    His fee for the service was half of what others quoted, and he provided thorough, high-quality work.

  • I am profoundly disappointed in the customer service I received since making the initial down payment on my gas insert on November 29, 2014.  Prior to purchasing the unit, I received exemplary service, with Provider name locked. Pierce answering all my questions and promising to be able to install the unit on one visit, unlike other fireplace insert providers in the community which required multiple appointments for installation and inspection.  Based on the information he was able to provide about the fireplaces, the insert to be installed itself and to no small degree the promise that it would be fully installed in one appointment, I purchased the unit on November 29th.
    I was informed that the installation wouldn’t be until January 2nd, but—again—because I was promised that it would be completely installed and fully functioning on that one appointment—and I wouldn’t have to take multiple days off of work, I agreed to the delayed installation date.  Unfortunately, shortly before installation (December 19th), I received an email from Mr. Provider name locked. that the installation would occur on January 2nd; however, the city of Minneapolis couldn’t inspect the unit until January 5th, requiring an additional appointment for which I would have to take time away from work.  Since my schedule is quite demanding, I couldn’t confirm that I would be available on January 5th, so I was provided the name and contact information for
    the city inspector, and was informed that I would need to take care of that myself “for matters of efficiency.”  That efficiency required two days of phone tag, and a different inspector than who was initially provided me.
    On December 30th, I received an email from Mr. Pierce indicating that they would be installing the insert on January 2nd, but that the custom surround had not yet arrived so they would provide a temporary surround.  I was informed that the custom surround “should be here next week and we will come back and swap them out when it arrives.”  On Tuesday, January 13, I still had not received any update regarding the custom surround, and contacted Mr. Provider name locked. via email.  He responded that “we should have it by Friday at the latest” and yet, as of this writing (January 20th), I still have not had a follow-up contact to inform me when it will be available for installation, an additional unanticipated appointment for which I will be required to take time away from work.
    Needless to say, this is extremely poor service, and I have been terribly inconvenienced.  With this issue still unresolved nearly a full three weeks after the promised install was to have been completed.  I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to others when I seem to have been dropped faster than a hot coal after they received my initial payment.
