Optometry reviews in New Orleans

Problems from the beginning seeing properly from all three pair. Rather than check the prescription, the doctor told me I was wearing them too low, and remade all the lenses with the prescription jammed up to the top. They damaged my Provider name locked. frames purchased from them a few years ago, and took 5 weeks to repair. Ultimately, I had to go to another doctor, who found the original prescription error, and is remaking the lenses, properly placed.
Please note, this review is specific to the hired doctor (Dr. Provider name locked. ), as Provider name locked. Brown is no longer on site to attend to patients.

Being that I am somewhat new to New Orleans, I had no idea who to call for an eye doctor appointment. I took my chances and went to the clinic that was closest to my house. I was very unhappy with the whole experience. The office was seemingly unattended when I arrived, but the doors were unlocked, so I went in and waited in the waiting room. Twenty minutes later, Dr. Provider name locked. walked in apologizing. I found out, while I was there, that Dr. Provider name locked. was an opthalmalogist, not an optometrist. I asked him if he could examine me for glasses and contacts and he said that he did it ALL the time, and it was not a problem. But, it was. My eyeglass exam went fine, but the contact exam seemed to confuse the doctor. He couldn't figure out what my prescription was, and was even working on the math for the contact prescription for thirty minutes or so. At one point, he even showed me his calculations and asked if I thought they were right. Of course, I had no idea. Once he was done, he had his receptionist, a nice woman, order the contacts. I was told it would be several days before the contacts came in, and they were supposed to call me when the arrived. 2 weeks later, I had my husband and daughter swing by the doctor's office, because they were in the area. My husband asked a lady working there if the contacts had come in, and she was extrememly rude... said that I wasn't even paying for those contacts---they were just a trial pair, so why would I be in such a rush?! The contacts came in 2 months later. And they weren't the right perscription. I couldn't see a thing. I went back for another check up, got more contacts..... same thing. I wasted my one free annual trip (vision insurance) on this bogus doctor.- greta G.
I have been going for about 6 months. It's a very good experience, and I never feel hurried. The doctor is very thorough. They carry a lot of stylish frames. The take a lot or insurance carriers.- nancy B.
