    Tile With Style
I contacted at least 6 tile installers before finding Tile with Style. Jeremy was by far the most responsive and took more than 20 minutes on our first call to ask questions about the job and educate me about the materials he uses and why they might be slightly more expensive upfront, but worth it over the life of the floor. He is definitely committed to staying up-to-date new products available and industry recommendations. His estimate was also the most transparent, in that he broke down everything from the cost of the pattern we chose, to every last material needed for the job, where others just lumped those into "installation materials." He was more than accommodating to order and pick up the tile we had already chosen. Jeremy and his team were meticulous in installation and I would have honestly trusted them to enter my house without me present if schedules didn't align. I highly recommend Tile with Style based on the quality of the materials they use and standard they hold themselves to when it comes to installation. (Cost of service does not include tile.)

    Stafford & Son Builders
This is the 2nd time we have used Tom Stafford and his crew for renovations. The redid our 2nd floor 3.5 years ago (review for that also on Angie's List). This time we needed a lot of other things done to prep the house for sale. As usual, they did a spectacular job. Could not be happier with responsiveness and quality of work. We will definitely be using again on our new house!!

    Stafford & Son Builders
Tom and his team provided a complete restoration of our kitchen (exclusive of replacing cabinets - but that actually made their job harder as existing needed to be leveled to accommodate counters) and the master bathroom, which was gutted and redone completely (except for toilet, vanities and sinks, which were retained and reinstalled). We also had some custom millwork done in several locations to enhance or correct defects in existing. For instance, they completed a custom sliding door over a niche in the bathroom - we provided the specs and had the door made and Tom's carpenter adapted the hanging system to accommodate as well as custom finishing the niche shelves and surround. Throughout the process, Tom communicated updates and managed craftsmen and painters to ensure efficient and mostly seamless execution We are happy not only with the quality of the work but the time and interest Tom paid in discussing the progress and adjusting to changes made as we identified more work as initial work progressed. The entire effort was about 8 weeks onsite (not counting addressing a few punch list items - which Tom had taken care of to our complete satisfaction). We are very happy with the result and are looking forward to have Tom and team work with us to do some work in the living and bedroom areas of the house in the near future. While Tom was not the lowest quote we received for the work, this is a definite example of getting what you pay for as far as both the quality of the product and the relative seamlessness of execution.

    Dycarp LLC
I know this review is a long one, but bear with me if you are seriously considering Dycarp for any of your carpet needs. Above all else when it comes to this company: DONT BOTHER. This company doesnt have time for keeping a tidy office let alone answering phone calls or customer questions. The office and carpet showroom were in shambles. Among the piles of junk were stacks of adult and childrens clothing, a childs mattress, a bed frame, and many many unlabeled and unorganized carpet samples. Piles of paperwork littered the office and made for an uncomfortable experience. All work goes through Debbie the owner/manager who is never in the office or able to take calls. Common/ordinary questions are even too much for the highly incapable staff. On average it took 1-2 weeks to receive a call back depending upon whether or not you (the customer) called to remind them or check in. Expect to receive lots of sass from anyone that you speak too. We received multiple incorrect estimates throughout the 4 months that we dealt with them. In those estimates were mistakes that included the wrong brand of carpet, incorrect room measurements, incorrect customer name, additional carpet/padding that wasnt needed, and we also received two estimates for a completely different person. For our job the work and payments were reviewed and approved by our insurance. Dycarp tried to dupe the insurance company by charging them twice for the same work. When we brought the issue up with Debbie, she told us, Well just send it anyway and see what happens. We said no to that idea; she sent it anyway, and our insurance noticed. This company is completely dishonest and untrustworthy. On countless occasions we were told emails would be sent immediately or had already been sent, never to receive them. When we would call back about the nonexistent email several hours later, they would magically resend it in a brand new email (no resending the old one they never sent) and only then would it show up. We gave this company so many chances they truly didnt deserve when ultimately, they decided to stop working with us. Why? Because our insurance sent them a check and for two weeks we called to see if they had received it. Our insurance told us the check had cleared, but Dycarp maintained that they had never received it. Our insurance needed Dycarp to look into their bank statements immediately to make sure they hadnt in fact cashed the checks, as if they had not it could be a matter of fraud. Instead of showing any concern or urgency, or attempting to look into the matter any further, after a full day of trying to reach Debbie, she only returned our call when we said that we would come into the office to speak face to face. It was during this call back at 30 minutes before the office closed that she told us we spoke to her staff unpleasantly. We told her we had waited a full week, let alone the full current day, and were understandably upset but nothing more when speaking to her employees. She then told us that we called too much, and she didnt like the way our insurance approved of our claim. And that was that. The end of a terrible relationship. I know this review has been a long one, but I leave it for good reason. I worry that a family will be put into a position like ours. Did I mention that we have gone a month without carpet or carpet pad in our master bedroom and stairs landing? If you dont want to be the next negative review left for this company, do yourself a favor and dont let a single person from Dycarp into your home for an estimate. The time and work that you put into your own carpet needs will be more than they are ever willing to do in office.

    Stafford & Son Builders
I can not say enough good things about Stafford and Sons. Highly recommend!!. We have hired Tom twice now and are very satisfied with his work. We remodeled the kitchen, full bathroom, half bath and the family room. We are very satisfied with the outcome. Tom is very straight forward and honest about everything; he does not try and sell you on anything and allows you to make the best decision. Tom will also work with you on your schedule. his crew is on time and works around you. they clean up and make sure everything is clean. If I have any more work Tom will be the first and only person I will call. Thanks again Tom.

    First Quality Contracting LLC
Geoff Byers transformed my kitchen far beyond my imagination and gave me a drool-worthy master bathroom that captures the attention of all who see it. I first contacted him with my idea for moving the refrigerator back into the kitchen from the pantry/utility room where the previous owner put it, relocating the washer & dryer, and making one of two bathrooms wheelchair accessible (for potential future needs). After asking him whether I was wasting my time and money or not, Geoff presented me with a few alternative designs a couple weeks later. We went from there. The work included tearing out a small bathroom; demolishing a brick fireplace from chimney down to subfloor foundation; relocating sliding glass doors and the hot water heater; walling off two doorways and creating four new ones; and reconfiguring the pantry/utility room into a nice laundry area, utility closet, and short hallway. Geoff used the space from the small bathroom tearout to expand the original kitchen area. He added the space from the demolished fireplace to what was left from the general kitchen area to create a brand new master bathroom with attached large closet. (Dont worry-- he put a wall between the new kitchen and bathroom!) The kitchens new footprint now allows for double the cabinet space that I had before, an additional pantry cabinet, and room for a table and chairs. It also includes two beautiful garden windows. Oh, and the refrigerator is in there, too. The new master bathroom includes a double vanity and a curbless tiled shower. Originally planned to have glass doors, the shower is so largeseriously, its big enough for three peoplethat the doors became unnecessary. The attached clothes closet is nearly the size of the small bathroom that was torn out to expand the kitchen. Geoffs experience and background enable him to offer design ideas or troubleshoot your own. Additionally, he is not shy about telling you what he thinks about your plans if you ask him. If yours is the only job that he has scheduled at the time, Geoff will be on-site every day, all day, and actively working. Even when jobs overlap, you will see him regularly. If he hits an unexpected roadblock, he has the know-how to blow through it with minimal delayor none at all. He has one primary assistant, and the plumber, electrician, and drywall person that he uses are skilled and respectful. If you are interested in a summary of the work that has been accomplished each day, Geoff will patiently walk you through a show and tell before he leaves. Just let him know that is what you want. He will also tell you what the future steps arefor the next day, the next week, or the project overall. Furthermore, he is quick to respond to any communications that you send him. Texting worked best for us. I am extremely pleased with the work that Geoff did and the dreamy spaces that he created for me. They far exceed anything that I could have imagined when I first began to look for a contractor. You too will be happy with the final results if you hire him. Geoff Byers is the increasingly rare contractor who is extremely skilled at what he does and refreshingly ethical in his treatment of the client.

    StairCase Creations
This stair remodel and door repair was, per contract, to begin on November 1st and take 3 days to complete. Work finally began on December 5th. Now, approximately 6 weeks after the job was to have been completed: -Robs subcontractor quit on him due to not being reimbursed for work completed. -Our deposit check of $1,924 was given to Rob on October 17th. Of note, he cashed it on the very same day. Rob has stated on several occasions that he no longer has the funds to move forward with the project, because when business was slow (between when he cashed our check on October 17th, and when work started on December 5th) he used our money to fund other projects. He has asked us several times for further pay advances despite the contract stating that the final 2/3 of the labor is due at project completion. -Only 6 of the treads and risers have been installed thus far, which continue to squeak and creak. This was our absolute #1 concern going into this project. Contract language: Repair cause of squeaky steps. -If the current design plans continue, the steps, which previously met code, no longer will. Specifically, code states that individual risers within a run of stairs will not vary in height by more than 3/8 inches. -Safety hazards currently include: All balusters have been removed, which poses a fall risk for both our active puppy as well as for the children of visiting family and friends; a hole due to a broken board on one of the landings which has not been covered; and flimsy 1/2 plywood which are serving as 2 of our treads since the original treads have been removed. -Cut the hall carpet too short at the top of the stairs, which will now have to be patched or replaced. -Large trash pile, to include boards with nails, that has been at the front of our house since work began, causing one neighbor to gently complain. Thus far, we have not been cited by the city for this. -Unreliable: We have juggled our schedules on multiple days to be here for meetings, measurements, work, etc, often resulting in no-shows. -At the time this review was written, Rob hasnt returned our phone calls in over 5 days. Other issues, such as the ongoing dust causing both of us and our puppy to experience frequent allergic symptoms, as well as having to reschedule visits from friends and alter our Christmas plans since our home is unsafe and unpresentable, are difficult to put a price tag on.

Never before have I been so disappointed with any work I have contracted out. Not only did they ruin our stairs, and we are currently paying someone else to come out and fix them, all of our floors came out extreamly splotchy. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional group of people. They smoked in our home and left trash all over the place, including monster cans littering our yard. Might as well just burn your money if you use this company. The moment they finished work, after they had to come back out because they even missed staining a few spots on our floor, they immediately started hounding my for final payment on and Saturday and Sunday. Not a workday. And threatened to immediately turn it over to creditors and report me to my command, not 24 hours after they left our home. Im so shocked and disgusted by this unprofessionalism. This was all after they showed up late each of the work days.

I had a problem. They weren't able to get all of their parts on time. It took over a month for the install. I don't think it's their fault. I would give them straight A's. I thought the quality work was excellent.
