  • The movers were supposed to start move at 8:00A.M, Friday 7/31. They arrived at 11:00AM. They wanted to be paid up front. We gave them $575 up front with the rest to be paid after the 2nd move.They then left to get more boxes and lunch and did not come back for 3 hours. They worked until 9:00 PM but did not finish. The apartment was supposed to be vacated by 6PM Friday so had to get an extension until noon Sat. They didn't show up Saturday morning. Tried to call the number the mover gave us but there was no answer. Tried to send texts. Finally called the number given on website yellow pages and talked to someone in Provider name locked. . He pulled up the contract and said they did not charge enough.Called him back several times during the day and asked that he contact the owner. He said the movers were on other jobs but would finish by Sat. night. They never showed or called. Saturday night, at 8:00PM,  we had to get someone else to pack up and move the remaining furniture and had to store it at varius friend's houses. Sunday, we called the number given and were given the owners number. We tried that all day and called the website number again only to be cussed out and called many obscene names and told not to call his number again. Heard nothing until Monday after we mentiined that we had sent the phone copy of the contract and receipt for payment to our lawyer and he said that if we did not have contact we would have to take them to court for breach of contract and theft of belongings. The owner finally called and said his mailbox was full so he didn't get any messages. They had OTHER moves Sat. that HAD to be completed. A date to pick up the furniture and move it into the house was made for Saturday morning at 10:30AM - 12:00 on 8/8. We asked that they pick up the furniture WE had to store also since they should have packed and stored it. At 12:00 we had not heard from them or seen them and could not get in contact with anyone again. At 3:00 P.M., we had to get people to move the furniture we had stored and move it into the house ourselves. After calling the lawyer again, he said to leave a text message and tell them we were calling the police in half hour for theft of belongings. We almost immediately had a call back from --the manager. Were told that they would want to be paid in cash at time of move it would cost more. We reminded him of the original price and that we should subtract money for the moving and storing we had to do since they did not complete the move. At 3:30, we were called and told that we would have to meet them at the Storage Site and pay them in cash before they would put the furniture on the truck. When we got there, there was a Budget rental truck, 3 movers, and a black car with the owner and manager. I - the 68 year old mother, had the cash and infrmed the owner that he would get half of the remaining amount contracted for after the furniture was on the truck, and the other half when it was moved into the house. That there would be no extra unless he wanted to see us in court for breach of contract and showed him the phone copy my son was smart enough to take since they never gave us a paper copy as requested. I don't think they were ready to take on a 68 year old woman and believe the outcome might have been different if I had not gone along. Of course they claimed this had never happened before and that they were sorry - but they didn't offer to take anything off the cost for not completing thei move out.

  • I've moved numerous times during a long military career, including several moves in the Provider name locked. /Virginia Beach area.  Provider name locked. was BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD WITH A MOVING COMPANY, EVER.  Provider name locked. and his team were absolute professionals and jumped through a number of hoops to make sure my needs were met.  I contracted them on short notice to make a one-day move from a storage unit in Virginia Beach to an apartment at my new duty station in Provider name locked. , DC.  They responded quickly to my inquiry and quoted me a price well below what I thought I would have to pay.  When the day of the move came, they arrived on time and ready to work.  They worked quickly but carefully, and Provider name locked. (the owner) was personally on hand to supervise the move.  Every member of the moving team was courteous, professional, and hard-working.  Because I was arranging this as a "do it yourself" move through the military, I needed Provider name locked. to have the truck weighed several times and provide me with the weight tickets so that I could be reimbursed for my moving expenses.  Provider name locked. went out of his way (literally, when several of the weigh stations were closed) to make sure that I had all the documentation I needed for my moving expense claim.  At the end of the day, all my property was safely in my new apartment with zero damage and a couple of days later I had an itemized receipt from Provider name locked. exactly as we had agreed.  I had no trouble at all getting reimbursed for my moving expenses.  I would absolutely recommend Provider name locked. and Provider name locked. to anyone looking to make a move within the Provider name locked. /Virginia Beach area, or within a few hours of it.  They made this move easy for me, and I greatly appreciated that.
