  • My infant enjoys going there. I only have experience with this daycare so I really have nothing else to compare it to. I think they could probably do a better job by having a structured curriculum of some sort but I know it's hard with babies.

  • My Children (ages 3 and 1) have been going for about a year now.  They loved going to "school", that's what we called it.  We only did 3 days a week and the price was approx. $500 a month.  Which is a very good deal for a Mother's Day Out program.  I met all the teachers for all of the age groups and they all seemed nice and had a planned schedule for every day.  They offered lunches a couple days a week.  Everything was going great until a couple months ago.
My oldest daughter had started acting strange, well beyond her normal attitude and personality.  We just thought that she was acting out or just being a kid.  But today when I picked them up from MDO and put them n the car she said "School grabbed my arm."  I wasn't quite sure what to think so i asked her to what she meant.  I asked "did one of the kids grab your arm while playing?" she said "no."  So i asked "Did your teacher grab your arm?"  She replied with "Yeah, teacher grabbed my arm today."  I asked why and she just restated that the teacher grabbed her arm (remember she is just 3 so its sometimes hard to get info out of a 3 year old).  I was very worried at that point.
We went ahead and went home and waited about 3 hours to ask again.  I asked if she had to go to time-out today and she said yes.  I said "Is that when the teacher grabbed your arm?"  She said "Yes."  I asked "Do you or other kids cry at school sometimes."  She said "Yeah, I cry sometimes."  I followed that with, "Did you cry when the teacher grabbed your arm?"  She looked down at the floor and looked scared/sad and said "Yes."
There is a very slight bruise on her arm where she says it hurts.  I am in no way of saying they abuse the children, And this could just be the one teacher that was in the class at that time.  I know out younger child LOVES her class and is extremely excited every day I drop her off.  I am very sad to have to remove them from this MDO.  I personally think they may be a little aggressive with a child for not listening to them (or in other words... a child being a child).  We do not use physical punishment at home.  No spanking or any other form of physical punishment.  We have timeout corner and it works very well.  I have no problems with them being put in timeout at school, but they don't need their arm grabbed so hard it leaves a small bruise.  They could hold their had and walk them to the timeout chair or carry them if they do not cooperate with the teacher.
She has also been terrified of the potty since they have been trying to potty train her. I am not sure of their technique, but she was sitting on the potty all the time at home before they started trying to get her to use the potty there.  We have removed our children from the Provider name locked. Mother's Day Out program and will not be recommending them to anyone else.

  • I just moved to the NW side of the City and called Child Time. They were able to make an appointment with me, my husband and child on the same day. Provider name locked. is just wonderful. They made my toddler feel welcome and would address our concerns whenever my husband would call during the day to check on our son. My son comes back home happy, though I do feel guilty for having to take him to daycare.
