered the CT scan, and I" explained that it was ordered by another pulmonologist. They asked for the name of the other pulmonologist. I explained that I was not satisfied with the care I was getting from my current pulmonologist and wanted go to another doctor. The person told me that Dr. was unwilling to take a patient who already had a pulmonologist. They wanted to know why I wanted to change doctors. I explained that the pulmonologist that I went to did not remember me when I returned after 1 month. She did not seem to remember things that I said during the visit with me. She also stated I was taking a larger of inhaled steroid than was recommended by the manufacturer. When I looked it up later, that was incorrect. She also had a difficult time comparing CT images taken on different dates with each other. This was the reason I went to her to begin with, since my internal medicine doc was not able to do that. Also, her office kept insisting that I have a chest X- before being seen, even though I had just had a CT scan of my chest. I explained that it was unnecessary, since the CT scan provided even more info. Even with this info, Dr. was unwilling to see me since the other pulmonologist was at the same medical center. The person explained that he did not want to appear to be taking the patients of other doctors at that medical center.
