  • Nina at Dependable Shutter was exceptionally responsive and wonderful to work with. We explained the issues, sent several photographs for evaluation and Eisman was assigned to the project. He performed a thorough, expert assessment, explaining everything that would be needed to complete the repairs. This is an unusual and atypical installation -- access to the motors is difficult and the repairs were especially complex -- but Eisman completed the project with great skill and professionalism. We will be counting on Dependable for all future maintenance, repairs and replacement as needed. They have our confidence and highest recommendation.

  • Roy, the Lamp Surgeon, rewired the lamp, but a week later it blew out another bulb. Roy did not have a solution to the problem when I called to tell him that another bulb blew out after he had rewired the lamp. We had to replace the lamp.

When small mistakes were made and/or misunderstandings occurred they were always quickly addressed and remedied. The entire project took over a year, and there was never an odd moment or stalemare during that period - which sets this company apart from most contractors I’ve worked wih over the past 25 years in NYC.

  • Secure Shred called when they were on the way and arrived promptly. The young man came to my apartment and loaded my papers into a bin. I went with him curbside where I watched my papers being pulverized. I appreciate that the shredded paper is then recycled into commercial paper products. I am pleased with the service and do highly recommend Secure Shred.

  • My advice is to carefully monitor the installer's work, especially insuring they fully explain the TV remote operations which nowadays are non-intuitive and complex. I have not had any trouble with their actual hanging of the TV's on the wall. The problem with this company is that the installers ( I've used them 3 times) must be under pressure to spend as little time with you as they can so they can to move on to the next job. For example, the installer got 4 cell calls about other jobs when he was working on my TV. I am assuming this is why he left without properly showing me how my remote worked. I literally couldn't work the TV. Prior to leaving, the installer exposed a mesh of wires and was going to leave them visible and dangling. When I asked him about this,.he said he didn't have the proper material to cover the wires. When I told him that the whole idea is to hide the wires he said he actually did have the needed covering material but it was in his car. I asked him if he would get it and he did. But he wasn't going to cover my wires until I specifically asked him to get the covering from the car.

  • It was great! Serenity arrived on time. Wrapped the furniture carefully and meticulously to protect against damage. Moved it out and to the next location carefully and promptly. It was all finished surprisingly quickly. The whole process went extremely smoothly. Wonderful experience. Definitely will use them again.

  • He replaced the power board. TV was OK for a few hours. Problem returned. He had to order a new motherboard. Problem returned within an hour. No response to my calls and texts. $1500 wasted. Should have just bought a new TV.

  • It worked well for almost 6 months, then it started having the same problem, so I took it back under warranty. They refused to honor their warranty and asked me to pay for the repair that they botched again. I was frustrated.
