Land Surveying reviews in Minneapolis

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They agreed to have it done within 7 to 10 business days which was welcome since other services had a longer delay. They were open to negotiating for the specific services we required and not charging us for more than we needed. Their final cost was 40% less than another Angie's A-lister that we consulted. When we needed a hard copy of the survey on short notice for the application, Mimi was great in getting that done and leaving them for pick-up at their office. Their survey satisfied all the requirements so that wrecking could go forward.

  • Kim was very professional. He showed up on time, explained how he would locate existing pins and establish where missing pins would be. He used laser survey equipment and took his time. I watched and asked questions , which was no problem for him. I felt confident and comfortable with his skills and results! I would recommend him and definitely use him again! Thanks Kim!

  • They were responsive and could perform the work quickly. We ended up needing 2 surveys as part of a variance application and both visits were handled professionally. They were familiar with the extensive survey report required for the Minneapolis variance application.

  • I needed a lot line survey for a deck project. I did not need the whole lot done, so Kim was willing to do the job on an hourly rate that was a great deal.  Line was very well marked, and everything else was as agreed, great service.

  • Advanced Surveying did a great job.  Very professional, responsive and helpful.  They have a great website.
I submitted a quote request through the link on their website and got a response at the beginning of the following day with a quote for the land surveying we wanted done before we installed a new fence.  We asked to have a quote for the lot corners marked and a basic drawing, which we got, with all the necessary details laid out in layman's terms.  I was impressed that they also suggested that we actually didn't need a drawing to install a fence and so wanted to let us know.  It's not often a contractor will recommend you spend less money.
For the actual process, they came out and did the survey in one day and sent the drawing to us the same day, asking if we wanted any revisions or additions to the drawing.  We had a few minor updates, which were completed in less than a day and received a final PDF version as we well as 3 paper copies mailed to us.
Overall, really great service!  I highly recommend and would use again.

  • I don't write reviews often, but in this case had to share my experience.  The communication with the company has been awful.  Multiple calls and emails go unanswered.  The work was returned to us weeks after it was estimated and was not completed to the level requested.  Multiple attempts to address questions and request follow up to complete the work have been unanswered.

  • Mr. Cardarelle was recommended by two different fence companies, I can only imagine because he is by far the cheapest surveyor I found for the services I needed.
Here is what you get, however: no office, website or email, just a phone number that may or may not be answered in order to leave a message that may or may not be returned. After two tries (without response), I finally got him on the phone. He was a harried, distracted individual who ostensibly took down my information and said I would go on "the list" but he was unable to tell me when he might show up, or even confirm that he would show up at all.
I waited four weeks, with multiple attempts to re-contact in the interim, and have finally given up.
    Caveat emptor.

  • Kim was very responsive. He even adjusted his schedule to come to our house a week early since we were nervous about a fence we had just installed. Very helpful and professional. We would definitely recommend Kim for anyone looking to get their land surveyed.

  • EDS returned my call within 24 hours. They were friendly, courteous, and answered all of my questions without making me feel like an idiot. They gave me a quote over the phone and detailed the price for each line item. We were able to schedule the work about 1.5 weeks out. I did not have to be present when they came to do the survey. They initially only put in the 4 corner wooden monuments (since all originals were missing on our property). I had asked for two center line monuments as well when I got the original quote, so they came back out a couple of days later to put those in without a hassle. I contacted other surveying companies that never even got back to me. EDS made this a very simple process for us and I would gladly recommend them to others.

  • I submitted a request via their website last night and they had a proposal back to me before 10 am this morning.  They said they were 5 - 7 days out to do the work.

Very professional quote, and very responsive.  I found someone to do the work for the same price sooner so I went with another company
