Awning Installation reviews in New York

We hired Provider name locked. , owner of Provider name locked. to strip old paint from moldings and doors, skim coat walls then paint the apartment. He showed up very late, one of his workers spent the night in the apartment making noise resulting in complaints from neighbors. Our board president and the super had to go there in the middle of the night to see what was going on. His crew had no idea what they were doing and had little guidance un use of chemical strippers. They failed to properly protect floors, faucets, appliances and smeared a sludge of stripper and old paint all over the apartment. They began skim coating walls without first applying bonding agent which will result in failure of the plaster within a few years. The day before the job was supposed to be done, Provider name locked. fired them and sent them away, we lost $5325 paid up front out of $8050 and will have to pay another contractor $13500 to clean up the mess and start over then may have to have the floors refinished as they now have paint and stripper all over them. The only two pieces of furniture that were in the apartment, two barstools have paint and stripper residue on them and will be thrown out. Our apartment is a toxic waste dump now and we can't live in it for another three weeks, and have to pay for storage and temporary housing. Using Provider name locked. has been an awful experience.
P.S. I'll be glad to provide photographs of the work at the beginning, the day he was kicked out and the beautiful work being done now by the new contractor who took over the job. More has been done in three days than Provider name locked. was able to do in nine. Provider name locked. is lying, there is still no new paint on the walls and it will be another week at least before painting is done. You can't put paint on walls during lead paint abatement as you will spread what you are trying to get rid of in the first place.
Feel free to see the mess:
Note in the photostream that work terminated with Provider name locked. on May 31 2015 and a new contractor starts on April 6, first photos posted are on the 8th. You can see the state the apartment is left in on the 31st.
I have also just been quoted $2600 to refinish the floors as they have been smeared with lead paint dust, sludge/residue and stripper. Thanks, what was supposed to be an $8000 project will now cost us over $21,500. So much for vacation this year... and next.

The service went very well. The staff is very pleasant to work with and friendly. They are totally on top of their business. I was able to install the shades myself. When it gets windy the awning automatically retracts. It is a great product and works perfectly for what we needed. It did take a bit longer to receive the awning because they were custom made which we expected. They were very punctual.- KILIAN G.
Response to my first call was immediate. Appointment kept, measurements taken and styles chosen with our input, estimate made, material and color samples sent promptly. All information requested by building's board and management and landmarks was delivered promptly, I.e, license, insurance, drawings, details on installation. Due to family circumstances, we had many delays in installation -- all our fault but no pressure applied. Provider name locked. Rice was extremely patient with us, and when a date was finally selected, his work crew showed up on time, worked quickly and efficiently. The consulted with us on a detail or two, disposed of the old hardware, worked quietly and cleaned and swept up all debris, then made sure we understood how to operate correctly. We love the new awning and were extremely impressed by all aspects of the process. Provider name locked. Rice was a gem to work with.
