Transmission Service reviews in Madison

We were referred to Provider name locked. through an auto repair shop found on Angie's List. Our transmission was taking a long time to shift and the backend of the vehicle was making loud noises. Provider name locked. said to bring it right in and Provider name locked. test drove the vehicle and tested the transmission. The transmission didn't need any work at this time, but the backend definitely had serious issues. Once Provider name locked. tore into the backend, he found that, in addition to needing new bearings, we needed both axle shafts replaced. It took a couple days to get the parts due to backorder, but once the parts came in, he had the repair work done pronto. The noise is gone and I am extremely happy with the work that was done by the crew at Provider name locked. .- Dale B.
I have been going to West Side service center for the past 3 years, even though I live clear across town. It was recommended to me by a coworker, and far worth the drive. West Side is friendly, reliable, and a good deal for the price. They're small and off the beaten path, but because they are knowledgeable and fair always busy. They'll drop you off or pick you up if need be, have good advice, and perhaps most important in a mechanic, are honest.- SARA N.
We love Provider name locked. on Park St! I rarely praise a company with the furosity that I praise this Provider name locked. - everyone that works there is great, especially the manager Provider name locked. who is a godsend and whose spectacular attitude and service infect all of his employees. He is always honest and fair about the problem - he never tries to upsell, and he is always forthright with all our options and accurate with the cost estimate. He always recommends the most economical approach both for the long-term health of the car and for price of the current service. He remembers me and my wife whenever we in, and it seems he knows every other customer that comes through the door whenever we are there. With the leak in our transmission, they faced an incredibly tricky situation. The transmission system in our SUV spans the entire car, and the leak was too slow to be detected by sight. A dye was injected and we were sent on with the car to allow it to circulate; when we returned, hours were spent dissecting the car to find the source of the leak, which ended up being a minute crack in a condenser coil concealed deep within the engine. Throughout the diagnosis, all the staff were wonderful - working diligently, ensuring we had everything we needed, and giving regular updates and ensuring we still had time, always offering to allow us to take the car and return and they would pick up where they left off due to the time involved. In addition, they always go the extra mile. When it became clear the service was going to take hours, the manager (Provider name locked. ) himself drove me home so they could continue working on the car and I wouldn't need to sit in the shop. He is an all around wonderful person, and runs a spectacular shop.
We simply could not have had a better experience anywhere, period. It's so rare to find an honest mechanic, a mechanic not trying to sell extra, trying to provide the most economical option, and providing good service and value and excellent repairs/work - Provider name locked. , and his staff (especially Provider name locked. ) all exemplify the customer service and attitude that should exist in every industry - if it did, the world would be a happier place. I am thankful we have them to address our needs, and to know that we are not being misled when a problem comes up that is beyond our understanding/experience.
