  • Everything that could go wrong, DID. I’m 68 years old and had 2 separate rectal/colon surgeries done by Dr. Katz at the same time. One surgery was robotically assisted, the other involved removing over 13 in of colon. The medical records at St. Francis were falsified, example: Dr. Katz said he ordered home health nurses and physical therapy at home which were not ordered. I ran a temp of 102.8 one night (I’m a RN as was my daughter who was w me), it was charted much lower. Worst of all, I was not given adequate pain control in the hospital and esp at home later. The last pain med I was given by Dr. Katz was Lortab 5 mg one q 6 hrs, this was 10 days after very major surgeries. It was the most horrible experience of my life. I spent a lot of time in agony crying. Yes, I contacted the office several times as did my son. I’m 68, not a drug addict but a lady w extensive surgeries and little pain control during recovery. I feel this greatly delayed my recovery, as well as causing great mental distress.

  • Cindy Katz is DNP with Tommy Campbell and she is amazing. She provides a thorough evaluation, explanation of diagnosis, treatment and a follow up phone call (day or night) to see if you're feeling better.

  • Very poor communication from office staff and physician. Scheduling tests and getting feedback on test results was a big hassle. Repeatedly had to call and remind them to schedule a test for a potentially serious diagnosis. Repeatedly had to call to get test results which continued for many, many weeks after scan was performed. Office staff said they and/or physician would return calls but this never happened.

  • I have been going to this group for a while. The last three times the wait has been almost an hour past my appointment time. Today, after sitting in the reception area for 50 minutes, I asked the receptionist if she had forgotten me, as every patient that came in after me had been called back. I was advised my doctor was running 35-45 minutes behind, at a minimum. They knew this when I checked in. The decent thing to do would have been to inform me of that and allow me to make the decision as to whether to stay or reschedule. If I showed up an hour and forty five minutes late for my appointment, they wouldn't consider seeing me. I loved Dr. Donato but the third time of waiting this long was too much. Maybe they have gotten too big, too quickly and can't keep up with the demand. If you don't mind the wait, they're a really good group. But don't go expecting to get in and get out quickly. And I understand there are emergencies. But let your patients know.

  • I visited the Ruch Clinic throughout this year during my first pregnancy and delivery. They were excellent through every part of this pregnancy. After having appointments with most of the doctors at the Ruch Clinic during my first trimester (including the excellent Dr. Long and Dr. Bishop) I settled on Dr. Duggirala as my main OB/GYN as I felt that we were most compatible. She was an amazing caregiver, and very attentive through the ups and downs of my high risk pregnancy. She and the ultrasound technician caught a major problem at 25 weeks that probably saved my baby. I was so happy to make it to 39 weeks and deliver safely. Dr. Duggirala made it to my delivery after working a very long shift and brought in the very experienced Dr. Pickens to help with my birth (I ended up needing an emergency c-section). I appreciated that Dr. Duggirala really made the effort to follow my birth plan and to help me have a vaginal delivery (helping me to actively push for over 3 hours), despite the eventual outcome. I thought that both doctors were excellent in the delivery room and would choose them to deliver any future children. I also thought that the staff in the Ruch Clinic during appointments (the clerical staff, the nursing staff, the woman who does the blood work, and the ultrasound technicians) were also very good and always very welcoming and helpful. The only downside with this provider is that occasionally there are extremely long waits to see the doctor. Generally, though, I feel that I received excellent service from the Ruch Clinic.

  • My services were covered under workers comp, I do not know the cost.  I broke my ankle in at least 2 places and it was not good. My surgeon at Campbell took 3.5  hours to put it back together with plates and screws.  After 6 weeks of bed rest, therapy started.
After 6 weeks of therapy I was walking no crutches no braces.  The whole experience was as good as it gets.  The staff was great, learning to walk again was harder then a I thought.  My therapists were wonderful. Now 7 months after surgery, 2 plates and 11 screws I am bicycling.  I hope not to need them again, but strongly recommend them to anyone.

  • I would recommend them. I call them at 5 o'clock and they are getting ready to close. Sometimes they may run behind but they get us in and out of it. They have a lot of patients. When I come upfront, I get checked in and they usually try to help you. They are good at communication. I think the treatment was very effective. We haven't had any problem until last month where I had to go to the Urgent Clinic. They did everything I thought they could do to find out what was wrong with her. If you have a heart condition, go to Stern Cardiology.

  • Dr. Alford was an adequate medical provider.  However, whenever discussing something personal, she'd roll her eyes.  What made me leave this practice was the staff.  I had called to get refills on two of my maintenance medications and was informed by a staff member that Dr. Alford wouldn't authorize refills for anyone she hadn't seen in the past year.  I assured the staff member that I had seen Dr. Alford in March of this year and she said that their medical records did not show that I had been there in March.  She angrily argued with me on the phone even after I assured her I had record of having paid a copay for that date in March.  She said she'd have to look into the matter further but said I'd only seen my specialist in the past year.
I, myself, am a physician and definitely know when I've seen my physician, for what reason(s), and what medications/treatments were performed.  The staff member called back and said that they had found where I had been seen back in March.  I told her I expected to have my maintenance medications refilled but would be changing providers and provider offices.  She said, "that's ok.  We have enough patients anyway."
The office called me back when it was time for my annual exam and I told the staff member I was changing physicians and why.  She didn't say anything and just hung up.

  • The operation was exactly right on time as scheduled, painless & minimally evasive.
Dr. Andrews is a master of his art & I highly recommend him.
Furthermore, Dr. Andrews has a GREAT bedside manner & truly cares about his patients.

  • I am satisfied with them. They do take Medicare, a lot of people are not taking new Medicare patients. I needed a prescription refilled. They are really nice people. There wasn't a big problem in waiting, it was normal. Generally speaking, they are really good.
