    The refrigerator in the garage was not cooling and ice was building in the freezer wall. The thermostat and defrost heater were replaced but when it came time to plug the refrigerator into the outlet that had been on for the last 17 years, it shorted. The technician used an extension cord to get power to it from a hallway outlet inside the house so he could test the parts. He told me that the GFI unit in the garage was bad and needed to be replaced and once that happened, the refrigerator would work. I hired an electrician to replace such GFI but he assured me that it was in working order. After I explained how this issue had come up, he tested the refrigerator to check if he could give it power without having it connected to the distribution box, which sends the power to the different components in the refrigerator. The refrigerator turned on without shorting, but once connected to the distribution box it did. I called Mr. Appliance and asked to talk to a manager. Mark called me back and I explained the situation. He asked me to give him time to investigate and that he would come to check the refrigerator if needed. That conversation took place on January 29, 2020. Since then, I've left messages on Mark's phone on February 12th and 26th. No response. I called the shop on February 19th and 26th asking to speak to a manager. Message is taken. No response. I am looking for a refund for the service I paid, since I have been more than patient on this issue and it's clear I am getting the run-around from this company but I cannot talk to anyone ! Please help

    I never got a call back from Action Appliance Svc. Left a voice message explaining the service I needed and asking someone to call back. It has been 24 hours and still no call back, I ended up going elsewhere for service since I needed help fast. I understand they might be busy, but I can't imagine they don't have someone in the office taking phone calls and scheduling service appointments.

    i was given a four hour window, and the technician was SUPPOSED to arrive between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.   at 1:40 i received a call saying he was an hour away and probably wouldn't get here until 3:30.  we all know what the law is on this, and the company/technician had nor intention to meet their obligation.
    the technician checked the refrigerator and proclaimed i needed a new condensor and gave a verbal estimate for that.  i requested the estimate in writing which caused a whole international incident pertaining to paper for his little machine.  the estimate was +/-  $800.   
    the technician then handed a form to me which, in large letters, states, "sears  it's time to replace your appliance".   he hand wrote a bunch of identifying numbers on it which, i'm certain, relates to some commission he would get if i did, in fact, choose to replace my refrigerator with another kenmore, and it showes that i'd get a 10% discount if i spent some certain amount on a new appliance.
    really?  replace it?  not repair it?   
    i knew something was wrong, so i contacted a non-sears, non-kenmore appliance repair company for a second opinion.   in less than ten minutes the starter NOT the compressor was replaced and the refrigerator has been running perfectly ever since.  it cost less than $150.
    LESS THAN $150!!!
    i will never, EVER purchase another kenmore anything, nor will i ever call sears home services again.  it's a scam.

    this company has always been great; i can't believe i haven't written a review for them before today!

    on the most recent occasion, my dryer wasn't drying and my refrigerator wasn't cooling.  dave has come to work on my dryer in the past, once when the heating element failed and once when the tumbler thingies were broken.  each time he quickly repaired the dryer and charged a very reasonable price for the repair.  this time, it turns out the dryer wasn't broken; it was working as it was supposed to, and was turning off when it became too hot.  it was getting too hot because the hose in the back was getting scrunched so the heat was building up, which tripped a safety switch.  dave found the right position for the dryer (the builder didn't leave sufficient room for this), and now the dryer works again.

    the OTHER problem was that after a power outage on christmas eve, the refrigerator stopped working.  dave checked everything and replaced a little starter thingie, and now i've got cold food AND ice! 

    there really isn't a reason to call any other company, ever.  h&h is the absolute best.  they always arrive in the window they've indicated, dave is always professional and personable, the price is always good, and my appliances always end up working again.

    just wanted to add that, when you call this company to make an appointment, a REAL person answers the phone, and that person is very kind and very professional and will not rush you off the phone.

    The services never happened. Don said that he would call me ahead of showing up and it never happened.  I called him at 545 to ask about the appointment and he clearly had "forgotten" about the appointment - which did not make me feel like a valued customer.  After giving him all my information (name, location and time of service) he simply said, "missed that one" and "I'm 40 miles away...would you like to reschedule?".  I declined.  In "today's world", you can't provide bad customer service... I will simply move on to the next company that will show up in the scheduled appointment time and take my business seriously.

    Liberty Appliance Repair
    Fantastic work. We gave Steve the details of what was wrong with our oven along with the make and model number. He ordered the part necessary for the repair and called 2 days later to arrange a time for the repair. Our oven was fixed and my wife was so impressed that she turned down the Angie's List discount.
    Highly recommend.

    Made an appointment with this provider to be seen today 10-9-2014
    between 3-6 pm. I called  back to clarify was was told that it would
    cost 55 dollars for them to show up and troubleshoot. I said okay made
    the appointment than waited until 20 minutes before 6pm. The tech told
    me that they had called and no one answered so they went on to next
    call. Ten minutes and even passed by unbelievable very unprofessional. I
    had already stated that I wanted the appointment and that I was will to
    pay 55 dollars for someone to show up between the hours of 3-6pm.
    Horrible experience.

    Donny called about 40 minutes prior to coming to my house, allowing me time to leave work and get home. He arrived 10 minutes early. He quickly assessed the problem which was a very clogged filter. There was no way I could have ever done this repair myself. He fixed the problem and the whole job only took about 45 minutes. He indicated before he even came out his service charge was $70.00 and I thought his overall invoice for $125.00 was reasonable. Others I called told me they normally charge $45, but for my "type" of washer it would be $150 just to do an estimate. I will call Don's Appliance again if needed.

    I would definitely recommend this service provider.
    I called the number listed on Angie's List for H&H Appliance in Ripon, and was redirected to the Modesto office. (I live in Modesto.) As the two businesses seem to be related. I'm leaving the review here. 
    A technician was available within 24 hours, so I made an appointment for a 2-5 p.m. window. The technician called me about 15 minutes prior to his arrival at 4 p.m. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the parts in stock, and made the repair. While he was completing the work, I mentioned a problem with my washer. He was able to diagnose that problem as well, and I'll be making a follow-up appointment for the work to be completed.
    H&H works on all major appliances -- so I now have a go-to appliance repair place. Thanks!
