  • We have been doing business with Provider name locked. , owner and operator of The Provider name locked. for over ten years when he was originally located on 51st Street in Turtle Bay, NYC.

    This started as a storefront business but some years ago adopted a "route based" operational model where everything is picked up and delivered. This company is flexible and responsive to pickup and delivery times and needs and may be reached by phone or text and always responds promptly. Provider name locked. is more than willing to show up on short notice.

    It seems to us that this is something of an "insider's" business since a lot of the work they do is for luxury hotels, linen and chef's coats etc. for top restaurants, VIPs, media types and other unusual or specific jobs.

    There are some dry cleaners who are better known but none who do a better job.

    Prices are also fair, considering the care that it taken with each and every item.

  • They are good. I use them on a regular basis. I started using their services when I moved into the neighbourhood. Two things that stand out about their services are the quality of their work, particularly their tailoring. I am short, so I have to have my pants shortened. They do not need to measure me any more. They have it in their computer. I send the pants off, they come back, they get delivered to my house shortened according to the information in their computer. Recently, I had two jackets and a raincoat; the sleeves had to be shortened. They pinned them up unused. They are very good with that. They are very nice people. You walk in and it is like old friend. They are very efficient. Even though there are many people in there, husband and wife and couple of other people working there, they drop what they are doing to attend to people who come in there, rather then ignoring you. They are always pleasant. They are smart. They are savvy. They look in their computers, and when you say I want it cleaned, I want this and I want that, they are immediately on it. You do not have to mention everything most of the times. They seem to have a positive attitude towards their work, which is very good. In terms of punctuality, whenever I leave something, which is frequently, it will come back two days later. Even if it is shortening of sleeves or something like that, they give it back. Once I was very upset for a wedding. The top was stretched, which was very hard to alter. It was too big. It was very complicated. However, they did it. You would not know that it is been altered. It was fine. I was very pleased. I did not know whether they would be able to do it or not, but they were able to. That was several years ago. They deliver, which I love. They seem to do good business. I know lot of people who use them, have them deliver. They go and drop it off and they even pick up. However, for me it is easier to drop it off. They leave it with the doorman of the building when it is due.

  • We used Provider name locked. , the Greenwich Street NYC location, for more than a year. In general we were pleased with the overall quality of the cleaning service and we really wanted to use an 'organic'/non-perc service. Clothing was cleaned and pressed well and most stains were successfully removed. We used their pick-up and delivery service, so we packed the items in their bag and they picked the bag up from us. We have a doorman so I cannot say how punctual they were, but generally, if our items were promised on a specific day, then we received them that day. However, the business has a significant inventory management problem. For us it started after about 6 months with the loss of one shirt. They found that shirt after about a week. Then about a month later, they lost another shirt which they were never able to find. No compensation or addmission of guilt was ever offered. Then they lost half of the shirts we sent to them - 6 shirts - in one go. These were Provider name locked. Pink shirts, not inexpensive items, of which three were brand new worn twice and for which I had the purchase receipts still. Because we had them pickup i did not have a receipt from Provider name locked. (normally given to us at delivery) so Provider name locked. was able to claim that we did not give them the shirts. No appologies, no compensation, no redress whatsoever. I spoke to managers and i wrote to the owner of the company. I received no response whatsoever. I do not know if they have organization issues or theft issues, but I will never use them again. Cleaning ability is moot if you can't get your clothes back.
