  My John Deere lawn tractor blades were not engaging. Tony arrived exactly on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and explained it clearly. He pulls a trailer that acts as his shop on wheels, complete with a portable generator for his power. He has installed a power winch just inside his trailer and thus is able to lift the mower so that it is standing on its back wheels. He then has direct access to both above and below the deck. He quickly cleaned and serviced all the moving parts and now it works great. Can highly recommend his " at your house" service.

  Jeff was very professional, called and kept me posted on progress of work and even took photos of items he had done. Brought me the old belt. It is refreshing to find a company that is in the service business that calls you with updates. REturns calls when you call him back. He also had a facebook page and a website . Using 2 other lawnmower repair companies on the north shore, I was worried I was going get taken for a huge bill and lawn mower was not actually repaired. The last company said he fixed the mower and actually was worst than when I gave him the machine to repair. The total bill was $340.00 ( $60.00 was pick up and delivery fee). This cost included: Synthetic oil, filter, two pulley, fuel filter, belt, air filter and pre-air filter. and 1.5 hours of labor.

  He found the problem quickly. Unfortunately, the motor is on it's last leg. He did put together a cheap repair that should keep it running as long as possible. Good guy and reasonable price. He got me an appointment quickly and was finished in about an hour or so. The best part about the experience was that I didn't have to load my mower into my truck and bring it in to a shop just to wait days for an estimate. I would use him again.

  They did a complete service that included changing the oil, spark plugs, pick up, and delivery. They are responsive but sometimes you have to be on a waiting list for pick up. They get your stuff turned around within a week. The only thing I can complain about is that their pick up service is only on the weekend. You can take it in yourself during the week though. I purchased it there and I have been doing business with them since 2005. A lot of places don't offer the pick up service. The B in responsiveness is because they have a tendency of saying they will be there on Saturday but don't give a time frame so you have to wait around the house until they show up. I have them do the maintenance each year before I put the equipment away. They know why I am getting the service and what I want.

  I agree sometimes it's convenient and cheaper to just toss out something old and buy a new replacement, but this ancient battle-worn mower really fits the bill for "they just don't make 'em like they used to." So I wanted to get the old mule back on her feet after I ran over a nasty chunk of rock and the engine conked out and wouldn't start up again. Luckily there's Williams and Williams in New Orleans. All they do is repair lawn mowers, and many in the lawn care trade have their equipment serviced there. In my case they replaced the bent-up blade (more work than you'd think thanks to age and the jolt from the rock), reset the timing, and put in a new pull cord and had her running almost good as new by the next day. The cost was more than I wish I had to pay, but they were upfront about what needed to be done and how much it would cost (estimates are free), and the final amount was exactly as they promised.

  My gas trimmer was hard to start and hard to keep running. When I described the problem they thought ii could be a coil problem and estimated around $60 OR $70. I was willing to pay it since the trimmer was relatively young and worth saving. I was pleasantly surprised when they called back in a couple of days ( I expected at least a week) and told me they only needed to adjust the carburetor and the bill was $9.00.
