Chimney Cap Repair reviews in New Orleans

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Made appointment, got email reminder day before, they called a half hour before arriving to confirm that someone was home, arrived/introduced themselves and went to work. Explained what was dirty and reassured that everything was in good shape. No safety issues noted. It was a pleasure doing business with these guys.

  • I live in New Orleans area and this company is from Florida panhandle. They only visit NOLA once every two weeks or so they told me. I was at least 3 weeks between scheduling the initial appt and the actual appt. The initial inspection went well and they told me a special chimney cap would have to be ordered for my 1976-built house. I paid half and waited to hear back. 2-3 weeks later, they come back to install only to tell me that endangered birds have nested in my chimney since the initial visit so we will need to wait until the birds leave in order to install. I was not told this prior to paying them money. I initially called late April and the second appt was not until July. What I thought was a simple installation has now turned into a 6-month process or so it seems. I complained to management about their unprofessional sales approach and was told I was not a nice person and they refunded my money and told me to get the work done elsewhere.

  • These guys did an excellent job. It wasn't cheap, but it was worth it. They assessed the chimney and broken damper and made recommendations re what should be done. In our case, it was not only the damper but a lot of lost mortar and a decomposed cap that needed repair since that was allowing water to come into the fireplaces and had rusted the damper cable. The contractor who we dealt with, Christian, was very professional and pleasant, and helped sell me on the job.

  • They were very efficient and professional. The owner, Ryan was on the jobsite throughout the job and was extremely easy to work with. The work they did was well worth the money paid. In this day and age, it is most refreshing to find a company that stands by their work and provides a quality product and service instead of just trying to make a buck.

  • Noble was a no-show. I called to see if the sweep was running behind on the day of my appointment, and my call was not returned. I called a few days later to reschedule, but, once again, my call was never returned.

  • We're happy we had the work done. Arc identified several big issues with the chimney due to the prior owner's neglect and we hired Arc to fix some of the issues. The two professionals who came (for separate tasks) were very courteous and knowledgeable. They explained everything about the process.

  • Norman was personable, as was his son.
Options were spoken of and seemed good, and he contacted a supplier by phone to find out if the double sided coal basket was available and a custom one could be made.

He went up in my attic to look at my hvac problem also.
Gave me some verbal recommendations from what was visible without the unit on long enough to see the water leak.
He looked at the outside unit, too.

I think the visual inspection went well, but not worth the $169.00 fee.

The estimate for all fireplace work was emailed and a follow up phone call made to let me know the estimate was sent, but for removing the couple dozen bricks from my fireplace the estimate was far too high @ $900.00.

And I thought the remainder of the estimate to prepare the opening and place the ventless coal basket inside was also too high @ $2250.00.
The price of the basket itself was acceptable, custom made with shipping included.

I wrote back that I thought the estimates were too high, and asked if he determined where my fireplace chimney was sealed, but did not get a response.
I called to get an hvac estimate sent and have not heard back.

  • Marc is a professional who communicates what he will do and then actually does it to the tee. His workers Antonio and Christa were excellent workers and artisans. Their  demeanor on the job was respectful and attentive. No tools, trash, or damage left behind at their departure. Marc was consistently informing me of what was happening over the  course of the two days. This allowed me to make plans and work in the house while they were there.  The whole experience was positive and he came through for us in a timely manner and understood the importance of following codes and rules governing construction and repair in an Historical District of our beautiful city.

  • They were very nice. He told me had a full scheudle and I explained my house was going up for inspection. He was able to squeeze me and in and took care of me.  I am happy with the service and happy with the price.

  • Marc was wonderful. very knowledgeable. I thought I would have to remove my entire chimney to totally resolve my problem. He had the solution. He was careful to go over everything and came back the night before the job was to start to be sure I had covered my chimney openings securely so as to keep out any dirt and suet that may fall into the house.

It took 2 days because of all the rain we were having and on both days the property was totally clean. You could not tell anyone had been working.

After the job was completed he came by and showed me pictures of the rotten wood he had to replace. He charged only $90.00 more for all the wood he had to get to replace all the rotten boards

I am definitely using Acme Roofing any time I need roofing work done.
