I used to really enjoy Provider name locked. as a bank, but the service as of late has gone down hill significantly. They have significantly increased their fees. One fee for an international check went up 500% from $5.00 to $25.00 as an example. They have now launched a new web site that is just awful. It went from a Provider name locked. online banking experience to being a royal headache. A few days after they launched, they sent out an e-mail stating how the new web site was "so popular", some customers were having difficulty accessing the site. Great spin on a crashed site that wasn't working. Given that, I waited a few days for them to get the site fixed and running. A few days later, I tried to sign on, and the site directed me to a web site stating it still wasn't working and to try again later. A week later, finally got on after a legnthy re-enrollment process that was all about all their great new "security enhancements". It was buying an "ultra secure bike lock" only to discover it was 10 different padlocks all with different combinations that you could use to keep your bike safe. After getting on, I was unable to access the different accounts I had with them even though I was able to do that easily with the old site. After looking around the site for quite some time trying to figure it out, I gave up and called them. Apparently that's a feature you have to call them directly to get them to link the accounts, something they failed to mention in the FAQ's they like to highlight so much. Today I tried to access the bill Provider name locked. feature I have used for over a year. Oops, another sign up feature just waiting to waste my time. And of course, this requires another user name, and another password, but this password must be different that what you use to access the web site, as it will only take 8 characters, no more, no less. After another sign up process is completed, your ready to pay your bills. Well, not really. You see, they will let you pay them, depending on how much they are. If you try to pay more than what they will let you pay, it won't let you. It tells you that you have exceeded the amount allowed for "unverified" accounts. They will not tell you what that amount is mind you, you apparently are supposed to guess. I know your thinking I should just "verify" the account right? Of course I should. But wait, they won't let me do that either. Apparently I have to wait for another day, maybe tomorrow, then I can come back, and then I can verify my account. And then maybe I can pay my bills that they claim will save me money because "it's just a click away" it's that easy. I would stay away from this bank at all costs for at least 6 months. Clearly customer service has been lost here in the name of security.
