  • He was told the problem over the phone and told me he was bringing the part with him. We arranged for an appointment the next day and he was late I had to call him to find out when he was coming or if he was coming. When he arrived he did not have the part but instead tried to fix it, which was not we agreed to and when he couldn't fix it he said he had to order the part and it would be in 2 days later on Friday and that he would call me at 11:00 am to let me know what time he would be coming in that day. I waited and called him at 12:00 ppm Friday and he said he had to pick up the part and would call me back in 30 min. That did not happen and I have been trying to reach him all day with no call back or updated I am going to move on to another repair guy. Odd thing is he wanted cash or check were the check was to be made out to cash. I believe he is also listed under Howard's Repair and has several Company Names and as he gets blacklisted he goes to the next one, hence the reason for cash. DO NOT USE HIM VERY UNRELIABLE !!!

  • He was great. He diagnosed my problem, explained exactly what I needed which was a new unit and offered to install it if that service was not included where I made my purchase. There was no charge. It was a pleasure dealing with him.

  • Sears Home Services 13200 Smith Road Middleburg Heights, Ohio 44130 I live in NY, and hired Sears Home Services to repair a microwave that was no longer heating food consistently. After reaching out via Angies list, I called to setup the appointment for August 2017. The cost was $216.88 (after coupon from $249 regular price). This was a flat rate fee to include everything (including multiple trips), exclusive of parts as the appliance was out of warrantee. A technician did arrive on that date. However, during his attempt to fix the problem, he broke an ADDITIONAL piece and failed to fix the microwave. He indicated he would return on 8/14/2017 to complete the job after I received the broken part from them. Subsequent to his departure on 8/1/2017, I concluded I was no longer confident in the services being provided and took the following steps: 1. That evening I called to cancel the 8/14/2017 appointment. I was told to call the next day as the job had not yet been posted. 2. On 8/2/2017 I called to cancel the 8/14/2017 appointment. 3. On 8/12/2017 I received an email form Brian S confirming the cancellation of current service order. 4. On 8/13/2017 I received a call to confirm the 8/14/2017 appointment. I informed you that I had cancelled it (attempt #3). 5. On 8/14/2017 I received a call from the technician who indicated he was at my building for the microwave. I informed him I had cancelled it several times and he would not be allowed access to my building. The following week I had a local repair company come and fix the microwave. In November, I started receiving a bill of $115.92 to cover a technician that showed up on 8/14/2017, which I have been sending certified letters back and forth since that is what they indicated was required to dispute. Each time they indicate I need to pay or dispute as they cannot remove the charge. The bottom line, I have lost hours and hours of time trying to resolve a false charge where the company never fixed the appliance, but still they were paid. I have email proof from Sears Home Repairs that the 8/14 follow-up was cancelled and I made it clear in each communication I wanted no further part in their services. I strongly recommend no-one ever do further business with this sham of a company.

  • I've been working with Amtech for well over a decade. The owners are professional affable and down to earth. I actually consider them pals at this point however I am objective ; always professional, the people who work for them are polite focused and respectful of their work environment. I appreciate the fact that the owner, Arik, is very hands-on and often accompanies his employees to oversee the work being done. And he himself has shown up with assistant to take care of a problem. I also enjoy be fact that there is an open dialogue to figure out solutions that are economical and swift. A company I intend to work with for a long time ahead.

  • We have never worked with someone else who is as knowledgeable, clean and pleasant. I can honestly say that if work needs to be done in our home and he isn't available, we are willing to wait. With other people you don't know what kind of service you might get but with him it's above and beyond. We are thankful for all of the help he has given us over the years in maintaining our apartment.

  • It wasn't worth fixing after they determined what was wrong (bad magnatron). I had had home depot the day before who told me they couldn't take out the microwave because of cabinet molding. Robert asked if they tried. I said no. He offered to see if he could take it out. With some maneuvering he was able to take it out and he even took it for me. Now I know they can install a new one because I saw how he took it out. He was very helpful.

  • I called and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. About a half hour later I got a call from their repairman saying he could come the same day I called. He was professional, worked quickly and showed me what the problems were and how he fixed them. He had all the parts he needed (in his tool chest or nearby van), which was great. They were here for less than an hour.

  • They never showed up. I called 3 times - at about the mid-point of their arrival window, towards the end of the window, and after the window had closed. I was transferred to dispatch each time, where I got a voice mail each time. On my fourth try, about an hour after the window had come and gone, I insisted on speaking with a human who said, "oh, we tried to reach you. We have no technicians today. We won't be coming." She did not offer an alternate time or day. Not what I would expect from an Angie's List company.

  • After doing extremely little apart from placing his hand in the drum I was asked fior USD 700 for a new drum, I sent the repairman away for a second opinion. Another company visited, the belt had come loose from its holders, a charge of USD 200. I am truly disgusted that repairmen come to Manhattan, see a woman and think it's easy money. I would not recommend this company at all.
