  • My back has been hurting for years and every other chiropractor I've seen hasn't helped--until I came to Advacare Clinics. Along with seeing Dr. Dennis for my chiropractor visits, I've implemented physical therapy a couple times a week and it's helped my back immensely. I'm a server so I'm on my feet long hours. I could only go a day or two before I'd get shooting pains up my back, I've only been going to advacare clinics a few months and I can work a full week without feeling sore. Great facility! Great staff! Great all around!

  • Beware of MAPS! They nickel-and-dime your insurance company by insisting you go through painful and unnecessary injections...despite the condition of your condition. You are "required" to participate in at least 2 MAPS "Services". One being your pain management through medication (which is effective for me) and the other "service" to be determined off their a la carte menu....mainly, unnecessary steroid injections. Which, by the way, are NOT good for the body long term. It's a SCAM people. "Just say no" to MAPS bilking your insurance company and putting you in harms' way through injections they tell you will relieve your pain. Don't forget to look up the side of effects of these injections....something MAPS is not exactly forthcoming about.

  • Dr Britton himself is great! He listens to his patients, doesn't make major med changes normally but prefers to gradually adjust to find the right balance while not potentially putting the patient through a roller coaster if the changes are ineffective. The glaring problem tends to be the staff. Some, not all, of his staff are so rigid with what they go by as clinic rules that they are horrible to deal with & quick to tell you "That's not my job" or pass you around while no one is willing to help sort out the issue at hand. They block messages or calls to Dr Britton regarding that issue so you are left frustrated and feeling the only way to get things dealt with is to report them to the state agencies that oversee them. As long as you don't have anything come up they are fine to deal with, which is why I stayed there for almost a year. Now that I've been battling with the office staff for weeks to get my issue resolved I'm ready to look elsewhere for a different pain clinic.
They do have strict rules to follow at this pain clinic which I understand and have followed 100% as it protects those pain patients and allows them access to pain relief in this day and age where we have addicts abusing the system simply to get high. This clinic's staff in my opinion tends to look at every patient as if they are addicts and not truly suffering chronic pain. You would think that someone as compassionate & caring of a doctor as Dr Britton would have staff that treated his patients the same way he does. There's enough of a stigma in society already towards chronic pain patients that require some form of medication on a regular basis to maintain the best quality of life possible given their medical issues without the staff at a reputable pain clinic carrying the same disdain towards them and interacting with them as if they are nothing more than a junkie who's beneath them.
(I will say there are 2-3 people on staff at the Britton Pain Clinic who are really nice and genuinely seem to care &/or have compassion for the patients they see. Sadly, there are more than not.)

  • I was having some pain because I needed a knee replacement, so I needed some pain relief before my surgery. I think my knee was too far gone. I liked them. They were really nice. They are real close to my house, that's why I started going there. I have not used them since I had my surgery.
  • The body work brings me relief. I have energy, ease in breathing, and muscles unknotted. My facial color returns to normal, energy is raised, walking stronger and my mood improved.
I arrive before my appointment, freshly showered, no perfumes on my hair or body.I go into his room with the massage table heated and with sheet and blanket, air cleaner and MPR softly. I undress as I feel I want to and stretch out.  He knocks, asks how the days were for me -stomach upset, food poisoning, too tired, tripped while walking , legs didn't get messages from my brain, eating well, not sleeping?  He is very professional , listens well, talks about what might help me and then begins with lymph nodes under my arms and between my ribs. All those places that my ribs don't do its work.    I can relax and think about my breathing in and out.The muscles on my upper chest get released by pressure, the neck, and the swallowing muscles.  Then I turn over and the long back rub, pushing on my "wings" and other tight places around my throat. If I feel particularly weak he tailors the pressure and length.  He washes his hands, leaves the room so I dress and go out to his desk to chat and pay by check.

I do not call to chat at other times, I respect his profession and his knowledge of the human body, all  in his quiet way. I give him credit for not being afraid to work on me. because of the declining chronic disease  of post polio. If I have  an illness or physical problem, he cannot improve he encourages me to seek my  MD Internist, or dentist, He cannot do everything, and he will tell you that up front. Our entire family has been helped by Byron over the years. helping broken bones heal, bruised hips relieved, or sore back from too much weekend work.disappear.  He is top notch.

  • As usual, Byron and I have a very informative and pleasurable time together.  He helps me with what needs work on my body and tells me what he is doing so that I can stay informed.  It is my body, after all, and we are working on it together.
He is always prompt, easy to talk to, and willing to try new techniques and methods if I am agreeable after explaining it fully.
I can always reach him thereafter by email or phone if I have a question and he's prompt to respond.  It's easy to set up new appointments with him although he has many ongoing patient appointments.  If I run out of supplements or need something tested, he'll have me come during his lunch hour or between appointments.  He's very accommodating and willing to learn if I have something that I've discovered and wish to share.
I would recommend him to others (and I do) without hesitation.

  • I have been seeing Byron for nearly 20 years and I always look forward to my appointments with him.  He's a top-notch professional who runs an efficient operation.  I always feel better when I leave his office.  I have referred many people to him over the years and they have appreciated finding out about his work.  Byron is committed to improving the quality of life for his clients and he does so very well.

  • After my car accident I was in severe pain and was looking for a way to manage the pain and get better without taking drugs. I was referred to Dr. Valeriano and even though I was a bit nervous and didn't know what to expect I was very glad I decided to try acupuncture and herb treatment! Dr. Valeriano was very professional and thorough, he explained everything and in just a few appointments my pain was about 80% gone! The best part is he worked directly with my insurance company (Auto Owners) and there was no out-of-pocket cost to me! I have been using them ever since and referred several friends to them and all have been very happy with their results. If you are in pain and nervous about trying acupuncture I highly recommend Acupuncture Associates, try them once and the results you get will have you coming back every time you are in pain.

  • It was a great first experience for my first time getting acupuncture. I was apprehensive having never had needles stuck into me, but Dr Valeriano made sure the muscles were well warmed up and I never even noticed the needles. The herbal patch he sent me home with also worked to ensure the muscle remained ready for the race. It was so effective that I was not only able to run my race, but I cut 7 minutes off my time from the previous year. Dr. Valeriano was also able to provide me information to help prevent similar injuries in the future through diet recommendations. I am happy to return for any further needs.

  • I have been seeing Sarah for some time now, perhaps 2years. I keep going back because I feel better with regular treatments. Her knowledge is phenomenal, prescribing herbs when appropriate , gently applying needles and even electric stimulation (I believe that is what it is called) when needed or indicated. I would use words like gentle , compassionate, professional, perceptive , attentive to describe her manner during her practice.
