    HELENA'S TAILOR & ALTERATIONS
My daughter told the person she got the quote from that she needed the bodice of her gown altered and she needed it shortened. We were told over the phone it would be $85 dollars. I knew it was. Too good to be true so I was prepared to pay more because I knew my daughter had not explained the detail of the dress. We made an appointment for 10 am. We waited 30 minutes for Jessica to arrive. No big deal. By the time we left, the 5 layers that had to be altered, a bustle had to be added, and the bodice and bead work were up to $285. Thats just the way it is. When we came back for the final fitting appointment, we had to wait again for 30 minutes. The work was excellent. The dress fits perfectly! They charged us another $15 to steam the dress which will be waisted because the wedding was 2 weeks away and it will have to be resteamed anyway. I would use them again if I needed something altered and I was lucky that they fit us in.

    COVENANT BROTHERS CUSTOM Tailors
He was very nice until I asked about the price. There were several more holes than I thought and the sweater only cost 125.00. The minute I asked he said rude things and started taking the pin markers off the sweater. Then I left!

    J & M Tailor Shop
I've had Jafar Ogaghi at J&M Tailor shop (31st and N. Penn) perhaps a dozen times over the years, and every time I've been amazed at the results, amazed at the turnaround time, and amazed at the low price!
He runs a completely professional expert tailor shop, BUT he can do the work as fast as you need it--in one hour or less if you ask.
He is friendly, formal, and just a great man to work with--the epitome of an old-fashioned tailor, and does wonderful work.

    LESLEY TAILORS BY OAI TRAN
They are local, and they have been there a long time. My wife's family had used them in the past, and I couldn't find their name. My wife passed away 4 years ago, and I have since lost touch with the family, and felt strange calling them, so I looked them up and found them. They are real nice people, and they cater to a real rich neighborhood, and they do a lot of good work. I had 2 interviews back to back, and so they did one pant, and they did the other pant in a rush.

    Hour Tang
She did a great job. I looked her up, called her and went over there. She did it in one day. It was excellent service. I used her one time. She was professional and fast. She was reasonable. She did an excellent job. I didn't have any complaints. She is on my list and I will use her again.

    Nhan's Tailor Shop
My pants came back too short and too long. One pair had visibly uneven legs. They refused to make them right. I should have checked Angie's List first...now I have to pay someone else to fix them.
No "store credit" was given by either the tailor or Master Cleaners to me, nor did the tailor offer to re-do the hems (read response by tailor below). I have since read poor reviews on both businesses and will never return to either.

    Peek-A-Bootique
Took in a Christmas stocking I had purchased , taken in shortly after the holidays.  It took over FOUR MONTHS for this young lady to monogram 4 letters.  I made numerous trips to pick it up, shop helper had several excuses why it wasn't done.  Shop owner was never there to discuss with her.  Very poor attitude when finally questioned regarding this situation.  Caution when using her monogramming services.

    Mr Se's Tailor
I have been using Mr. Se's for 4 years. She has remembered my name since about the second time I came in. I have been happy with everything I have had done there for me and my husband. Rates are extremely reasonable and turn around time is always good. I would recommend them for any alterations. This is the kind of place you establish a relationship with and stay with forever!

    CHANH'S TAILOR SHOP
Her work is good quality and at a low-price. She is doing something for me right now that I'm supposed to pick up any day. I don't know the cost yet but it's never over maybe $10 for hemming or taking something in.

    Alterations by Sarah
Overall, it went okay, although we had to wait quite a while for assistance as the only person working was busy discussing installing a security system with another individual. We did get the garment back when promised and they did do a good job. I would recommend them for alterations. It seemed like they did a lot of bridal and prom dress business.
