  • Dr. Provider name locked. was friendly and pleasant in a professional way. He listened to my concerns—I had a strange skin condition on my eyelids that caused discomfort and seemed to make my eyesight blurry. Blurry eyesight was causing me to take longer to read things in normal-size type (say, that of the text of a newspaper) at a normal distance (say, 12 inches), which was affecting my job as well as the rest of my life. He then gave me a thorough eye examination. He explained what the condition was on my eyelids (blepharitis) and explained how it causes blurring. He also explained that though my vision was good overall and very good for distance, I might be having difficulty with focus near-distance, specifically for reading. He gave me a piece of paper with some normal-size text on it to read to him, and I struggled to read it, waiting for my eyes to adjust focus. Then he gave me a pair of glasses to put on and the same piece of paper to read. I could see the text clearly immediately. So, I realized, near-focus for reading had become a difficulty for me; blepharitis wasn't the only issue. I  immediately knew that I wanted glasses for reading, for work, to save time when reading and to avoid mistakes, and for the rest of my life, so I can see clearly immediately in any situation.
Dr. Provider name locked. thoroughly explained and demonstrated the therapy for the skin on my eyelids. He gave me a printout of his instructions to take with me, and the printout information included what I needed to buy, which was over the counter. He told me to arrange a followup visit with the assistant and approximately when the visit should be. And he gave me a prescription for lenses. His office sells a very nice selection of frames. He may have mentioned that I could check out frames in the reception area, but if he did, he said it in a for-your-convenience way rather than in a sales way. I'm not sure that he said anything to me about the frames for sale. But I checked them out, and there was a pair that I thought were just beautiful, so I bought them and ordered my glasses there.
The condition on my eyelids improved immediately, and that was confirmed in the followup visit. I was told when I placed my order that the glasses could take two weeks to prepare, and that the office would call me when they were ready. Within a week, I received a call that the glasses were ready.
The visits with Dr. Provider name locked. were very pleasant and very informative. Also, he would ask if I had questions. I have an improved eyelid condition not only from the treatment but also from the information Dr. Provider name locked. gave me. In addition, I am thrilled with the glasses: In any situation, I can see clearly immediately. I like how the glasses look, too.

  • I've been going there 30+- years and saw Provider name locked. ,  the dad, and am now seeing Provider name locked. , his son.  They are in partnership.  I had Provider name locked. surgery by Provider name locked. and it turned out great. I went there before then with an eye disease caused by a thyroid disease and they took care of it.  I give them high ratings and will continue to go there.

  • I want to protect others from experiencing the abusive and offensive manner of the proprietors of Provider name locked. 's Provider name locked. . We have been customers for about 15 years, and must have spent 5 digits in this place since then. Our last visit was the most revealing: Provider name locked. 's contempt for his customers is startling. Maybe that's harsh. Maybe it's just a personality disorder. At first, Provider name locked. will Provider name locked. you with kindness, smile a lot, tell you about his 9/11 experience. Over time he will become impatient with you if you have any complaints about your glasses; as he becomes more and more defensive, he becomes more and more belligerent. Despite his claims to guarantee his work, nothing is ever his fault. We feel like we've been in an abused relationship and now we're glad we're out. On top of Provider name locked. 's own defensive and belligerent behavior, his wife is downright nasty, often without cause. We do like Provider name locked. but hope he finds another job. We are easy going people who want to support local businesses, but we are outta here. You deserve better for your $1500. The details: we came in to buy new glasses. He took great care, examining the prescription, even sending me for a second opinion for my prescription. Somewhere in the hubbub, a staff member (who is respectful and easy to work with) wanted to clean up and straighten out my old glasses. In the process the lens became impaired in some way; in a way that was not immediately clear to me. He asked if he could keep them overnight and work on them the next day. The next day my old glasses were cloudy and I was unable to see out of them. I was perturbed but could not get a straight answer. After two weeks of walking around in these old glasses, my new ones were ready. At the end of our visit, just about done with the fitting, etc., I brought up this problem again. Instead of explaining what happened (apparently, Provider name locked. tried to fix the coating on the glasses and in attempting to do this, in good faith, he messed up the lens. But never fessed up, so I didn't know) he berated me for "terrorizing' his staff by bringing this topic up over and over again. My plan had been to raise the issue and then ask him how much it would cost to replace these lenses with inexpensive ones so I could use the glasses as a back up. But he just came at me, scolding me and interrupting me in front of other customers. Truth be told, I also lost it because I could not believe he was attacking someone who just dropped $1300 on a new pair of glasses. When I wanted to just leave without finishing the transaction, he threatened not to give me my money back. Anyway, it was just a terrible way to treat customers, even disappointed ones. How he maintains this business, I do not know. But he's lost our four-person, eyeglass wearing family for good, that's for sure. I hope Provider name locked. checks Angie's list and reads this review, so he can understand why I was inquiring about these ruined glasses. I'm not sure what he was afraid I'd want, but his behavior was at best irresponsible and at worst psychopathic! Stay away from Provider name locked. 's Provider name locked. .
